I did two tours in Bosnia and more than once. I have people try to kill me with a knife. I guess I know nothing...and the guy in the video and yourself? how many knife fights to the death have you had?
in now on these day we need to learn to protect yourself and family, we need to learn a self tactic defense to fight back the enemies for good intention . Very deadly and dangerous tactics but it is very important to learn these kind of skills.
Um. You are not fighting back against a knife attack. Unless you are much more athletic you’ll lose. Here’s what to do instead. 1. Walk away 2. Pick up an object to throw 3. Yell 4. (Most important) beware of your surroundings don’t get in a situation where you’ll be attacked. It’s easy if you really pay attention. 5. If you get into a knife fight sorry there is a high chance you’ll lose….thats even if you win. Don’t listen to BS martial arts that don’t work in the real world. Don’t believe me watch real knife fights on TH-cam you’ll see.
" CHAPEAU " MR. Apolo Ladra, FFS, or FMA, is the Best Combat Martial Art !!! I Love, this Combat Art, very effective, skillful, and a lot of Speed !! All the Best !!! " A prepared Man, is a safe Man !".
There are lots of them. The pin to the body is cool when it’s sticks but not worth the risk if it’s a knife. I don’t know about you or this gentleman but this requires that everything go 100% perfectly for us in a fight and in fights and training, so far things have never gone 100% perfectly for me. Other trapping and locking techniques create openings that are just as good as this without the risk. Remember, you’ve got his knife pinned, but the knife has your free hand pinned. How much is really being gained here?
One fundamental of FMA I learned was that when a person attacks you...they make themselves vulnerable..because they are in range for a counter attack. Basically its block..check..and counter attack.
I think the word you were looking for is soto uke ...its called an inside block by those who don't know any better as there are no blocks only strikes ....you are not blocking the arm you're striking the offending arm ....remember though the real technique is hidden
Pinning the knife to the body like this looks cool and looks fun but there are so many reasons why this can go horribly wrong and it’s giving you a kind of ok hand fighting W in exchange for potentially having that hand completely taken out of the game along with potential afterial bleeding and near certain lacerations to the bicep and pec. The hours you’d need to put in to make sure you have this wrist control down so well that it still works when covered with blood means it’s only working for kali grandpas against street thugs in the Philippines. For the rest of us, we need to focus on the techniques that offer almost as much control without making us vulnerable due to something not going 100% out way in a real knife fight cuz guess what, nothing in a fight will ever go 100% our way.
Yea.....I was thinking the same thing, that is a Risky move. Effective if you are a Master and can pull it off....But nothing a Novice should be trying.
You only knew you're own city... Living on you're own destopia, I guarantee you this technique is more ancient that you think... And its being used by the military...
I was trying to see how you don't cut your left wrist? When you pull the left hand back, you're removing your right hand first? I wish I could see the technique from the opposite side to see more of how the knife 🔪 holding hand is removed safely!!!
I would love to see this in real action because it is more like this so Guro what would be done in this case? th-cam.com/video/Fe2V_00jkP4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=12piVLarGIio6pVV
knife is hi speed attack weapon, user could change direction or fake attack anytime . only stupid person use wide swing, most attack are jabbing/stabbing.
@@greggybada There's counters for everything. That's not the point. I've studied kenpo for 30+ years. Trust me when I tell you. Nobody handles or swings with a knife like that if they're attacking you. The moves being used by the guy with the knife are unrealistic. That's all I'm saying.
@@rodimusprimetimeWHAT?! The tecniques his using were used during the colonial times of the phillipnnies more spefically the spanish rule over the phillipnnies and also kali/ekrisma/arnis are ACTUALLY used by our military
@@justsomebody5450 I stand by what I said. The teacher's techniques are accurate. There's no argument there. I am speaking on the perpetrator. No attacker with a knife will come like that. Period.
@rodimusprimetime Yes and no. An experienced fighter will definitely attack differently. However, there are many who are not trained who simply carry a knife. It is important to practice for both.
Very clean moves...simple and highly effective. Love FMA
unrealistic
@@mortgagefinancing5558 Of course you know nothing about knife

First time seeing a surgeon who never went to med school
He's actually a butcher moonlighting at the local mourge.
Knowing his ethnicity there’s a high chance he’s a nurse too
Your videos are amazing i am very interested in knife fighting keep posting more videos like this GodBless you forever
The self defense scrutiny is even more critical with a knife then with a gun.

Beautiful technique. I don't think I've see a lock technique with bladework. It's advanced stuff.

Those that carry a knife pay close attention.
Yes i am.😊
For those serious about knife defence: study FMA, not Krav Maga.
Apollo is a great instructor. He was my TKD instructor. I like him more when he was doing TKD.
You got bots in the comments, might wanna deal with that
Edit: good job, and great video. Thank you
❤❤❤amazing
This kinda sets up an eventual mega event pitting the best players from HCL vs the best players from Bally's
How many throats did this guy cut to learn it others?

The real deal not like all the fakes online. Offense and counter offense is the only defense in knife combat.
What in good names is this martial art called brother ?

Totally unreal …
Go to South America to poor neighborhoods and you’ll will see the REALITY of knife fighting carnage

how be a killer
Its for self defense in deadly encounter or deadly fight.
Than Ramon pulls out his gun and sensei Budo with his little razor has to run.😂

He could punch you in the neck, face and etc. With his left hand
