Nice pastel colors for the sky and lots of thin dark trunks with small branches and their reflections on left hand side. On the other side is a big huge dark tree with a few thin branches. Very lovely. Lots of yellow bushes on both sides. Bigger dark trunks on left hand side with reflections. A few banks on both sides with small rocks. Lovely reflection of sky colors on stream. Thank you so much for sharing and also for the lonely little bird. I enjoyed very much watching you painting.
Hi Steve I do REALLY like this one (not that I don't like your other ones) it is nice to see bright and more light. As they save, you can't get shadows without light. Way to go ! Merv
Just watching you painting Steven and tell you how much I like this big dark tree with so many different lines on the trunk which give it the look of a real beautiful trunk Thank you for this wonderful lesson and demos.
Thank you for all your wonderful videos, Steven. In the past 6 months I’ve attempted about 60 of your paintings and still cannot get close to your artistry. I’d like to see more of lighter work like this one. And I wonder if you’d care to paint a few big water coastal landscapes. I am on the Connecticut USA coast.
I wish you well with your watercolours Bob. Sounds like you've been practising hard. Stick with it and you'll get there. I've got a few scenes lined up for now but I'll bear your thought in mind for the future. Thanks Bob and happy painting!
Steven, as I already have a comment below, I am just watching you to see how you handle your brush and rigger, also how you put the painting on the paper. As for the big dark treethe trunk has not a uniform paint but different shapes which make it look like a really trunk. How did you do that ? I love this beautiful painting and I thank you Steven for sharing.
The different colours on the brush and various amounts of water all mix together on the paper to perform this effect. Keep experimenting and very best wishes
Yes, Steven, the lighter colours in your paintings give them a fresh look. I like this direction very much. The darker colours you have used in your other paintings are dramatic and rich, so I guess what I'm saying is I love them all. Love the cad yellow. Are you still using lemon yellow or have I missed too many videos where you have explained that? ;))
I bought cadmium yellow by mistake a while back and I've been using it ever since. I'm still quite happy with it so I'll be using it for the foreseeable future. Thanks for watching and happy painting
I don't know. I like the darker ones personally but more light is also beautiful even if not as dramatic. I really like trying these. The big flat brush is so un fussy .
I did enjoy watching this video. The colors made my day less gloomy.
Cheers Steve and very best wishes
Great one Steven. Love the bright colors. Way to go.

Thanks for your thoughts Annette. I think there's room for a bit of everything on here! Keep practising and very best of luck.
How wet is the paint when you use razor to create rocks? Love that technique
It's about half dry before I scrape in the rocks. Thanks for watching and happy painting!
