Dear Steven: First of all, I would like to express that I'm a grand admirer of you and love your work. You can't imagine how much I'm learning from your videos...just by watching, I take pleasure in your mastery.
Really loved this painting! Small detail, but I really think your figures are getting better! Over the years they have slowly become more intricate and elaborate, which really helps give life to the scene! I think it would have interesting to add little footsteps in the snow! Super good stuff!
Hermoso realmente Steven. Me gustó mucho ese cielo tranquilo (diferente de los que haces) y en general los colores de la paleta . FELICITACIONES y un maravilloso año!!!!
First of all thank you Steven for the New paintings. I really appreciate. On the horizon line are a few small pale trees and on the left hand side a big dark tree with two dark ones on each side. There is a small dark land in front of trees and from there some brown bushes going down the page with a few grasses. Parallel to these bushes are some more on same side. I think the shadows don't look bad but a bit less would be better as it's a "winter fields of snow water". Thank you Steven for this lovely scene. I have to stop I encountered a problem with my computer. Maybe I should buy a new one.
You seem to have had a few problems with your computer recently. Hope you manage to get it up and running again. Thanks as always for your support and best wishes.
Steven, I love your new painting very much and I would like to buy this one to have a "souvenir" of my wonderful Teacher hanging on the wall of my living room. I hope it will not be difficult to have it and that you'll answer my question on a previous comment as of the price and shipping. Steven, if it's too difficult and with many obstacles, don't even bother answering me. I'll understand and thank you just the same.
Steven I also love your painting of "Snow in the Village". How do I go to eBay to enter a bid ? My problem is that I know very little about computer. Would you be kind enough to help me ? Thank you Steven
Sorry for the delay in replying. On the ebay home page across the top left of the screen you'll find the help section. Ebay have help pages for doing anything on eBay. There's a beginners guide section so this would be the best place for you to start. You will also see help videos here on TH-cam if you search for something like 'how to I buy on eBay'. I hope these can help you. Let me know how you get on.
Thanks Steven... I still recommend your videos to my students... the importance for beginners to understand a limited palette cannot be stressed enough... even advanced painters go back to limited palettes when they find themselves losing their way. Design - Value - Harmony ... I try to explain to my students how you achieve these fundamentals in a 20 minutes or less video...
Steven, things have not changed and I will find obstacles concerning bid of paintings One has to be in place for that. So, I am wondering if it would be possible for you to put a price on this painting that I like ? I will than send you a Money Order. Excuse my bothering you Steven. I like so much this painting of "Winter fields..." that I am trying different ways to see how I can buy it. Thank you again for your "New" paintings.
Mireille unfortunately this painting has already sold. Regarding bids, you don't have to be present when bidding on items. You can set your maximum bid and ebay will bid on your behalf. Thanks as always for your support.
I think this is my favourite of your paintings.
Many thanks Doug

I like this one. Funny but right at the moment you said that tree area was looking ridiculous I was thinking it was looking really good.
It just shows how all our tastes are different!
Forgot to say I like how you show using less water in this one and the results of that.
Yes the only way to learn is by experimenting - sometimes it works and sometimes not but we take something into the next painting.

I see you're a Villa fan Steven- did you take up painting as a form of therapy?
It's been a depressing few years following Villa but hopefully we're now on the up. Thanks for watching
