I just bought my red 24 today 4/1. It’s still at the dealer because it was raining today. I’ll pick it up later this week. Can’t wait!!!

That’s just the “green reels” you can see..lol.
Those are upgrades that Honda should have made after the first year but.. you know how that goes.
They definitely are worth doing..

@@TheGraytOutdoors one of the best things I ever did for my truck was to swap the factory 1999 mirrors for a set off a 2004 Tacoma. They fit perfect but they are a good 50% bigger.

My latest mod was to put a set of Honda goldwing foot pegs on. Much larger surface for our adult feet to fit on. No modifying or adjusting anything. Even used the stock springs. Good video.

I believe the Monkey is the perfect little machine like it is as well but no matter how perfect, there’s always going to be “something” that a person will change to make it more comfortable and accommodating to its rider.
Strangely enough, I haven’t had any trouble with the foot pegs but I’ve only a 9 1/2 size shoe. Does that put me in the child size shoe 😂?
The brake pedal however, is rather small.
So, Goldwing foot pegs will fit, huh.. that’s cool to know.. thanks for that info..

You covered my first two mods on my 2023 Monkey - mirror extensions on day 1 because I couldn't see anything, then I got the Ohlins adjustable rear suspension (I'm close to 200lb). Transformative. Over the next 6 months I got a Dart piranha flyscreen, the Honda rear rack (reissued after it was discontinued) and a Saddlemen 850 rear rollbag so I can stuff oranges into it when I go to the farmers market. Ohlins front forks will happen eventually, but not in a hurry. Agree that it doesn't need more speed! Things feel shady whenever I've broken 60mph.

The cool thing about the Monkey is how easy it is to make it “yours”… Sounds like you’ve done just that. I like what you’ve done. Wish I could’ve afforded the ohlins😂.
I’ve had a few emails that have asked, what was the first thing I’d change on the Monkey now that I’ve had one for quite some time.
I tell everyone, first ride the bike, see what you think, then get on TH-cam, see what others are saying. Then see if what you’re seeing matches up.
I still believe that the mirrors should’ve been changed by Honda at this point, shocks..maybe. Regardless, the Monkey in my opinion, should get bike of the year since 2019😂.
It was a great idea and design. Couldn’t be happier with mine.
