Watching Robert Shapiro, vs. Chris Darden, is a masterclass. Darden treats his own witness with disrespect, she's obviously an airhead and he makes sure you know it.
Then watch Shapiro. at one point he's standing right next to her; he's been so polite to her, he leans over and says "I don't have my glasses, could you read that number for me?" and she reads it for him.
The jury watches all of this. He finally gets her to offer up, on her own, that of course OJ wouldn't park on the main street she probably wouldn't herself because it's got more traffic.
Just MASTERFUL, the Jury can't really tell who she's a witness for because of the way both sides chose to treat her.
Brilliant point. The defence were masterful in their approach to the prosecutions own witnesses.x

This might be the most "blonde" blonde woman I've ever seen. DAMN. In defense of her though, Darden is a horrendous examination questioner, even worse than Clark was, if that's even possible. I can see why she was getting frustrated. Like pulling teeth getting this clown to ask a question in this testimony that has already been rehearsed. No wonder this team lost a very easily winnable case.
I get you don’t want to have to testify miss….but this is a master class in exasperation…. Eeek! I would hate to run in to her in traffic.. 😮

at first I thought I was bothered by Ms Boe's testimony and demeanor, but the more I listened I realized it was Darden's line of questioning and tone that was grating. By the end of her testimony, I found her rather charming, almost like a late 50s early 60's TV character

Sorry, but I never thought Carl Colby was racist. He did not mean because he looked black. He meant a lurking man staring at a house. He clearly was very pleased with the friendship between his young son and Justin Simpson.
She wasn't acting dumb, she was trying to answer the questions clearly and honestly . Keep in mind she is trying to recollect something that happened years prior along with being on the witness stand can be an incredibly stressful and nerve-wracking experience for some, regardless of how crucial or seemingly unimportant their testimony is to the case, but especially in this high profile case, knowing cameras are on you and you are being watched/judged by millions. I think people commenting on how "stupid" or "dumb" she sounds should be a little more empathetic.
Also, her reply to the question at 16:50 was spot on.

I mean - I think we can all agree that if we see someone/anyone walking slowly, standing, loitering, etc. outside at 10 or 11 at night - we would be on alert and possibly call the police too. Skin pigment and gender and even age is irrelevant. Seeing a child or elderly would be cause for calling the cops, just as it would be with a person in their prime (male/female). That's just alarming to see outside of your home at that time of night, esp in a quiet neighborhood. No additional "description" of the person is needed to grab your attention at that hour. Ahole!!
What a bias judge I never picked up on this when it was happening ito is so biased towards the defense. What a joke I wish this trial would’ve gone on today they would’ve thrown him in prison and thrown away the key. Nicole was abused for years before she divorced him and then he continue to stalk her just like he did his first wife, rot in hell 0J Also, when they called OJ to let him know about Nicole’s death, he never once asked about his children about where they were about their well-being because he knew where they were and they could’ve woken up to that horrific seen if that Neighbor had not found them first. Just horrific.
Ito ruled in favor of the prosecutor on 70% of the time. He was a former prosecutor with a cop wife bias in favor of the prosecutor. If the case happened today, with all we know about PCR and RPLF and the massive scandals that came out about it and the false positives that came back in the testing samples. OJ would never have been indicted, the same way the Santa Monica jury refused to indict him.
Nicole beat her maids, nanny, and random women up for years and OJ, which is why they always called him a battered husband. She showed up and stalked him in Cabo when he was on vacation, she wrote the letters begging him back, she was the one who called him constantly and phone records support it. She was the one who asked him to watch over her at night b/c she was fearful she'd be murdered by the neo nazis who threatened her with death. She was the one who moved from Gretna Green to Bundy so she could be CLOSER to OJ and she was the one who tried to evict Kato and Arnelle so she could move back in and OJ said no.
It was not on OJ to ask anything, he was a ex-husband in the shock from the bad news and was returning to LA in a few hours. That being said Fuhrman had told him they where at the station with police.
Nicole was killed by her drug dealer buddies b/c Ron Goldman was snitching.
Your absolutely correct. But I think what doesn't help is Marcia Clarke being so cold and mean in her demeanor towards everyone didn't help that fact.

The loud sigh this witness let's out at around the 3:30 mark is hilarious! You can tell she is so annoyed by the constant interruption from the defense as well as the multiple times she has to answer the same question for the prosecution... I dunno what Darden is trying to accomplish when he does that... its incredibly frustrating to listen to

It's also used as a food preservative. That's why it shouldn't have been an issue that it was found in the blood.

What does redirect mean and what does cross examination mean?
Direct examination is when the prosecution or the defense, questions their own witnesses that they called to the stand. Cross examination is when they question witnesses on the other side, each other’s witnesses. Redirect is after cross examination, when it goes back to direct examination. This woman, for example, is a prosecution witness. Shapiro is defense. So, this is cross examination. When it goes back to Darden, it will be redirect, for direct examination again. Witnesses always give testimony first to whatever side called them to the stand.
