Thanks for these videos. Have you shown how to change the colors of the buttons and panels?

I have a question. I am developing several self-enrolled courses for my organization and I am wanting to create an area on the homepage or dashboard just for these courses so students can scroll through the listing of the courses, select the course for which they wish to enroll and then enter the course and enroll themselves. I would like to have this listing on either the side menu or in a menu below our required courses. Can you assist me with what I can do to make this happen? Thank you.

Hi, in the settings for the homepage under the 'Site home items when logged in' section you can select 'list of courses'. This displays all courses of your moodle site. If you select 'enrolled courses' users can only see courses that they are enrolled in.

    Very interesting, thanks!
For a student, is there a way to display the courses he is enrolled-in grouped by Categories (in tabs or accordion...) in the dashboard right after loggin?
    Thanks!

Hi Sam, thanks a lot for your comment.
The basic course overview block unfortunately does not allow students to filter courses by categories. However, there are a few plugins (blocks) out there that include this feature. You could maybe try this one if you like: moodle.org/plugins/block_filtered_course_list?nonjscomment=1&comment_itemid=1539&comment_context=50&comment_component=local_plugins&comment_area=plugin_general&comment_page=3
Otherwise I would suggest that students star the courses that they are currently working on so that they can at least filter by their starred courses. That used to help my students a lot.

@@teacherstudent7330 Thank you for your response.
This plugin displays all the categories, even if a student is not enrolled in a course within a particular category and i can't find a way to hide them.
For example, if i have 3 categories (English, Math and Art), a student is enrolled in an English course and a Math course, he should only see the "English" and "Math" categories and "Art" shouldn't be displayed.
Any idea? Maybe there a theme you know that can do that?
      Thank you for your help!

Hi Sam, unfortunately this is an issue of the plug-in and also a moodle core issue for the "courses block" which shows all categories of your moodle site and not only the categories of courses a student is enrolled in.
If you like you could leave a comment under the plugin page and see if the developers might be able to help. It seems the developers/owners reply to comments quite quickly.
