Hi Russell in my platform I give live lessons I record them with Camtasia and then put the sessions in videos. I also exported the audio from Camtasia and put it below the video, but I want to let only to listen, not download the mp3 files. Is it technically possible?
Fernando, yes, You can delete the video part and save the audio only. Just split the video and audio on timeline and then save video. Choose Custom Production when you save and then just save as MP3. It is not complicated.
Russell Stannard (Teacher Training Videos) Hi again thanks for replying. I can’t quite understand you. I upload the sessions to vimeo without trouble. In Vimeo I restrict the access only from my sites so you need to access the sites to reproduce the videos. I choose in vimeo the hide option in vimeo.com. Then in Camtasia I use the option Share audio only and then I convert online to mp3. The problem is I can’t find any audio sharing solution similar to Vimeo with that kind of protection. I tried with html commands once published the audio in a page in moodle, just below the video, but my students got the mp3 easily downloaded without using any special tool. I find it a bit weird, not having any widespread tool to manage that situation. So far I can’t find any solution. If you may give me any advice I’d really appreciate it. Thank you again. Fernando
Hi Russell, I learned about Edmodo from you,and I thank you for that by the way.Unfortunately,Edmodo is closing down.I have been told that Moodle is very similar to Edmodo? Can one do live teaching as well, (We used skype)plus the Edmodo platform. and organise separate classes.I really am in dire strates, and would appreciate any advice you could give me.Thank you so much !
Yola, Moodle is pretty tough. It is really for large scale classes. I would recommend Zengengo. It is paid, but it is CHEAP and perfect for lanaguage classes th-cam.com/video/sPBM_85vEoA/w-d-xo.html
Glad you think so! I put loads of videos on my website about Moodle and they are very popular. You might find them useful. www.teachertrainingvideos.com/moodle
Hi Russel, I do not see "grid" in my moodle. I did have to get a plugin for "collapsed topics" so my question is, "is the grid a plugin?" I like the tabs in the book, this would help make things visually appealing as well as organized.
The grid option is normally added by the administrator of your Moodle site. I am not sure if it is a plugin or if it is something that needs to be activated by the admin. I have added more free Moodle videos here www.teachertrainingvideos.com/moodle
Hi Russell Great video. My Query : How did you get that Top navigation bar, sidebar(on left), and the overall look of your site. Can you please share the link to the the theme/plugin you have used to make it so interactive. Thanks and Keep posting. These are really informative.
I use the grid format and a very standard template. I also delete all the side bar boxes, so the look is very clean. I have added more Moodle videos here www.teachertrainingvideos.com/moodle
My pleasure! I have some new stuff coming out very soon. It might be worth signing up to the newsletter on my website www.teachertrainingvideos.com/sign-up.
I'm appreciating your videos but a lot of these steps should have been built in the Moodle themes we are using. My advice is to get or buy a well designed theme. Thanks anyway.
Hey if I upload a file on moodle from the downloads folder of my laptop and then delete the original file in downloads...will it get deleted on moodle?

@@fernandotutor67It's impossible. If someone can listen to the audio, they can download it and record it too.
Hi Russel, what it the Moodle theme you had in your demo?
Hi, really sorry but I can't remember and these days I don't have access to Moodle as we now use Brightspace. Sorry I can't be more help.
Great stuff! I like the idea of having a teacher present on the top of every unit.
I am glad that you like my ideas.
Have been watching your video and I am finding them very useful. Keep it up.
Glad the videos are useful. More free Moodle videos here www.teachertrainingvideos.com/moodle

Can you please link tutorials to the grid format on Moodle?
I will keep that in mind in future videos

I want to learn more things about creating assignments and quizzes on Moodle
I have a great Playlist with loads of good Moodle videos. th-cam.com/play/PLqYj2sOxDkVwE3TQSy8hcsHaLVXf4b6xu.html
It was really helpful. I would like to see if we can make a full mock test with a variety of questions from multiple sections in Moodle
Great suggestion! More videos about Moodle in this Playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLqYj2sOxDkVy_QNU8veqFpNLYM5pAL-xS.html
Hi Russell! Thank you so much for the video 👍

Many thanks once again!

Henry, I am glad I could help.
I am using Moodle in my research intervention and want to ask how groups can be created
I am really sorry, I don't use that feature but I am sure many people on TH-cam have made videos about it.
Excellent

Very true but many people working in universities don't have that option

Ankit, not it shouldn't because when you upload to Moodle, it stores a copy.
You are my new friend! LOL
