Don't pound those ends without using a block of wood or use a rubber mallet......using a hammer on the shaft ends will damage the ends, and the spindle won't go thru when you go to put it back together....if youre lucky youll be able to file the hole interiors back open to normal
Did you remove the key in the shaft and collar before you lowered/pushed down the pulley or did you do the pulley first THEN the key? Thanks
