I had terrible acne in the 1960's. My mom took me to our old country doctor. He had me massage a little bit of cod liver oil on my face, then apply fresh cream (we had our own cows). Twice a day. He said he didn't know why it worked, it just did. Now we know cod liver oil is rich in omega 3's and Vitamin A & cream is rich in lactic acid amongst other nutrients. Amazing results, and to this day, I share his info.
Mary, I also recycle worn out black and gray socks to put my jars in to protect the salves or tinctures from light. You can cut the foot portion off or leave it.

I was thinking the same, but see a challenge. You dont want the oil to be directly in contact with the pot, so if you use a rack, that would solve that. But then will the oil itself get to 110 degrees?

When it comes to garlic, other than just keeping it in my little garlic jar on the counter, and using it up pretty quickly, I am not comfortable preserving it in any way that would keep it at room temperature. You may laugh at me and I know maybe others will comment here about it, but I do worry about the development of botulism in garlic. so when it comes to storing it, I like to either just have it fresh on my counter. Use it up quickly. And Keep it as you do in the refrigerator or freezer preserved in some sort of oil. Love, Mary.

I’m thinking an Instant Pot Yogurt setting (which is around 110 F might also work)?
