    For those of you coming here from Taboo's channel, the answer is in the video. Pause it and move forward and back frame by frame with , and . keys. You will see that the camera is taking pictures once a minute and that the automatic exposure is causing each picture to be a bit brighter or darker than the one before. Sometimes it's a slight change, sometimes it's a large change. That means sometimes there's a bright flash and sometimes a dark flash when it's played back at 600x or whatever. The flashes do NOT happen at the exact same time each day - they happen randomly 24 hours a day, so when you look at a given time of day there are flashes but there are flashes all the time.
    The video does not have anything fake about it that I can see. Do your own thinking, even if it's different than TBCII's thinking.

A couple of technical questions if I may (as a videographer interested in doing some recordings like this in possibly extreme conditions): 1. What gear did you use - camera / lens? 2. I'm not a flat earther, but this footage is obviously fake - you don't even need forensic analysis to see that. The sun cannot have the exact same sunrays on two consecutive days. Even if we take into account the sun's position in the sky from day to day, there are many other factors that influence the appearance of the sun and its rays. These include atmospheric conditions (such as clouds, haze, dust, humidity) that change from day to day and even from hour to hour. In addition, solar activity is constantly changing, which impacts the appearance of the sun. Therefore, it's practically impossible for the sun and its rays to look 100% identical on two consecutive days. I wonder why they faked the footage?

      The North Pole is at sea level because it's sea ice with 4000 metres of water below it.
      Most of the interior of Antarctica including the South Pole is 2000-3000 metres above sea level due to the thickness of the ice resting on land. 3000 metres difference of elevation is enough to lower the average temperature by 20°C. In addition to that, the low temperature throughout the summer keeps the ice much more reflective than the often wet sea ice with melt ponds covering the central Arctic during summer.

    "THE NEW YORKER" latest edition of Nov. 28, 2022, is called "THE CLIMATE ISSUE" which has an Antarctic expedition article by David W. Brown, which you'd probably find interesting, especially because the people who were stationed there permanently did NOT believe in "GLOBAL-WARMING", and that througout his short voyage, at the beginning of the Antarctic Summer, the crew were complaining only of too much cold, too much ice; too mamy icebergs, and the fear of getting crushed by them any moment!!! all they managed was to drop some research torpedoes into the ocean, in anticipation of picking up data from them in the future, to help them have some understanding of the ocean-water-flow there, of which they still do NOT have the faintest clue, yet the MSM have been fabricating lies about Melting Antarctic ice-shelves for decades!!!

    • @richardross1166
      @richardross1166  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, you were right. That was an interesting article. Although for reading comprehension, I'd give you about 2 out of 10; it does not say what you're claiming and you misunderstood the data collection process. But overall, thanks for bringing it to my attention. It had some implications for the work being done on my trip from this video.

    • @richardross1166
      @richardross1166  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @kareemsalessi6171 I've met (and worked with) many groups that are studying the movement of glaciers around the grounding lines (where they lose contact with the land and start to float). Often they're looking at water flow in these areas as well. Often they're studying the salinity of the water, but the article you mentioned was looking at temperature, which was interesting.
      Despite the mountains of research already done on glaciers, there's still a great deal more to learn; they're difficult to study, as alluded to in the New Yorker article, as conditions can be challenging. But even studying glaciers in somewhere like New Zealand can be hard, as you can't easily get into the ice to see what's happening inside or underneath it!
      As we learn more about what's happening in the grounding zones of Antarctic glaciers, we'll have a better understanding of what could happen in the near future, then the policy makers can make better decisions about how to mitigate any potential negative effects.

    • @kareemsalessi
      @kareemsalessi ปีที่แล้ว

      @@richardross1166 So, I take it you worked on ocean-water salinity?? BTW::: I bet you've heard the recent news of two million year-old DNA DISCOVERIES, belonging to tropical prehistoric giants, in Northern Greenland, and the finding that Greenland had enoyed a tropical climate then, probably meaning that Earth poles have drastically changed during the past 2 million years, and that they continue to gradually shift, as a natural phenomenon. My point is that in one million years, today's equatorial regions (USA, Mexico,Europe, most of Asia, and Africa) may well be mostly frozen polar regions, while today's polar regions may be, once again, habitable tropicals!!! If that happens, I bet these king Penguins & seals will still be around, even though humans may have long vanished!!!

      @kareemsalessi6171 I haven't read up on the Greenland discoveries, but I'll have a look when I get home.

    Nice footage, but well, it gets kind of dark after 20h. Not what I'd call midnight sun. There is NO sun fro 1:22 and it clearly gets dark. We get white luminous sky with pink hues (even brighter than in your video) in the middle of the night in Montreal every winter. so your video is kind of underwhelming. Yes it gets bright at night in winter, just as it is right now in Canada and we also have actual midnight sun in the northwest territories. Your video doesn't prove midnight sun

    • @richardross1166

      It gets cloudy. When it's cloudy, the clouds make it not as bright. This video wasn't to "prove" a midnight sun, midnight sun is simply a fact. Why don't you go there and have a look, maybe then you'll have an option worth listening to!
