Hussey, i have been a subscriber for a while now but keep finding old, but new to me videos. This is a new one for me. Being a Wisconsinite and my wifes side of the family being dairy farmers, the only milk coming in our house is Red cap! Red cap and lots of cheese is the rule in our house.
Hi Hungry Hussey! I just made this meal for my girlfriend as a hangover cure and she loved it. Only difference is I put sausages in the gravy. Love your content, cooking, and humor. Wishing the best to you and your family.
@@thehungryhussey Thanks again good sir. If only it could warm up in New England and be done with the snow storms. Then I can get back out to the griddle and cook up my own storm 🤣😎
Ooh Hussey!!!! I made this today and I tweaked it a little by adding some leftover smoked brisket to the gravy with the dried beef. Soooo good! Definitely gonna be in my meal prep rotation.
Lord have mercy my wife is a blue capper bless her heart....I was raised on a dairy farm in Marshalltown Iowa and nothing but a red cap for this ole boy.....Growing up it was straight from the cow to some old glass bottles my folks had and into the fridge....THAT is about as red cap as ya can get!
Only red cap at our house! Miss seeing the egg shells go off the porch lol, another great cook! I’ve been watching your videos for a very long time you’ve literally taught me how to use my black stone. Love your channel great people and good groceries!
My Mom used to make that gravy back in the early 70's. I'm going to have to try that soon. I made some great sausage gravy over the holidays with some Neese's hot sausage. Like the potatoes with onion and pepper too. You speaking my language Hussey with that skillet!
I get my own from the dairy farm I worked at as a kid. Right out of the holding tank with the cream mixer going. Best milk ever. Cream for everything else I skim off the top before mixing. That was a great looking breakfast. Oh and the hit the thumbs down twice, priceless. 👍🏻
Hello Matt Hussey from Charlotte! Recently joined your channel and am appreciating you vids. Was inspired to try my own version of the Ole Hussey Skillet, but switched out the hash for country sausage. Everything turned out super using my 2 burner camp chef stove. It’s a keeper that I’ll name Dave’s 485 Skillet (since we live not far from the 485 circling the city). Great video, you make it look easy! Thanks
Hi Dave! Thanks for the support! I post member posts periodically through the week and have a giveaway going right now too. I want to be sure you know about that if you want to participate. Your version sounds great too and possibly another variation for a video!
Whole milk to make gravy but for cholesterol we use that what they call skin milk water but it still gives someone the flavor but you don’t get the richness in the taste works for us! Will have to try the chip beef in it, my grandma used to make sausage patties or even bacon I do box sausage fry up to make sausage gravy it works Yum 😋
I just finished my breakfast of bacon, eggs, tortillas, salsa and hot sauce (Texas here), and this makes me hungry all over again! This skillet looks delicious!
Funny, I was already planning on a Skillet Breakfast today and low and behold, you gave me a Heart this morning on my other comment. Mine was very close to yours. No hash, but leftover potato, bacon and sausage. My wife likes her egg on top like yours. I scramble my eggs and mix all together and put in skillet like you use. By the way, I originally bought 22" BS so I could take it camping. A couple of months ago I bought a 36" BS. Love the extra area for cooking on. Ron
Hussey, you vids are exactly what I need. I made a weekend breakfast skillet myself and sat down to some YT and what did I have? Thanks for another great vid.
Hussey, you are making me hungry! I enjoy your cooking videos. It’s a little too cold (35 degrees here in Williamsburg Va) to get me outside. I’m just watching and learning, 👍
Blue Cap. Me and my son are the only milk drinkers though, and he doesn't buy the good groceries :) Hussey, I'm almost 50 and never tried corned beef hash. You have inspired me to finally try it.
Mann, Husssey! That looked bomb! It is really the ultimate griddle meal. Well done, sir. I am a pink cap (skim) man through and through. Grew up with the blue cap, but made the switch when I moved out of the house. Now I feel like if it isn't skim, then it doesn't get cold enough. Love my milk COLD! I do usually keep some red cap around for cooking. If I drink it in a pinch, it seems like about a 10W30 going down the hatch. 🤣
Looks awesome I make a skillet breakfast but just a thought I like to keep my skillets on the one side so they stay warm when I put the food into them just a thought for you keep doing what you do
we were beyond a red cap growing up,with our own milk cow,we had a picture of milk in the fridge with a thick layer of fat on top you had to hold back when pouring a glass, now that was whole milk!
Wow, this looks amazing!! And I love canned corned beef hash too (Hormel is my fave). Also, strictly RED CAP household over here!! Loving your channel and all of your videos!
Grew up on blue and thats what's in the fridge right now. But I use alot of heavy whipping cream for my cooks. I make these often. I call them the breakfast platter. 👍
We used light blue universally when I was younger, now my dad and I drink dark blue and my mom and sisters drink lactose free because they like the sweetness
For my Wheaties, Blue Cap (I think that is 2 %). For gravies and cheese sauces, Red Cap (whole milk) or Heavy Cream. Liking your breakfast meals. Have always had challenges getting Shredded Hash Browns right. So I did what every good cook does when they can't get it right. Give up. Now, I bake potatoes, cool, refrigerate like you did and dice up. Then fry in a pan with peppers, onions and garlic. Up here in the Northland, we call them Potatoes O'Brien. Throw in some cooked Sausage, add cheese and a couple of eggs cooked any way you like them. Skillet Heaven. Easy to make a large batch for another day's breakfast. But the eggs are cooked to order for each cook. A cup of good Joe, Glass of V8 or depending on the day an ice cold RC.
Anybody else wish they could make this meal appear at their table RIGHT NOW!!?? Good stuff
Boy, it was good my friend!

Love the red cap every bit of the food you make looks so delicious makes me hungry
Blue cap exclusively here. Thanks for all the great recipes!!!
I love that you cook like a regular person with regular good food. Red, but blue because I am the only one in the house that will drink the red.
Thanks Chris.
Hi Hungry Hussey! I just made this meal for my girlfriend as a hangover cure and she loved it. Only difference is I put sausages in the gravy. Love your content, cooking, and humor. Wishing the best to you and your family.
Glad you and your GF enjoyed it Chase. Appreciate the support and kind words.
@@thehungryhussey Thanks again good sir. If only it could warm up in New England and be done with the snow storms. Then I can get back out to the griddle and cook up my own storm 🤣😎
I feel you there. It’s too cold up there for me brother!
Ooh Hussey!!!! I made this today and I tweaked it a little by adding some leftover smoked brisket to the gravy with the dried beef. Soooo good! Definitely gonna be in my meal prep rotation.
That brisket add sounds fire!
Love your video. I just recently bought a Blackstone and can't wait to get cookin. Thanks for all your inspiration!
Thanks Marty! You're going to do great things!
Only red cap at our house! Miss seeing the egg shells go off the porch lol, another great cook! I’ve been watching your videos for a very long time you’ve literally taught me how to use my black stone. Love your channel great people and good groceries!

Wow!!! That looks amazing. I like canned corned beef hash. Definitely have to try this.
I liked the canned better than fresh probably.
I love this video and the music in the background adds a nice touch
Thanks Jason.
You forgot the buttered toast to sop up some of the extra gravy & runny egg yolk!

I get my own from the dairy farm I worked at as a kid. Right out of the holding tank with the cream mixer going. Best milk ever. Cream for everything else I skim off the top before mixing. That was a great looking breakfast. Oh and the hit the thumbs down twice, priceless. 👍🏻
Anything less than 2% is not milk, it's water. Lol! This looks amazing and I think we'll be eating this tomorrow for dinner
Thank you. The wife really enjoyed it too.

I missed when you chucked the eggs into the yard, but still a yummy looking dish, keep it up Hussey!!! Great work!
Haha. With a screened porch, it’s difficult. I will on the one down stairs. 😂
I just finished my breakfast of bacon, eggs, tortillas, salsa and hot sauce (Texas here), and this makes me hungry all over again!

We have Weigel’s skim delight in Powell, Tennessee . It is fantastic! The whole family likes it.
Interesting. Sounds delish.
Damn Hussey!!! Good Groceries Check!!!
Another great cook Hussey!!!
...Hussey, Breakfast is the best. All them other meals are good too...
The Route 66 skillet is my favorite. Rad cap here for cooking and the kids. I prefer 2%. It has a green cap from Publix.
It was a good breakfast.
You’re local it appears! Maybe one day I’ll see you out. I shop at the Teeter there at Carolina Diner.
LOve the red cap, but tend to go green cap which is 1%. Grew up on skim
Like your porch/cooking area setup there Mr. Hussey.
I love hash!
De-lish !! Great cook H2! Pink cap cause”I gotta go healthy”Good eatin goin on!!
Thanks buddy.
2 of us, blue and red. I make my gravy with cream!

Thank you! I like canned corned beef too. I’ve had homemade, but prefer canned. Haha
Yaay finally got a live show. I've always been busy doing something and couldn't catch them lol.
Wow! This looks great!
That looks good 😋. Just think if you had some of your homemade biscuits and jam would make it even better 😋😋
I don’t know if I could have handled all that. That skillet is heavy.
Before, we were a blue house. Now we’re a red house. Will never go back! Love your stuff man! Keep it up!
Grew up on blue and thats what's in the fridge right now. But I use alot of heavy whipping cream for my cooks. I make these often. I call them the breakfast platter. 👍
We do too. Heavy whipping cream is also low carb.
Red cap.. But we like butter milk also!! Lol!! Butter milk also great for cooking as you probably already know.. Great Vid Buddy!!
We have the red top but I also get the yellow top from time to time. For those of you thats not familiar with the yellow top it's buttermilk..
We used light blue universally when I was younger, now my dad and I drink dark blue and my mom and sisters drink lactose free because they like the sweetness
That's some good eating right there.
yes sir!
Looks absolutely delicious! And I bet it tastes just as good! Ron
Always blue in our refrigerator. Oh, and green too (buttermilk)!
Blue cap here in NC!!
