Corned Beef Hash and Eggs on the New Weber Griddle - Leftover Corned Beef Recipe!
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 16 ต.ค. 2024
- This corned beef hash and eggs might be my new favorite griddle breakfast recipe to make! We used leftover corned beef, potatoes, onions, and a few carrots that had been cooked in a Dutch oven in the oven the night before.
Just rouch chop everything and mix it all together in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper, and cook the corned beef hash on the griddle at a low temp so that it can reheat all the way through and the potatoes get nice and crispy like hash browns.
Cook up some over easy eggs to serve on top of your corned beef hash, and you've got one fantastic breakfast on the griddle, and a great way to use leftover corned beef!
To make the corned beef brisket, we cooked the corned beef, chopped onion and baby carrots with about water that came up half way up the beef in the oven at 275 degrees F for about 3-4 hours uncovered. Then we added two whole baking potatoes to the pot, put a lid on it, and turned the oven temp down to 225 degrees F. Cook for 2 more hours, then remove the pot from the oven and allow it to cool. Refrigerate corned beef, potatoes, carrots, and onions overnight in all the juices.

Yes, please do the knife info video(s)!!!! Also this video was amazing. I love corned beef hash! Instead of cubing and chopping it, I would have thought of running it through the grinder with a course plate, but that is just my thinking. Most days, I just use the canned corned beef hash for breakfast with some eggs. I line the rack of our air fryer oven with a piece of foil, lightly oil the foil with avocado oil, and spread the hash in a thin layer for 8 minutes on 400 degrees. Then stir/flip and go another 8 minutes (the crust forms on top with this method). Works great and cleanup is just tossing the foil out! Hard to beat when making hash for one from the canned products. But your scratch made product is the way to go for special occasions for sure!
great use of the air fryer...i might just break down and get some canned...
This sounds great. I love the stuff and usually fry it up in cast iron but I now have an air fryer that I am loving.
A series of knife videos would be great. I did not think I liked corned beef hash, but several years ago we went to an out of town wedding and the next morning went to breakfast with several other couples. One of the guys ordered it and was insistent that we all had to try it and reluctantly I did and now I'm hooked.
I absolutely know the feeling...all I had remembered was the canned style...I knew how much i liked corned beef and new if made from scratch it had to be that much better
You and Amy are such a joy to watch!! I love that you go with your gut on something to make and then to see your reaction when it turns out so good is so real and fun to watch!!! Thanks for letting us watch and experience this with you!! Keep up the good work!! P.S. my Dad was a cook in the Navy in the early 1950’s and it’s fun to hear your references to your time served….makes me think of him 😊. Thank you for your service!!🇺🇸
Thanks so much Lori...really appreciate that
I love making Corned Beef Hash as well. As a Texan, I add diced red bell pepper and jalapeno to mine and it seems pretty popular with friends and family.
down with those options for sure...
Yes please on the knife videos! That corn beef hash looked amazing! 🤯
Thanks Gina....noted
Yes please do a knife video. FYI, I'm prior Navy myself, an AW. Recently bought the 36" Blackstone & love it. Keep the great videos coming!
Hey Lee thanks for your service...good you ya and noted...

Great job Neal! Outstanding results 👏 especially in the elements today🥶. Absolutely would love a video of choosing the right knife and care. Cheers brother 🍻
thanks and noted...🍻
One of your best "every person" vids yet! Well done! Weathers improving, but inconsistent. I'm doing more on the fly left over grilling than planned grilling so this rocked!
Much appreciated! Weather is definitely nuts right now...cold rainy and sunny and cold...cloudy and hot
Add another to my list of cooks. Appreciate you guys! Imma yes on the knife tutorial as well.
thanks so much...noted
Corn beef hash loaded potato skins sounds like a winner to me
Yes sir...
I always loved that can corn beef hash. Thanks so much for the tutor on how to make that real! Mom used to make that corned beef with Sourkrout! Love the corned beef but hated the other. Make me up a corned beef and eat on that and use the leftovers for a hash! Its on my to do list!
Heck Yeah...thanks Jeff...
WOW, that looks AMAZING, Nice job.
Thank you very much!
Oh man that looks good! Great cook Neil. I can't wait to try this.
Hope you enjoy
Just got a full set of Berghoff knifes for Christmas . Love them.
Sweet......
I love this approach to corned beef hash! Another great video. +1 for knife info video too.
Absolutely...noted
I don't think I've ever had corned beef. Looks like I would love it.
Oh man....if done right its nothing like canned and can be addicting for sure
I used straight brisket and it was so good.
Did you brine it...or just hash it...
Hello Neil and Amy 👋 I just want to say that I have at least 75 or more of your recipes and it makes it easy for me to choose what I want to cook for certain pool parties that I have and I have a lot because I’m the only family member that has one 😂 thank you 🤙
Wonderful! I know the feeling.....hahahahha
MAN! I'm coming to your house for breakfast! I LOVE scratch made corned beef hash...definitely hit a home run with this one! You said you were wondering how you could make it better...maybe put the hash in a waffle iron, get it super crispy, and use the waffles as the basis for a breakfast "sandwich". Or maybe you could "corn" your own beef brisket...my mouth's watering now! Can't wait to see your next cook...Cheers!
great tips rigth there....thanks
best simple hash i seen so far. she sounded like she liked it, lol ordered a shirt.
Hey thats awesome.....really appreciate that...thanks
Knife 101 would be great! I have my preference but love to know yours! A sharp knife is a must! And different knives for different jobs! But always keep sharp!

Thanks Robert....noted
Looks delicious my friend.
Thanks Zeb...
Ive been waiting for someone to do a video on all different types of knives! Please do guys!
will do....thanks...
Very very proper hash! And a bowl of butter saturated Colcannon as a side (with either kale or cabbage), and maybe a Guinness... Perfection
Great idea!....
That look amazing!! I absolutely love homemade corned beef hash even plain hash, especially when using sweet potatoes. Definitely would be interested in a video of you talking about knives. I've ordered a lot of things using your recommendations. I have never been disappointed with any of them.
Well I appreciate that...noted...
I agree ✊🏼🧐
Looks awesome
Thanks Bill

Hi! New subscriber, loved this video. I cooked two corned beef briskets tonight so I could have one for hash tomorrow. My parents moved in with us son we have four adults. Thanks for the video!
WOW...thanks for the support...big family there...many mouths to feed....great for a recipe this
@@TheFlatTopKing when our kids and grandkids come over and my hubs mom we have 13 of us. So yeah I’m used to cooking for an army! Big eaters too! My hubby and my son are both 6’5” and they want to make sure whatever it is there is enough of it. Haha!
Awesome video! Well done!
Thank you! Cheers!
Another delicious looking meal....👍👍
Thank you
I think that I think that Amy loved it!!😂 I’ve never cooked corned beef but have made homemade brisket pastrami and it was phenomenal! We don’t get corned beef in the stores around here so I’m going to have to make it from scratch. Awesome as always!!
ooohhh man....definitely take your time..do it right and absolutely NAIL it...its can be so good,....plus you get the advantage of the flat and the point...
Looks delicious!
Thanks
Looks amazing!!! My mouth is watering!
So good.....we both really enjoyed it...
Lots of yummy sounds coming out of that lady. Way to go, big dog. Knives 101 sounds like a good show.

Corned beef heaven
Absolutely
I’m going to have to go buy another corned beef! I’m going to prepare the meat in advance and take it camping next week to make this on our portable Blackstone. Thanks!
hey great idea...the other campsites will be jealous for sure
That hash looks delicious. As for knife sharpening I have my mentor to help me with knife sharpening, my boy, Zeb, helps me with sharpening. However I would like to see your video for that.
Absolutely....will do..
Definitely do the knife video. Always been curious about the brand you use
Thanks Jim...
I'm totally interested in your opinion about certain brand knives etc.
Thanks Sonja...
Looks delicious. Yes on the knives. Can you sharpen serrated knives?
Thanks Noted...we can...its a different system though
This is a good recipe, corn beef is a great dish so upping the game for it is a super idea. Definitely YES on the knive knowledge video, no question. Great idea using the silicone molds, they are definitely handy little accessories. Dang, making my taste buds jump!! Might want to treat that cutting board with mineral oil.
Yeah thats the bad thing with the recycled cutting board...does not accept the oil..I have been on AMY to change it...I will let her know you saw it ...bet I will have one ordered one by the end of the day...ahahhahaha
@@TheFlatTopKing, give me a little time and I can make you an edge grain one from hardwoods here on the farm. Limited in width right now to about 12.5 inches and I normally make them about 15 to 18 inches long, all custom. about 1.5 inches thick or a little less after the planer.
Coming home from FL I spent the night just south of your area and was driving through Saturday. Sooo cold after 3 months of 80's! Anyways, put another checkmark in the yes column on the knife video. Mine are from Walmart, except a couple of Cutco's. I'd like to know where to start, sharpening, price range differences, etc. Might want to mention some sharpening and cutting board suggestions as well. Thanks!
all that is spot on....thanks for the help
love your videos. I would be interested in a knife video. I think a little green bell pepper in the has would be good, too.
Absolutely and noted ...ty
I know you've been putting your new Weber flattop through it's paces. If I remember correctly, I think you got the 28" version. Size and aesthetics aside, would you recommend weber over the blackstone, camp chef, or pit boss; or is it still too soon to make a recommendation? If I were to buy only one, seems like the temperature control on the weber might be better than the others. Thanks for another great video!
yeah maybe a hair to soon....just got another one and will do a huge competition with them...
Fresh grated potatoes are the best!
Neal would know more about your knife collection , the cb hash looks great
Thanks Jim...noted...
Yes, knife 101 , 👍 on your channel
thanks Gary...noted
You guys are killin' me Neal! That looked so good awesome job buddy! Be than the 1 gallon cans of corned beef hash in the Navy huh, 😆
hahahah by the gallon....
Not trying to get to personal, but I love your crust.😂😂😂
ahaaahahahah I hear ya
This is the perfect camping breakfast that will carry you through the day. Let you know in 4 weeks from So Cal.
hahahah absolutely....have a blast
Once again, you blew this outta the park. I may have to buy a corn beef now. Also yes, please do the knife video.
ahhaah Thanks Sonny...noted...
I've done prime rib hash with some leftovers that will get that happy mouth dance going.

TY bud,,,,
Definitely interested in a knife video. Thanks!!!!! HAIL STATE!!!!

Just bought the Weber Griddle! How are you liking it so far?
Well...more and less...ahhahah the top definitely preforms great...its just so light and little compared to the competition...just got another brand and put it together and its a 3 burner and Wow what a difference...
That make me want to see if they have any corned beef left at the store, I could brine a brisket but and I don't want to wait.
hahahah absolutely...I know the feeling all to well
Yes. I need knife maintenance help! I have nice knives. They need your help ❤. Now I need to get some corned beef and make some hash
hahhaah coming...
Please do the knife video. I really need it. And the hash looks amazong
Absolutely....thanks and noted
My gawwwwwwwwwwwwwd..... looks soooooooooo guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuud.... mmmmmmmmmm
And another fine video!
hahah thanks so much....we loved it..
3 AM drunk stopper, that would hit the spot🤣🤣🤣🤣
haahhahahaa
Brah, that hash looks frickin $$$$ 🫡! I agree I’ve never been a fan of the canned hash, but yes it would have to definitely be crispy. Ya gotta run that loaded potato skin hash idea, that sounds like an absolute banger. Lol, Once that yolk was popped, I heard the Angels singing 👼🏻 “AAAAAAHHHH” 👼🏻. 🔥🔥🔥 cook, cheers y’all 👊🏼😎🤙🏼
hahhaahhaha I hear ya....thanks bud
Looks great , your going to have built a place to get out of the weather lol.
Yes on the knifes, please
working on it
Yes, most definitely would love to hear your opinions and thoughts on knives, which are the best, which stay sharper longer, what type material makes for the best knife, affordable good knives, etc!
thanks Janet...
The knife tell all would be great!!!!!
Thanks Andy...noted
Knives…yes please!
Thanks MIke...noted
What is this "left-over corned beef" you speak of? I did griddled Rubens and barely had enough to make 2 sandwiches.
hahah well....if you notice I had to buy another one just for this video..
I have watched several of your videos and I noticed that you cook a lot of food. What do you do with your leftovers?
Well depending on what it is...typically the bread we just throw away and save the vegetables and meat...
some we give away and others we eat...our daughters will have some etc...no waste except useless carbs
@@TheFlatTopKing May God bless you and yours.
Id like a knife video. Also a slicing, dicing tutorial. Maybe how to chop an onion and knife cuts etc?
got ya...noted..
Do you guys do a great job? Yes, a knife video would be awesome.
Thanks MItch...noted
You know I want to see a knives video. How you sharpen, when to sharpen..... I remember the Navy corned beef.
hahahaha dont we all...especially in the Chief's Mess...hahahaha that one Senior Chief everyday...with hard eggs
What is your opinion of hammer stahl cutlery?
I personally dont have experience with them..
Knife video - Yes Please!
thanks Alex...noted
Does it matter what type griddle?
This recipe does not....
We definitely need a knife 101 video.
Noted ty
The Starlings were very vocal during this cook
Absolutely...loud ones for sure
As a side note I have found out if you dump boiling water on any weeds you have by the porch it takes care of the problem. 😂
hahahahahaha
Now I know what to do with our leftover corned beef.
Yes sir...
Another winner, chef!
Canned corned beef tastes like canned dog food smells.😝
ahhahahah Yeah its been 20 years....so it must not been as good as i remember
How big is that dome ?
would love to see a knife 101!
We will start working on it...
How do you know how much to season without going OTT
Really hard to do...after so much the seasoning has nothing to stick to....Plus being such a big piece of meat that is really not an option...salt maybe but not pepper
How do you guys stay thin 😂 you guys are rocking it that looked amaz balls
hahaahha only thing I had that day....
We would enjoy a knife episode or 2 or 3😂
thanks noted...
Knife video would be nice. My set was purchased through the College of Southern Nevada’s Culinary Arts Program. German stainless steel.
WOW...was that a long time ago or more recent..
@@TheFlatTopKing about 20 years ago. I was running a vocational training program for the homeless. They took two courses and the State of Nevada got them jobs. The set cost me about $60.00 back then. Bought through the college.
Umm my mind is on supercharge mode again I will keep it to myself 😉
hahahaahah
@The Flat Top King lips are sealed brother
What is corned beef that you are talking about..... I'm from south Texas....
Its a brined beef brisket...very popular overseas in the Irish community..thats what a famous sandwich The Reuben Sandwich is made from. If you take the brined brisket and add some different seasonings on the outside and smoke it you have pastrami
Please do the knife review and care.
Absolutely noted...ty
Would love to see a video about knives.
Absolutely...noted and thank you
