We have the smittybilt XL and when i was on my ram 2500 it felt like sleeping on a skyscraper. However, those ladders are designed to have holes drilled wherever your vehicle needs them to be. Set the ladder so your feet touch the bottom rung and your outstretched arms are touching the rung about chest height. Should be around 70 degrees or so. They bend and get damaged at the angle you had it set at. I added a foam topper to mine and it was a more comfortable sleep than the $50k camper we stayed in before we picked up the tent. Love the vids and maybe we’ll see you around in our 91 single cab pickup!
Super cool setup! I was trying to find a Toyota pickup similar to yours local to me and couldn’t find a good deal on one and one that wasn’t completely rusted out so I ended up buying a 1983 Nissan 720 pickup. Excited to see the iterations of your set up in the future! God bless🫡🇺🇸
Was just up there about a week before you when I took my wife out to wishon, there was zero people! It’s crazy to see McKinley grove so packed, I’m assuming you went around Memorial Day though. Sweet vid, I’m hoping to take my 89 on its first camping trip later this month since me and my grandpa went in it when I was a kid. Also after this I went and layed down in my truck bed to see if I would fit. Good advice.
just found your channel and just had to subscribe when I heard the burp and her look. So real life. hahaha If the tent was up off the bed more your ladder would definitely be better for you. Maybe a set up that will let you raise the tent after getting to camp so you don't lose your lower center of gravity while wheeling. I will be checking out your other videos. I'm a big Toyota fan and my son and I bought a first gen 4Runner and really like it. I overland in my Sequoia.
You turned your crawler into an overlanding rig like me 😆 I have an Alpha 2 rtt fits perfectly on my bobbed bed. Sweet vid just now discovering your channel definitely Sub’d 🤙🏽
Looks awesome. I’ll take my green solid axle Toyota truck there too, thanks for the inspiration man! Great video !
Rooftop tent 2/10. Camping & exploring 10/10 🙌🏼☺️
A 2/10, wow 😂😂 I’d give it an 8
Unplanned camping is always the best
Hell yeah!

TERBAIK VIDEONYA...MANTAP.....DAH SUB
Those gringo tacos look good by the camp fire.
If you remember, what brand and where did you get the bed rails for your tent to set on? I have a 1986 xtra cab that I want to do this same setup to.
They were from some jeep that my neighbor had. They weren't designed/made for the Toyota.
Thank you for your help

Thanks for checking it out and thanks for the sub!
Nice Toyota Pickup. What kind of MPG does it get?
I sold it for a Land Cruiser but it was about 14
I want tacos now
You get reception way up there?
None at all
My hunting area that s12 road. I yank my trailer in there or another spot by it
Oh nice. Yeah there’s a lot of spots for trailers here. It’s not that far from swamp either
There won’t be a open spot on that road come July and August. Yeah and close to dusy
Could have took that road home to and end up at pine flat or shaver or blue canyon
Just a suggestion, you are so new and wanna make video on TH-cam but just cook what you like and your GF not into this
What a truck. Great job 👏 ❤
