Great video as always Steve. Been following you since I made my first trip to Southern Utah in 2019. Your videos really came in handy when we were exploring the area. Keep up the great work. Cheers!

Great video. I've been through New Mexico a few times on my way to Moab. Just haven't seemed to find the time to stop. Would love to someday.

I really like this format, i will watch one of these everyday more likely than a 2 hour one in a monty if that makes sense?

I’m glad to hear it! I hope more folks agree because Unless more do it’s not worth the effort. The first 3 have made a whopping total of about $20

We visited both in April! Bisti was amazing, but we had to cut our aimless exploring short. Sun was coming down, and we actually got caught in a rough sand/wind storm on the way back. We didn’t see the hatchery, and we were walking for about 45 minutes out, and 45 minutes back. Nevertheless, it was one of the most surreal places I have been. It feels like you are literally walking on a different planet, and no video I have seen can truly capture its beauty. I recommend to get there early, and don’t go there on a windy day!

Did you have any trouble finding your way back in the dust storm?

    • @HighFrameRate

@@TheWestisBig We did not have much trouble! We stayed along that straight path, where of course that fence is. It does end, but it's not hard to keep your bearings (even with your head down--trying to prevent sand/dust getting in your eyes). I could see how if you start weaving through narrows it could become disorienting.

Thanks for the info. I tend to weave while wondering.

Hi. Thanks for sharing. Question, can Fly a drone at Bisti? TIA!

I don't think so. It's BLM so I made sure I flew outside its boundaries.

How did you get a permit to get this close to Shiprock? Was it hard or did you go with a Navajo Guide?
