He makes a good point about picking up garbage. This is one of the reasons people living in various vehicles face backlash in so many cities. Those who leave their trash everywhere make it unsanitary and an eyesore so much so that the residents complain and want everyone removed and that messes it up for the ones who are not littering.

Thank you for the behind the scenes footage Nicolette and Brian! I’m going to be trying out my first solo van trip to Teton National Park in Wyoming all the way from Cape May, NJ as a T-10 para so I really appreciate the know how vids! Sooo happy your chair was left untouched!! I’ve done the same thing several times! God is good!! Praying for your safe travels!!! Opal is sooo precious. I have a yorkie poo, same size as Opie, and can be a barker too, which is causing me trouble to service her. I just bought a bark collar called Dr.Trainer, which is vibrate ONLY and it has been working to train her when she’s not allowed to bark and best part is it doesn’t hurt her! Only vibrates! Look it up and try it out and see if it works for you if you’re interested.

They were doing a cleaning of the bean . I use to live in the Chi. Go back to Chicago during the taste of Chicago so many food vendors .different food from around the world . 😊
Yes, I went to The Taste in 2021 and have been to The Bean and Milliennium Park many times. They have lots of nice festivals and events and even ice skating in the winter.

Great video as usual. It occurred to me as Brian was taking the chair off the back of the van - the video shots. It looked like you had a camera person but I’m pretty sure you don’t. I wondered how that set up happens 🧐 and would love to see a behind the scenes so to speak as to how you do those shots. I can see Brian running away and setting up the phone then running back and doing the thing he’s doin then running back to get the phone (then it getting edited) BUT not sure how you’d even capture it since you’d need ANOTHER filmer filming you film. 🤪

It’s Chicago which is flat. First and only time I was in the Midwest it was surreal to be on such flatland (for a San Francisco gal).
Glad I left the Bay Area. Now I’m on the east coast.

Well that was fun! It looks like a lotta work to get the shower in and the laundry! The rest of the day in Chicago looked good. Thanks for the fun adventure. I've never been to Chicago but have seen friends' photos of some of the artwork and it was nice to revisit the things you came across while checking out the city. Those hot dogs must be famous - they looked gigantic! I thought Opal was doing a great job of being a "good girl" while you two were busy disappearing the hot dogs - also seems she's already getting the knack of being a service dog the way she was running back to mom when dad took her over to see the rocks! I love the way you both take such good care of her - the way you offer her water all the time is very sensitive, Brian - you're a good dad! Next Sunday will be your first "Father's Day" - hope you have a fun celebration :) Gotta get to bed here, nighty night, b
They must be doing some renovations on/ around the Bean. I lived in Chicago between 2019 and 2021, and there were no restrictions to access it. Maybe on another trip...

Loves has the best doggie parks too. We travel from Houston to chicago at least once or twice a year.
Lovely video, thank you. Maybe dont feed Opal your food as she will always beg if she knows there's a chance. We only give our dog any leftovers after we've finished and in her own bowl when possible. Shes fitting in so well in your lifestyle and perfect size for a van dog!

Why doesn’t Nicholette use the shower chair?
I’m from Chicago, you need to get a real Chicago dog. It was a great city and everything has changed. I retired and moved to Arkansas going on 8 years. Hope you enjoyed your selfs.

How long do you get to stay in the shower room?
There is no time limit so that’s part of why we like the truck stops! Loves is our favorite though
How did you to meet?
I can't believe that a person in a wheelchair has to pay 5$ for an hour parking. That should be free.
