You two are phenomenal. I have no patience at all with long videos. But I get engrossed watching you two. You're people that anyone would like to hang out with - seriously good company. And you warm the heart. You both have warm hearts - and so you warm your viewers' hearts. This channel is time well-spent for everyone watching. It's good to be in such good company and have one's heart warmed.
😊 awesome day! I just learned this after 54 years but when you’re driving down mountains like that drop the vehicle into a lower gear. It really helps! You have no idea how inspiring you are. I have just finished treatments for a rare mouth cancer. Having had surgery to remove half my tongue and have it rebuilt with part of my arm then having radiation to my mouth and neck. I can’t talk normally or eat very much. But I’m trying to work up the courage to go on an already planned and paid for girl’s trip to the outer banks. Watching you be brave helps me to feel like I can do this. 🤞 I have a couple weeks to decide.
As an employee of the mtn I can assure you, you wouldn't have gotten locked in after closing because we (security) sweep the mtn from top to bottom and every nook and cranny to ensure all guests have left. I love seeing videos of (as I call it) my office! Being security there I have the privilege of having that beautiful mtn to myself at night, and I love it! I have numerous videos and pics of the moon from the top! I'm currently on medical leave due to an automobile accident, and the first chance I got to get out my wife loaded up my wheelchair and we made a trip up there because I miss being up there terribly! One thing I would like to point out though is you called it a state park, that portion of the mtn is actually privately owned and the state park borders it. I'm glad y'all enjoyed your visit and hope you guys come back again! Thank you for the video and all the positivity you have, it's very appreciated 🥰☺️
A scene from Forrest Gump was filmed jogging up that road, I think it’s the very beginning of your video was the specific turn near the top. You probably saw the sign Forrest Gump turn. Love that place ….an hour from my home in North Carolina. Been there many times, it never gets old. Some of the oldest rock known… exposed on that mountain top, you probably saw the display inside, telling about the Geology. There was actually gold found on that mountain, but it’s been kept secret for years By the family that owned it. Awesome video guys, Mildred the bear was what drew everyone in for years when it first opened!!! Glad you guys could make it up there …so awesome! Blowing Rock.. is definitely a place you need to go ….spent our honeymoon there…staying at the Meadowbrook Inn..they have an indoor pool. You can spend a whole day just hanging out at the park watching the cars go by. If you love ice cream, you got to stop at Kilwins On main street!
Happy Easter, Friends! I can only laugh as I am from NC and I’ve been there. Yes! The drive is terrifying. The views in that area are stunning! I recently retired and I’m traveling the country (currently in Wyoming). The views across the country only get better. Enjoy ALL of it. Blessings on your travels. Have fun!!
Watching your glow up and healing process has been so awesome. Soak in this time and enjoy these beautiful experiences. If y'all ever find a small piece of driftwood you should put it up on the shop.
First of all Happy Easter second of all I was dizzy while you guys were driving up there. I’m def scared of heights short story I’m retired military and I had to climb down a wall and was fine going up but my Sgt promised me a steak dinner if I would just come down the d-- wall. Well needless to say after a while I did, and No I didn’t get that steak dinner. But kiddos for facing your fears. Love you both. Continue to be blessed
This might just be my favorite video of yours so far -- it was nice to just hang out with you and listen to you chat about your day! Loved the low-key vibe!
Great video. Thanks. I will have to go to this mountain someday. It looks wonderful. It reminds me a lot of the White Face Mountain in Lake Placid NY. That one is also accessible with an elevator, without which I never would have made it to the top. The views were spectacular. You two should check it out next time you are up north, that would make a great video.
You sound just like my Partner the first time we visited he was terrified but little did he know I had more “crazy” roads for him. Grandfather is beautiful
You guys are near me! I live in Wilkes Co. Down the the mtn about 40 mins . We've been to Grandfather mtn several times over the years and the little zoo there is great. We Loved the otters. Don't miss the Fudge shop!
I’m terrified of heights and feel anxiety just watching you on the bridge….😮😱 It always amazes me that they never have guard rails on those roads where you could literally fall right over the side.
Do you want a real driving thrill??? Come out west to Colorado Springs and drive up Pikes Peak, all the way to over 14,000 feet. It's a great road, and discounts for disabilities and views yet topped by anywhere. Be healthy, stay safe and many blessings, Morgan from Pike's Peak, Colorado
Looks like you guys had a wonderful experience! I am much too chicken to ever attempt to go up there😅 it probably wouldn’t be a good idea anyways lol I have a cardiac condition & if I get scared my heart rate goes up super high & I pass out and/or have a seizure. You know those biscuit tubes that pop? Yeah my family warns me before opening them😂😂😂😂😂
If you make it to Colorado, you will have to go up Pike's Peak. The summit is at 14k feet. Then once you are up there, you need to realize that people race down that mountain, once a year.
Happy Easter Guy's!🐣🐰
Thankyou so much for this long video, you both put so much time and effort into them. The views were epic, so beautiful. Cheers

Happy Easter to you as well! That’s a funny story 😂 and facing fears is the best way for them to no longer be fears!
You guys would like Royal gorge bridge in Colorado but this is beautiful

Happy Easter. Love the elevator, wish more places had them. Bless you both.❤
Forest Gump movie was filmed on one those curves. Mount airy is close by where Andy Griffith grew up. It’s like the true Mayberry.
Tight turns like that or called switchbacks
You sound just like my Partner the first time we visited he was terrified but little did he know I had more “crazy” roads for him.
Grandfather is beautiful
You guys look so healthy and happy! Have a wonderful day 🌼
Cuddle around hahaha that sounds great though. :) Love your vids, keep up the amazing work x
Happy Easter! Conquering fear is strengthening your soul. God Bless. I didnt see the image of the grandfather?
It was there but hard to spot! We should have pointed it out 😅

The fudge shop is gone, but fudge is still made, but made by 2 specific restaurant staff.
I am so glad you guys had fun! JP and I loved it when we did it!! ❤❤

Grew up there, never been to the top 😅
Brian has an interesting accent that I can't pin down.
Love you guys!! 💕💕💗 Great video! Have a great, safe time!
Men aren't too afraid of anything but let them see a spider ! 😅
Crazy thing is I’m in a wheelchair after the brakes failing and going out on truck and going down a hill similar to these in Oklahoma
Looks like you guys had a wonderful experience!
