I just want to say thank you. The moment you appeared to my youtube recommendation it changed everything. I never knew that you can be Christian at the same time not letting others contaminating you. I hope you notice me, you really change my perspective of being a Christian.
Going through right now. Just realizing that I am horribly codependent. Listened twice and will continue, until I get this and the scriptures in my spirit 😢
Amen ,sister ,what i learn about codependentacy is rooted in putting confidence (identy in the flesh ) that leads to destruction and interdependence is when you put all your confidence in the lord Jesus Christ that leads to life ,peace with God and others by saving faith ,knowing your identy in Christ and confident in our relationship with Him
Thank you so much for this video, for this message. The way you so compassionately but clearly call out these traits of codependency in Christians is so well done. This video has helped me realize a lot of codependent tendencies that I may have and also helped me realize that I repeatedly put others before God in my life. I felt convicted and this was a huge step in growing closer to my creator and realizing my identity in him. I want to now change and let my relationships thrive in a healthy and godly way. To anyone who reads this, please pray for me as I take the steps to overcome codependency. Thank you :)
"Boundaries mean your love your preferences and being okay with it" God! I needed that... Thank you Kris.... I was pleasing my wife for 18 years in marriage and this relationship has completely drained me. I heard this statement atleast 15 times to get the message sink in my spirit.
Sister Kris, thank you for edifying the body of Christ in spirit and truth on these matters. Some of the hardest obstacles to overcome on our journey of spiritual maturity and absolute delight and joy in the Lord comes by way of relationships with family members who remain unrepentant and deluded to the truth of the gospel yet want to keep up a false appearance that our families are good. I cannot and will not walk in delusion and bondage to keep up appearances in idolatry because Jesus has set me free. May we all continue to pray for family and friends who remain in sinful pride to humble themselves and to repent of their idolatry and place their faith and allegiance in Jesus, amen❤️
You are spot on! You described my situation with my spouse and family. Keeping up with appearances, trying to “earn graces” to get human respect - it is so prevalent now. Jesus has set me free from that and learning to be okay with upsetting others for not “going along” becomes easier to accept as you practice it. Of course, we are not trying to be mean about it, but some people will not be happy with us for going the way of the Lord. May God be praised! And yes, we do need to pray for our family and friends who are trapped in that idolatry. Thank you and God bless you!
I restarted building my Ministry and Level Ground Kingdom ministries of Facebook we are now back and regardless of what happened I don’t need Tammy I have Holy Spirit in me doing this work in me reaching others! It’s my gift so other can know there God and maker!
Yeah it this set expectation that others have to treat you a certain way we all are codependent upon each other’s we all like to control each other somewhere
Must thank you soo much Ms Reece, your words and teachings are soo helpful, edifying and informative for me, wish I can just let these webisodes constantly play and stick in my head like a broken record in a great way ☺ Thank GOD for you and all that HE is doing in helping me and others 🙏🏼🙌🏽
I am A pastor and ambassador of Gods Kingdom here on Earth I am worth more to God than any other human or any narcissistic needs that other have to destroy my life or valid me true or not true all are distracting things
This is so helpful. It’s actually a current struggle I’m in right now and this helped me realize what I need to do . Please be praying for me. Thank you Kris.
Thank you for this message even though I am finding it one year late, it speaks to a struggle I am trying to overcome now. I'm not sure if you'll be able to read this, but I'd like to know your thoughts on the biblical steps to take once you recognize you are being co-dependent on a person you walk in faith with, like an accountability partner? It's important to have community but at the same time I struggle with healing from codependency (which I feel is a type of idolatry) because of frequent and necessary interactions. Or to rephrase, how do we prevent Christians relationships (friends, family, romantic partners) from becoming idols in our lives? Thank you 😊
You said, “He (God) can’t heal and comfort someone in denial.” The Great Physician can do whatever He wants. It’s wrong to say the God of the universe CAN’T do something. With God all things are possible.
Well, Jesus used to ask people if they WANTED to be healed. Willingness/Faith was REQUIRED. You have to be WITH God for all things to be possible in your life. He knocks but the handle to the door is on the INSIDE of our hearts. God always respects the free will HE gave us. If we don't open the door, He doesn't come in. Denial of our need and want of Him keeps the door closed.
You are so wrong. Jesus is not telling us to love ourselves. We already love ourselves. He is telling us to love others as much as we love ourselves. I’m surprised someone as smart and educated, as you cannot see that distinction.
No you’re wrong. You speak for yourself. Don’t say “we already love ourselves” maybe you do. But a lot of us were forced to reject ourselves and our identity to serve someone else’s feelings. She is coming from a place of knowledge on the subject and she’s sharing her wisdom and knowledge with us to help us with codependency behavior. If it’s not for you then move on. She’s going deeper into it and we need that. Your thinking surface.
@amazinggrace4924 from a very little girl on, until I was 65 yrs old, I lived in abuse, stalking, hugely people pleasing cuz I had believed what my Dad from his tough childhood had told me when I was very young, "Now, don't be thinking they like you, they are just putting up with you cuz you are family." I always heard those words, believing I was not even likable but only put up with cuz I was nice to people." Didn't believe I was lovable cuz I believed way down deep from lit gal on that I was not even likable. Biblical obedient faith and deliverance ministries from lies has been a deep life time process one realization at a time by our Jesus, King of lovingkindnesses!!!

For those suffering from co-dependency, boundaries feel like sin. Truth 💯

We were taught that loving ourselves was a Sin
Agreed that many take 'self love' too far. but If we are told to love our neighbors as ourselves, there has to be a healthy level of loving ourselves.
Is it too late?
❤🙏🏼
