Therefore, a well known host like Joe, that will bring on specific, lesser known guests to help increase their guests ratings is different from the norm and positive thing. When I first saw/heard Lex on his original jre episode, I thought: “I don’t think I’m going to like this guy. His voice is monotone, his suit seems a little stuffy etc. I don’t have a good feeling about this episode, but I guess I’ll give him a shot and see what he has to say.” Fast forward 2 years later and now he’s one of my favorite guests. He’s a great interviewer on his podcast as well.
It is strange yet telling to me that the "ship" they are speaking of, the technology involved, that no one is saying hey guess what any really advanced civilization would have some sort of AI-ULTRON type security system which if anywhere even near our electronics would usurp it & you would have zero way of telling.... Oh wow, I full-on wept at that. Grandma/grandson relationship is so unique and special. My grandmother passed 15 years ago, when I was too young (and lacked the guidance) to grieve, so it comes out here and there. This was one of those times. The overall message was perfect for the moment. I love you all - may we move forwards together.

When I first saw/heard Lex on his original jre episode, I thought: “I don’t think I’m going to like this guy. His voice is monotone, his suit seems a little stuffy etc. I don’t have a good feeling about this episode, but I guess I’ll give him a shot and see what he has to say.” Fast forward 2 years later and now he’s one of my favorite guests. I get Joe's idea of ignoring them since most of the time people who comment only have a slither of idea of what you actually do in life and own goals where some negative comments may put you in a toxic confrontive state where consensus never occurs
Lex meanwhile tackles reading the comments as a way to gather constructive feedback which comes from his technical side and to see the actual bigger picture than just ignoring some of it
Agreed, and you can sort out the constructive versus the nonconstructive ones. I think Joe is trying to reassure himself because his comments lately haven't been so positive. I agree. I think Joe is right on this one. I love you lex your a great guy. And I would be your friend or sure. Those comments can be toxic. But also.....your positive view on having positive comments as a dream is something you should do. Maybe that's what we all need. Goodluck either way
