im hooked sailing is and should be enjoyed and low stress. while I'm doing a refit on my newest project and have sold my original sailboat, i just have a empty slip. these videos, along with others on youtube, at least give a sense of being on the sea. thanks again from SF bay area.
Great to see a new video. Very relaxed and laid back as always. And, yes, I always like to test my outboard on full throttle before actually untying the tender from the boat ;)
When you're talking about the human waste experiment Dave O seems so proud. He's grinning like a possum the whole time. I think he takes a certain amount of joy in putting Dave R in challenging 'predicaments'. :D Too funny!!!
Lee Shores, Lazy Jacks and Lunches We’ve had some really enjoyable days in the Solent, but suffered from far too many boat/engine problems. Maybe it’s time to buy a better boat!!
Nice one guys, good to have you back. Did you ever get any food? Not sure I’m impressed by the catering onboard Cool Runnings...😆. The Portchester Yacht club is very nice and there is a slipway there with better ground for going ashore. Delivered a Rival 32 there not that long ago. Thanks for the mention, I think. Strange things has been happening, I’m having my roof felt and tiles redone and emailing back and forth with the boss roofer and he is constantly referring to me as Alan! I mean, what is going on has Mr Oliver spreading his influence far and wide? Happy days . Andy UK
Ha Ha, btw we did have food it was a toasted cheese sandwich, I mean a sandwich for goodness sake. Wait till we are out on Induna and I will show him what good food is.
Really enjoyed seeing you back out again! Coincidentally I did a very similar trip to Hardway sailing club just last weekend, lovely place, thanks very much for the video!
All well thanks ST. We just did Dartmouth and surrounding areas. Lovely to be off again. I hope you really enjoy Plymouth. Will you get any further West. Fowey maybe?
Lee Shores, Lazy Jacks and Lunches All dependant on the wind but I’m hoping we can visit Fowey, back to Plymouth and then on to Salcombe and back to Plymouth again! Should be doable in a week!
Lee Shores, Lazy Jacks and Lunches Lee Shores, We was up the Beaulieu river on the 24th of June on my Honwave, so not on any berths. Came via the Hamble and IOW. Thought on the of chance I would bump into you both. Glad to see you back 😀
Another great video. The interaction between you both is highly entertaining. However I think the animosity is fake as you would never last that long on a boat without a deliberate MOB. One small correction I think you identified the Round Tower and associated ramparts as Southsea Castle which is actually further east by a mile or so at 50 43 70 N 01 05 32 W and it is situated exactly where the deep water channel comes directly towards the shore so the Castle would be able to rake French vessels from stem to stern and they would not be able to return fire.
Lee Shores, Lazy Jacks and Lunches It is. My Father was the Museum Curator and for many years his office was in the Castle. One of the little-known facts about Portsmouth is that it has the finest collection of Fortifications in the World right from Roman times with Portchester Castle through to Henry the 8th, and Southsea Castle on to the Victorians and Palmerston’s ring of fortresses along the top of Portsdown hill, where the Royal Armories Museum at Fort Nelson is definitely worth a visit. The Sea Forts are also part of that ring of defences around the City. Then of course some of them were used right up to the last war. There is an anti-aircraft gun my dad found in a scrapyard in Dublin outside Southsea Castle to represent its uses as an anti-aircraft battery in WWII. Great to see you both out and about again much enjoy your videos.
@@LeeShoresLazyJacksandLunches Oh No Hillary you know what this means! The next few trips he will research every square foot every Romandnd Victorian Brick and he will yack yack yack for hours on end. It will be miserable sailing. Love to have a potted history from your own experience Hillary??
I took Cool Runnings out today 44 knots of wind made for a rather choppy lunch spot. BUT whilst we were enjoying the swim by of the seal my tender YES I KNOW ITS MY TENDER AGAIN. Luterall flipped upside down with the outboard submerged !! We decided to head back home and it flipped again and because of the need for careful helming in the strong wind and with proximity to other boats it was left submerged for 10 minutes. Wee invited it sat my grandson in as ballast and got back to our mooring. AND YES this outboard fully submerged for a total of 12+ minutes not only started but ran as good as gold.
Well Spotted Mr. Rowles. It is not new but a much better camera. Normally to lazy and just grab the cheap gopro lookalike. Maybe we should use this one more often.
If you need some free crew... i am looking to learn and get into sailing, used yo do a lot a sailing from the reme yacht club at haslar in my early twenties... now in my late 40s kids grown up and want to get back i to sailing and get qualified. 👍
I shall be there Andy, anchored near Chalkdock... In the rain by the looks of it. Thanks for that. How much would it cost me to get you to stay at home :)
Puts me in mind of the great comedy duo ... No not Laurel and Hardy more Hinge and Bracket. There is a perfectly good hard and ramp no need for the marine commando assault manoeuvre. Doubt you enjoyed the lunch it's grim there tbh! Best to use the pub the tea shop is naff !
@@LeeShoresLazyJacksandLunches disturbing for you maybe, however I find it reassuring ! 😀😀😀 Great series of vlogs btw I have now binge watched them all !
Thanks Skippy, we are looking forward to getting back out in the next week or two. May have to be in two boats rafted up but will be good to be active again. Stay safe.
Yep, a toasted cheese sandwich Ben. That’s what he brought with him, a cheese sandwich. A sandwich for goodness sake. He should be ashamed. Would never happen on Induna.

Well done, followed your link you both tell a great tale. Loved it thanks.

Hmmm. Frustrating when it gets like that. Had my fair share over the years. Must catch up at anchor together some day and have a beer.

Thanks Gavin. Dave is on to the shop details and should respond soon. 👍
Hi Gavin .. foam was from cutting edge fabrics in Basingstoke. they cut blocks to your pattern and glue the blocks together
