Trinity. Journey, Arrival, Destination... All equally important. The fact that these two gentlemen can maintain such a razor sharp whit and spirit in this, geriatric stage of life, (wink, wink) can only be credited to a lifetime spent on the sail. So many hours, days, weeks spent inhaling the fresh and frequently turbulent ocean air, pumping oxygen into their brains and muscles, coupled with the physical, mental and spiritual extremes endured on the sail, have preserved in these Master Yachtsmen all three faculties; Mind, Body, Spirit. Trinity. Stay razor sharp my friends! Sail on!
Casting off.... always casting off, slipping the berth, hauling the anchor, dopping a mooring and hauling in the sheet, feeling the sails start to draw and the boat firm up....
For me the arrival is a part of the journey. The journey stops once the lines are tied. However if the place I arrived in is new to me, then seamlessly after the arrival the discovery phase starts which I also like a lot!
Arrival always. Another great video, i promised myself that next winter i will keep the boat ready to sail as i seem to be missing out on some great winter days!
No idea why I have only just found your channel - great video. I've been past Camber Dock a few times, but never even thought of stopping off. Journey, destination or arrival? Well, I have noticed that even if I have been to a place before by car (or train etc) - even the destination itself seems so much nicer when you arrive by boat.
I sailed from Watchet in the Bristol Channel round to Faversham in Kent earlier in the year. I am very tempted to keep going and complete a lap of the UK. But I learned to sail in the Solent way back, so I am very tempted to spend some time and visit the pubs and restaurants you are highlighting.
Why not join us for a day out? Let us know when you are in the area. Delay in my response because I was watching your Rudder video. I guess it will be a few weeks until you are afloat again.
Took note of your earlier comment R! 😊. Winter days and day sails don’t give us much time to linger but we do lots of more distant and longer stay staff also, so maybe we will put some of this up as we do it. Both of us do extensive solo sailing also, maybe that would be worthwhile? Regards, Dave

Very kind offer. Most of my spare time at the moment is spend doing jobs to the boat. - It will be quite a few weeks before I am back in the water.
You are funny guys.😂
Arrival! Fun video.....much better now there is less music. Why not stay a bit longer at these places and take in the full atmosphere?

What about the departure?
Blimey, never even thought of that! The departure is up there for me. Great question.
the waves were actually 5 feet
That’s impressive, how did you work that out?
