I'll be doing a big long cinematic style review on this thing in the coming weeks, this was just my first ride and impressions more than anything else.
I purchased one, and it should be coming in next week! I considered many other brands and models, but the tubeless tires really sold me on this one for the price. Especially with the ease of changing out flats with the split rim. I've owned 2 original cruisers and changing tires were a b****. I use it mostly for my commute, so top speed and torque weren't really a priority for me. Looking forward to receiving mine! You made the choice easy for me!
Hey Red, I have a cruiser V2 and now I have a small hole in the rear tire. What do I do?? It's only flat on the bottom.😂 When I get a flat on my work van I ream it out and shove a plug in it ,,, I'm gonna try it. Any input on this stuff??? It's Friday night!!!! 6:50 Hawaii time...
Can't wait for your distance test! Watched all your videos on the previous version of the emove, had one for 3 years and only failed due to user error from a crash it broke the motor cable 😢 so will probably get this one :) thanks for the quick review
Hi there! You mentioned an issue with the throttle so I thought I’d comment. When I bought my Cruiser S last year, it came with a new thumb throttle, which looks the same as the one on the V2. When I first got the scooter, I had the same throttle issues as you, with even worse problems. Sometimes, when starting the scooter, the throttle would activate the regen brakes. Voro told me they were having some issues with the new thumb throttles and suggested I turn off the regen brakes in the P settings. After that, my problems were solved… except I’ve now completely worn down my brake pads. Voro sent me an older style trigger throttle to fix my issues but I fell in love with the thumb throttle. Oh well.
Hmm, I don't have regen breaking turned on, but based on my experience with the Wolf King GT Pro, it could very well be the throttle that's the culprit. I still have a few that are wired up and laying around my house I might try and pop on there to see if it helps. I want to try and get a hold of Yogi Steve and ESG and ask if they have the same issue, it might just be mine 🫠
30% bigger battery though. Also much smaller motor so you're going to be using less watt hours per mile. Ergonomically speaking it is a lot more comfortable to ride to, the huge deck and wide bars, you can just chill on the thing. Buutttt for $400 more you could get the VSETT 10+ R from AliExpress with no warranty 🫣 I'm so happy I'm not shopping for a scooter these days, there are WAY too many options.
Hello there at the 8:45 mark you mentioned that the handlebars go to 46" from the deck. Did you happen to measure that yourself cause the Emove website certainly doesn't have that as the height. As someone who is almost 6'5" that sounds awesome. I might actually one day consider this over an ebike. thanks.
@@GingerOnWheelsWow! I hope the clamp that keep it tight at that height. Would you say this is one of your most reliable or not scooters without all the upgrades you’ve done? I’m not to handy. Thanks for all your responses. At 51 I’m not that aggressive a rider. Comfortable/safe to ride, reliability, range, and decent power are most important to me. Thanks again.
Can those new wheels/tires be swapped over to the older Cruiser? It would be nice to have self-sealing tires on my 2021 model. I suspect, however, that Voromotors won’t have made that an option ‘cause it might eat into the Cruiser V2 sales. If you have the chance, please experiment with that. Cheers!
@@sdpicturecard6858 That's an interesting question. Now I'm kind of curious too. I'll look into it a little bit and maybe mention it on my next live stream. Probably tomorrow or Tuesday.
I have put over 6,000 miles on my 2020 cruiser, Honestly I still like it, can get it up to 32 mph as well, most of the time sits around 28. The range is insane, Dont think I need to upgrade yet haha, maybe once I hit 9,999 miles
Does yours make any weird clicking noises when moving the handlebars left and right and any resistance at the center position? Just got mine and having those problems. Seems to be something with that spring loaded pin that locks into place when the bars are collapsed. Voro Motors support was not much help.
For me, either something like the NAMI Burn e2 max, Kaabo GTR, or the InMotion RS. I just like comfort, range, and speed. My daily driver right now is the InMotion RS or the InMotion V14 depending on what kind of mood I'm in
Just a thought about the speed and it very well may do 33 miraculous mph with your 227lbs. My guess is that you eventually founds some downhill. I mean, ride long enough in your neck of the woods and you'll find yourself not on flat ground sooner or later. I still own a Cruiser S so was very excited about the V2. To my mind the Cruiser has been redefined and really falls into a completely different category at 79.8lbs ESG tested weight. Perhaps Voro will update that weight spec when they update your 125mm shock travel spec. It's heavier than some high performance dual motor scooters like the Mantis King GT and nipping on the heels of the Nami Klima Max, Roadrunner RS5 Max, and even the 87lb Gotrax G3X 11" tire scooter. I'm not actually sure what this scooter is anymore (with regard to its roll) since you could certainly ride any of those aforementioned sport scooters in single motor mode if you wanted to and all of those have more sophisticated suspension set-ups. Anyhow, it looks great and I'll be eager to see what the dual motor option offers. I'll miss the niche that the Cruiser S fills if anything ever happens to mine. Perhaps they need to 'redefine' the Touring model and morph it into something that the Cruiser used to be with it's own redesign.
The Cruiser is just a scooter for a full-grown adult that doesn't need many bells and whistles and just wants a decent ride with lots of range. That's exactly what this scooter provides. Good luck finding a scooter under $1,500 That has a 30Ah LG M50LT battery with a good BMS in it. Most scooters in this price range are buying very powerful components with the least quality batteries possible. The scooter's sort of like a flip-flop Oreo. It's got decent outward facing components with an insanely great battery. The quality of the battery isn't possible to show in one video, so it doesn't hit you the same way as a lot of the sensationalist TH-cam videos do. The suspension's not great, the brakes aren't excellent, the handling is mid, the headlight is pretty middle of the road; but the battery is actually phenomenal, it will go until you can't.
If I am being honest, I don't think it's worth the hype. I was super excited to see what improvements would be made from the previous Cruiser, but as far as I can tell, the LED display was the only noticeable upgrade. The range is a tad shorter and the top speed seems to be about the same. I have heard that you will be able to add a second motor to make it dual motors which I like a lot! The acceleration gain should improve dramatically, but if you are using the same battery and controller, top speed may be affected and range will almost certainly be affected. With all that taken into account, I don't think the price is extremely competitive with other dual motor scooters that offer similar performance specs. Love the new display though!!
I don't think this is a prototype. I got my tracking number a few days after Voro got their first big container of them in LA. It got shipped to me and had zero miles on it when it arrived. The box was a new, the scooter was unridden, and it came with all the tools and accessories. I'm 99% sure this is a production level scooter.
It completely depends on your writing terrain, style and average stopping speed. It's pretty easy to look down from the top of the caliper and visually see how much pad you have left on there. Just don't let it wear down to the bare metal, or replace when it starts squeaking and you'll be happy camper. Since these are mostly cable actuated brakes it's also a good idea to replace them if the brake lever is almost touching the handlebar after you've done a bit of adjustment with the lever and the line.
Hey man what scooter would you buy. I’m looking for a fast accelerating scooter for road use mostly price isn’t too much of an issue. Do you think the RS is worth it ? What do recommend reliably wise?
Great video! 😊 Would you recommend this or a Kaabo for around the same price? I'm looking for something around $1500 that has good suspension. I go back and forth to work and out for fun rides. Mostly in a city, nothing crazy
Does it have to be between this and a kaabo? You might want to give a look at the kukirin G2 master. If you don't need a lot of range that's a nice sporty little scooter and it's cheap.
Never mind, I just looked at the video you commented on. If you're watching this then you're probably looking for range. You're not going to find more range per dollar than this thing. Maybe check out the Bronco extreme 10 mini from Alien rides too. No idea why it's so cheap there right now. bit.ly/AlienRides
So the most important thing is that it's comfortable and has good suspension. It's bumpy riding in the city. I like 10 inch or bigger tires. It does not have to be either of those brands. I'm looking for something around $1500 that has decent range, great suspension, and speed isn't super important. The only reason I said Kaabo is because I've heard they have good suspension. I want something I can take out for fun rides, and that will be reliable for commuting!
Hey ginger, this or vsett 10+? Both same price but biggest difference is definitely battery life, one is 30ah and vsett 20.8ah but speed difference is bit as well, 33 mph to 45mph+. What do you think?
If you're the kind of Looney tune who thinks going 45 mph on an electric scooter is fun then you should get the vsett. Emove is a scooter for people who want a well-built, practical, long-range, commuter and don't really care to fly around the streets one small move away from the ER. If you're looking for a low maintenance gadget that will help you save gas money, and conjur up a little fun on your commute to work, then grab the e move. They are two very different scooters for very different people.
@@GingerOnWheels looks like the bigger vx4 is 23,200 mah still smaller than the cruisers though . I’ve heard from a few people that the acceleration is faster on vx4 though .
@@asilaydying1984 with batteries it's all about Watt hours. The biggest battery VX4 has a 48 volt 23 amp hour battery. 48x23.2 is 1113 watt hours for the VX4. The Cruiser V2 is 52volt 30amp hour, or 1560 watt hours. That's a 29% bigger battery for the emove Cruiser. As far as the acceleration, It's hard to say, that could be close. The cruiser does weigh like 10 lb more, but it also runs at a higher voltage with a larger motor. The VX4 is $300 cheaper though so I guess it's not really an apples to apples comparison. They're both probably pretty good scooters, it just depends on which one you like more 🫡
@@GingerOnWheels yes the vx4 either big battery is actually almost the same price 1449 , somehow their peak on that 500 watt motor they say is like 1600 watts . I haven’t ridden it but supposedly it’s got great torque for a single motor . In my opinion price is too high
@@ElectricScooterGuy oh I see.....yeah this scooter is turning into a completely different machine altogether. Personally I think a 50 something pound scooter that can do 45 miles is more enticing.
I'm good. Scooters that look all boxy like that with screws every 2 in just genuinely scare me. It's got the frame of an FLJ, the suspension of a non-robot, and the tinsel strength of a bicycle, if you're lucky. 😬 These scooters pop up all the time, they drive all the money into cheap cells in humongous battery packs, strapped to giant motors, and cheap out on everything else. The brand will be gone in a year and you won't be able to find a parts, if it lasts that long before the battery dies completely.
I think I'll pass on that one. I grew out of my phase where I ONLY want to go fast. That seems like a cool scooter if all you want to do is shred, until it breaks and then you'll have zero customer support. I've created sort of an unwritten rule that the more square the scooter is the less likely I am to ride it. They are all just FLJ frankenscooters, not designed to last.
That would be fun. But I feel like the scooter fits the niche for people who don't want a lot of power and just want the range without having to settle for a tiny scooter, or something with solid tires. Dual motors on this thing would probably increase the price to a point where other scooters would probably become better options. Of course there will still be people who would buy it, it would probably sell out, but in my mind it doesn't make the most sense. For what it's worth though I definitely think dual motors on this thing would go 40 miles per hour. The free spin is over 40. The challenge I think that would be finding room in the deck for a second controller. Or finding the money to spend on R&D for a 2-in-1 controller.
@@mafiafpv3469 The y10 is heavier, has a 30% smaller battery, and has dual 1200 w nominal motors.
Only if you want a heavy scooter
Going to wait for the dual motor.
I saw some other guy (smaller) get 28mph.
Hoepfully the dual motor is 40ish mph
Cable managment is really bad

Just buy the yum y10 it’s way better faster and cheaper
@@mafiafpv3469 The y10 is heavier, has a 30% smaller battery, and has dual 1200 w nominal motors. You'd go through a full charge and have been charging for the next 5 hours before the cruiser ran out of battery. The scooter wasn't designed around performance, it was designed to be a practical commuter for full grown adults.
YO
