    Can you do a video on how to chisel out specs, debris, and small creases. I didn’t even know you could do this till another video showed it. Would have saved me a ton of redos. Would love to see how you handle specs up close

    Why would you not preshrink the tint, even if you're bottom loading. Not worried about trash/dirt from suck back?

    I’m just so curious, does all that water have any affect on the electrical work on the inside of the car panel ?

      Most wire harness have rubber inserts where the male and female connector meets. If that was the case then your car would have issues when it rains.

    I just did a 2018 accord and man that rear windshield kicked my ass. Had to hand cut so it wasn’t perfect and i kept having airpockets form up on the sides on top. Any suggestions?

      Hey boss, I use to have the same problem... not sure how everyone else does it but I been pulling up the film about 3” or so from top and bottom after I shrank it and did the last trim and re-shrinking them making sure the edges are laid down flat. I know this is a late response

    Why do you have remove that panel in the inside of the doors for these particular cars?

    • @ManuelCamarena0725
      @ManuelCamarena0725 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Makes this install much easier. I tried with them on and couldn’t remove any of the fingers coming up from the bottom. The front widows are horribly difficult. I had to redo mine on my first try tinting my 18 accord

    Is it much faster to shrink after film install then before?

    • @ManuelCamarena0725
      @ManuelCamarena0725 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rear window I really recommend you shrink beforehand. That thing will never fit without pre shrinking. I did it my first time. I used a bar of soap on a wet rag and rubbed it on the outside rear window and pre shrunk using the H method. Make sure you don’t over heat the edges. And definitely avoid creasing it.

    Why my windows look blurry still have water in the window I thought I gotten all the water out, maybe to much soap you add to the spray bottle, what's the problem

    • @trentfranks4507
      @trentfranks4507 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Randy Harris hey man I’m a tinter. I’ve done plenty of these Honda’s too. Window film can look hazy for a few weeks truthfully. A lot of film companies tell you to allow a few weeks for the film to properly cure. Water will dry. If it looks bubbly in the inside but not the outside it’s water and it will dry. If the bubble is visible on the inside and out it is air often air. Air bubbles will not dry (bad bubbles). Most of the time you will squeegee most of the water out but not all. The more installs you do the better your squeegeeing technique will get. If the film looks hazy after it drys/cures fully, could be cheap film.

      @Mad-Man84 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the reply I were thinking I were using too much soap speaking of soap how much soap you add to a spray bottle not the pump up sprayer only a spray bottle.

    • @trentfranks4507
      @trentfranks4507 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Randy Harris typically slip solution is all about preference and what you use. Dish soap is not as slippery as baby shampoo to me. I use baby soap mostly, tint slime if I have the money to afford it. If you’re tinting in the cold you need less soap and if it hot typically more. I’d say start with maybe like 2 table spoons at first then see if you need more or less. A good soap shouldn’t leave residue behind that causes imperfections. I used a poly 2 sprayer. About I personally use a 1-2oz per refill depending on the time of year.

    Do you really need to take off The door gaskets ?
    I love You videos they are really helpful

    • @ayonsaha7963
      @ayonsaha7963 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's not a necessity but removing the gasket makes it easier since you won't have to pull back on the weather stripping on the bottom and feed it through. When you don't move the gasket, you're going to have to pull back the weather strip and feed the film under through, and most of the time, that creases the film if not done properly. Plus, after installation, you're going to have to squeegy the water out from the bottom, and the gasket makes the process harder. If the gasket is removed, you can easily use heat gun and squeege out the water and let gravity do its thing.

      And the rear window. Tons of light cap.. It not just the dot matrix at the bottom.. You can clearly see the squeegee poking form underneath the film.. And in the quarter window when cutting you can see light gaps.
      Some of your technique is good and you are fast. But without removing more of the interior.. This will never be perfect.
      I'm a pro tinter from Iceland. Been doing this for over 16 years.
      I have fixed tons of cars tinted in the states (we import a lot of cars from the states) ..because most of them have these same issues.
      I'm sure you can do this much better.. But this is semi amateur hour to me. Sorry man.
      Side note though.. I salute you on the way you get the rear tin to the rear window.. That was somewhat impressive. :)
