That box is an old American Girl furniture box! I had a doll bed come in a similar box, around the year 2001. I love those type of boxes because they are so sturdy and are perfect for storage. #24 is a perfect first doll. She's so cute! I love her darker blonde hair and brown eyes.

You are right, she is Definitely JLY 24, but the Pleasant Company neck stamps were only used until 2005, and the 2008 body tags were used between 2000 and 2008, so your doll could have been made between 2000 and 2005. If you want to know the exact month and year of manufacturing, some dolls have a tag on the inside of their shoulder seam with a hole punched month and year between 2000 and 2010. I am so happy for the start of your AG doll collection!

Yes this an old American girl box from in the 90s when Pleasant Company owned American girl dolls and had a separate line of dolls that they called the American girls collection :)

The doll box is pre Mattel aka like 1980 until 2000
I got a Samantha doll that was used and she had the SAME clothing on... same limbs.... that's weird lol congrats though!

And she's not from 2008 she's from 05 I believe I got mine in 06 . And pleasant was the ORIGINAL owner of American girl . She's the reason AG EXSIST BUT THEN MATTEL BOUGHT IT OUT . But yeah that's somewhat the hidtory
