Another awesome video as always! As for future videos, I have a few suggestions; Battle of Kadesh (1274 B.C.E.) and Tausret vs Irsu (non-historical) for Pharaoh, Battle of the Sabis (57 B.C.E.) and Ardiaei vs. Pergamon (non-historical) for Rome II, and Sack of Aquileia (452 C.E.) and Vandals vs. Picts (non-historical) for Attila. As usual, keep up the good work churning out amazing videos such as these👍!
Even if Sparta had won the battle, it would have only delayed the inevitable. Sparta was trying to do too much with too little. Her hoplites were whittled away and it was only a matter of time before someone, somewhere, finished off her supremacy.
Well she spent a majority of her time putting down helot revolts. Destroying her famed unit the spartiate. The brutality of the Spartans against the helots is legendary.
Hello, my friend, is it allowed to put a part of your video in my video, because I am making a historical video about Attila's biography, can I put a part of it in my video?؟
It's a little misleading to refer to the whole of Cleombrutos's army as 'Spartans' given there were only about 1000 actual spartiate hoplites in his host, the rest being comprised of hoplites from city states allied to Sparta.
They were representing Sparta so if he explained everything it will be one hour video and besides Sparta's downfall is that they were training elite warriors but numbers against elite will always prevail in that time
@@tantareanuion1683 not really, would take like 10 seconds to properly explain the makeup of the 'Spartan' army. And I do understand that the major reason for Sparta's decline was the dwindling numbers of Spartiates, from around 10,000 at the time of Plataea in 479 BC to just 1,000 by the time of Leuctra.

The Maniots still exist and have an extremely warlike history. Thebes on the other hand was wiped out by Alexander, and it’s biggest claim to fame is winning one battle and having it credited to a fictional gay brotherhood
8:42 "Their soldiers began to fleeing in large numbers."
Leonidas: "No retreat, no surrender, that is spartan law."
They didn’t flee. They simply attacked in a different direction! 😉

Being a spartan beaten by a gay army must be embarrassing 😢
Dude Sparta was also the gay army!
Mate, it's ancient Greece, everyone was gay
Tamil warrior movie with
The front of strong left wing of Thebes consisted of Sacred Band of Thebes, gay soldiers.
These gay soldiers were tougher than Spartans!
Sparta was also an gay army.
Sparta was a one trick pony.
