This is truly stunning, i don't think i blinked for 8 (8:20 to be exact) and only paused to write this comment. I stopped at Shogun 2 because i didn't think CA put in enough effort but this engine and mod is amazing. love the velites moving between the lines of the Hastati and the Hastati moving through the Princeps, the transition is smooth.
As a celt, watching that cavalry charge coming at you from Emilius must have been a complete nightmare. Especially because they knew they had no cavalry of their own to counter. There literally was no cavalry coming to save them.
I don't really get why Aemilius took so long to go for a rear charge. Perhaps I'm thinking too much in terms of total war standards and I'm missing something.
I just love the camera angles showing Roman and Celtic soldier alike getting lopped apart😈! For future videos, you should do the Battle of Kadesh (1274 B.C.E.) and Suppiluliuma vs. Tausret (non-historical) for Pharaoh, the Battle of the Lycus (66 B.C.E.) and Ardiaei vs. Massilia (non-historical) for Rome II, and the Battle of Cartagena (461 C.E.) and Ostrogoths vs. Saxons (non-historical) for Attila. Keep up the amazing work churning out incredible videos such as this👍😁!
This history is told in a such a perfect way - animation, music, super British English and ideal synthetic summary, that I was watchin the film dozens of time! Really great!!!

Lot of things I don't understand about this war my biggest question is how do u lose those type of numbers and yet still rasie army to the same likw 50 k men or even more
Awesome battle! But I find it a little weird that the hastati in the mod can afford lorica musculata armour and principes can not, and why do the celts have mainly leather armour? Anyway, great video - epic as usual!
The music does not match, at all. It sounds like it should be played in the background as we see the world through Saladin's eyes as he fights Baldwin IV. lmao it is so distracting.
it where the gauls of trans alpina who moved up over the alps to attack Rome. The Boii asked several tribes to comme and fight with hem against the romans. In 225 bv Chr romans didnt had such great army's yet because it was still a republic, and manny roman troops still where in spain holding the Cartagians. So Rome was forcet to make piece with Carthago to send more roman soldiers to rome's aid . In 225 rome didnt had prof soldiers yet ... I even seems to remember rome had allies the etruskians and asked for there help . BTW romans NEVER ever had big cav units , in all roman history the romans hired cav from other nations .... By the time romans maded prof armies , Each legion had its own contingend of 400 cav men. Somme facts of this battle where not correct and overrated . But it looked verry spectacular for sure. For the Gauls this attack was nessecairy to stop the expansion of the romans.

Yea they were locked in, cudnt go nowhere, but they were brave tho, can't deny that, coming up against rome
The celts were known for their bravery

@@smoke12785he was waiting for the perfect time, as in perfect time to move in without losing many soldiers to casualties
Far, far better than I had hoped to see! Good job!
This was just 7 years before Hannibals invasion of Italy
And Hannibal made better use of Celtic warriors against the Romans
Another boring Sunday saved by an awesome battle! Nice job!
Glad you enjoyed it

Excellent presentation!!! Wow!!! Thanks!!!😊😊😊
Awesome video once again
Thanks again!
Anybody wondering song intro is, its Call to Maponos.
Brillian video - well put together. I weary of films that depict battles of 60,000 using 600 extras and a lot of fog and close-ups!
Romans such a tactical war machine all small units became one large army that moved together
Amazing to watch
The narrative is good. The matching whatever is nuts.
what do you mean?
Best reconstruction of the battle I’ve ever seen

well done. sweet channel
Thanks for the visit
8:46 anyone else notice the berserker Celt left of the screen 😂😂
Celts didn't seem to have a plan other than to stand and fight. To me this one was a foregone conclusion.

The Celts invaded Rome 180 years beforehand and sacked Rome, so I believe it’s 50/50
Always look for the opportunity to defect; not to the other. Run away, run away, ,run away--defect to life. Let the fools fight.
Why do the outbound javelins make arrow sounds?
not to me lol
Long story short: the Romans are THAT invert you don't fuck with...

Battles of prayat to kang kang to hazel to Oris to himuc to peryak.
Someday make a movie with elves from the forest kingdom versus orcs from Mordor
Very funny 😂
why?
I thought most of the Celts went into battle naked - Telemon being the last time they did so.

ROME!
After this battle Rome's northern flank was exposed to German tribal expansion; the Celts were a buffer nation that kept the Germans at bay.
AGREED
is this rome total war 2???
Yes
I believe the numbers were way overestimated … how would they feed that many men in preparation for a battle ???!!!
The starting point of an uchronia that I am writting now.
I thought the Celtics were Irish?
not only Irish a mix of Welsh, Irish, and central European peoples
@@WarAndHistory. who is stronger germanic or celts
@@amerAsterixYes. Both I'd say, the Celts dominated Europe nearly in whole before the Vikings.

25000 celts fought and 40.000 were slain and additionally 10000 were captured and enslaved. something is not right here
Where are the Romans now they hide behind a church at a False god😇🍁🙂
I vostri video sono faziosi.....
These graphics are incredibly bad for 2024
the games from 2013
Imo looks great for his times
Almost right, but not Celtic but Slavs army earned the Rome
Fake, not logical
I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing.
Roman cavalry choirs are singing.
