NEW Follow Along Stretch Routine For Motocross!

- In today’s video, I show you a NEW follow along stretch routine for motocross riders. This is the exact routine I use every day here at Millsaps Training Facility, from our youngest amateurs to our top professionals.
Let’s face it. Everyone knows they should stretch, but they don't always know what to do. Having a solid stretch and mobility routine that you do every day will increase the chances of you walking away without any major injuries.
This stretching routine is made for motocross riders and stretches the specific muscles that get tight and sore from riding. I also put the foam rolling and stretching into one video so that every time you go to stretch, you can just pull up the video and follow along, start to finish!
I would recommend going through this routine first thing in the morning, or right before you ride.

Hey Jacob, awesome vid! Keep up the good work! Would you also do this before doing muscle training at the gym or after?
Thanks so much! I would do the foam rolling before lifting weights, but the most effective way to warm up for weight training is adding multiple warm up sets, getting progressively heavier as you go. This is the best for warming up the specific muscles you need and getting the nervous system to wake up! Great question!
Thanks for the Follow Along. Stretching seems difficult to be disciplined about doing but is really important for safety. Hopefully I can make your routine a habit.
It is difficult. Just like anything else fitness related, we don't see the results from our hard work for a good while. However, once you see results and notice how much better you feel, it makes it all worth it!
How long and consistent do you think you’d need to be to see the benefits of a stretching routine?
Hey good question, I would need to see you stretching 3-5 times per week, probably for at least 2 weeks to start seeing real benefits, but you may start feeling better almost immediately. Definitely takes a little time.
