great tutorial. all extensions found. at around 3:04 to create the rounded top of the ball I can't get it to work. It stays flat when I pull it up. I can't see what else I need to do. Any hints?
Hi, i tried everything perfect, but the action in the minute 5:40 had a problem, it seems like when the edge its deleted, the faces on the superior side have problem, and make same triangles and change the color to blue and red
As always, it is very interesting and informative. Only I did not get it - but why did you create the second sphere? To check the accuracy of the ball geometry?
Glad you liked. because it was not perfectly round due to small and different quads flow on top and bottom. so I use a sphere to make it round as much as I can. as you can see at: anyways it's a bit difficult to make a perfect sphere with subdivision mesh in SketchUp even you subdivide the cube. many other software has different option to fix this. in my football video, I fixed this issue with Artisan's "Smooth Selection" option.
When you love what you do, and, you do what you love, the most complex task it's easy!

use Group not Component.
-(no Sub groups) Group should contain just faces and/or lines.
or
Explode and regroup geometry and try again.
Thanks
TutorialsUp thanks, will look into this. Besides you manage to hide all except the wire of the group. How do you do that?
@@TutorialsUp Thanks for the hint. I succeeded!
You can also make a sphere and apply a texture with displacement map
you dummy
yes, I can. but the goal is to make more subdivision modeling tutorials.
wow
Thanks
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

not shure what happen, but anyway i just make that loop simply and dont twice with the control,
before doing that select mesh and click on "Convert sandbox quads to QuadFace Quads" (in Quadface tools toolbar)

30Mo basket ball? It looks awesome bit I would like to see what a mesh reducer would do to it.

Wow - good work!
Thanks!
Nice work bro. I think you should put more explanation in your steps. Not every step is understandable for people need to learn.
Thanks
