Ted Lasso tie! “Be curious, not judgmental.” That principle is so key to relational connection. The whole idea of Simon’s new book is absolutely fascinating and I can’t wait to read it.

I want to win Simon's book. Simon's quote, "You should quit when the sacrifice no longer is worth it.", really resonated me. I have decided to retire at the end of the current school year. It helped me to confirm that my decision to help the team move to the next level, is the right choice. "You should quit when the sacrifice no longer is worth it." As I walked down the hallway at the start of the school year, I felt like I had accomplished everything I wanted to as the leader and building principal. Simon's quote helped me to have confidence in myself that it was the right decision for me. The next leader needs to take the team to the next level. Thank you!

Whew! A few take-aways for me: Purpose of Business, Infinite Mindset, Simon's process for interviewing someone, When to Quit and my favorite: Do You Have the Courage to Replace your judgement with Curiosity. Thank you for this episode.

“I want Simon’s book!” Thank you for this podcast! I run a podcast called SZNL Lead that is just launching and I just learned to not send questions in advance to promote a natural authentic flow of conversation! I’ve been listening on Spotify for months now every morning I start with one of your podcasts and I oftentimes quote you a lot to my team! Especially regarding your thoughts on culture! Thank you for providing access to a vast community of young leaders! We need you! -Lilly Sato

Okay I'm 9 minutes in, and this is like the most mind blowing conversation I've heard in a while. Super cool you got to have Simon on your podcast and super incredible how much he and I think alike. I haven't really watched a lot of his stuff, but his thought process is uncannily similar to mine. Also, business isn't about maximizing profits! Genius! It's almost like God designed us with meaning and purpose. Anyway, what a privilege to have this opportunity. :D

  • @1721Jn

Excellent discussion on so many levels. The current corporate model has its priorities out of order, which leads to a “vulture culture,” sucking the life out of the people in their organizations, hurting everyone (and killing the souls of the leaders). Service to People and Service to Purpose ultimately leads to profit, and a return to “values culture,” breathing vitality into the organization and preserving the souls of the leaders.
Thank you to both of you for being such generous GIVERS. True leaders are (sacrificial) givers.
