Ted Lasso tie! “Be curious, not judgmental.” That principle is so key to relational connection. The whole idea of Simon’s new book is absolutely fascinating and I can’t wait to read it.
I want to win Simon's book. Simon's quote, "You should quit when the sacrifice no longer is worth it.", really resonated me. I have decided to retire at the end of the current school year. It helped me to confirm that my decision to help the team move to the next level, is the right choice. "You should quit when the sacrifice no longer is worth it." As I walked down the hallway at the start of the school year, I felt like I had accomplished everything I wanted to as the leader and building principal. Simon's quote helped me to have confidence in myself that it was the right decision for me. The next leader needs to take the team to the next level. Thank you!
Whew! A few take-aways for me: Purpose of Business, Infinite Mindset, Simon's process for interviewing someone, When to Quit and my favorite: Do You Have the Courage to Replace your judgement with Curiosity. Thank you for this episode.
I came for Simon and stayed for Craig. New subscriber! I really love how you asked the questions and managed to get nice new thoughts out of Simon, we have never heard before. I loved listening to you two. Thank you both 😊
“I want Simon’s book!” Thank you for this podcast! I run a podcast called SZNL Lead that is just launching and I just learned to not send questions in advance to promote a natural authentic flow of conversation! I’ve been listening on Spotify for months now every morning I start with one of your podcasts and I oftentimes quote you a lot to my team! Especially regarding your thoughts on culture! Thank you for providing access to a vast community of young leaders! We need you! -Lilly Sato
Two great speakers on a single show. I have followed them both for several years. Great content and awesome conversation. Useful and practical regardless of your area. Give it a watch, listen & take notes!! Loved listening and "I Want Simon's Book!"
Okay I'm 9 minutes in, and this is like the most mind blowing conversation I've heard in a while. Super cool you got to have Simon on your podcast and super incredible how much he and I think alike. I haven't really watched a lot of his stuff, but his thought process is uncannily similar to mine. Also, business isn't about maximizing profits! Genius! It's almost like God designed us with meaning and purpose. Anyway, what a privilege to have this opportunity. :D
Wow, the Business & Car analogy is so profound. A must hear for all the leaders. Not just listen but adapt this thinking and 'Why' is totally deciphered for the organisation.
Wow - 2 of my favorite leaders Unfiltered and transparent - I have listened to this 3 times - I have learnt so much - Incredible conversation I love you Craig , I love you Simon and I would truly love Simons Book 🙂
Improving friendships is one of my top goals for 2025! Perfect timing of this podcast and very encouraging. Thank you both. I want Simon’s book! But really I want the new book more :)
Excellent discussion on so many levels. The current corporate model has its priorities out of order, which leads to a “vulture culture,” sucking the life out of the people in their organizations, hurting everyone (and killing the souls of the leaders). Service to People and Service to Purpose ultimately leads to profit, and a return to “values culture,” breathing vitality into the organization and preserving the souls of the leaders. Thank you to both of you for being such generous GIVERS. True leaders are (sacrificial) givers.
I want Simon’s book. You are leaders who value authenticity especially in pushing for the impact of your respective cores! Sincere, authentic, honest and meaningful. I have grown to respect you and what you do more after this insightful conversation between you and Simon Sinek. Hats off!
Fantastic guest! Powerful conversation. Simon is truly a standout! Witnessing such a high level of realness and sincerity from one who is so gifted is admirable and refreshing. Great episode.
I want Simon’s book. I absolutely love that you interviewed someone with different views, potentially a different faith, but overall, undoubtably authentic. I learned a lot from this
I want Simon’s book! He is a brilliant speaker, and I like the way he thinks and conveys his messages. Thank you and I am glad I stumbled upon your podcast.
I want Simon’s book This is a great conversation, very challenging, I’ll be going back to this podcast with a pen and paper to take a couple of notes. Thanks, Craig.
I believe that this is the mindset that all leaders should have. Thank you for reinforcing some of my ideas, as well as challenging the ones that needed it.
The moment Craig was humble enough to say that he has been listening and studying from Simon. I wanted to watch this whole podcast. They both are my favourite speakers in GLS ❤ Love from India ❤
Good timing for this podcast, right at the beginning of the year. There was a lot covered. I listened in 2 parts. The things he said about friends, those were disagree with on topics in the last part was really good. I appreciate the humility he has.
I already have this book but WOW this was some great content here! I wouldn't even know where to start on what stood out here so I'll just say I thoroughly enjoyed this, every minute of it and I am taking away some major keys from it!
I want Simon's book. I see this guy all over the place and never read a book, comforted by his admission that he didn't like to read. Now he writes books. Leaders Eat Last sounds interesting. :)
