Hard to imagine him dropping out of the top 5. He’s got size, speed, skill and plays one of the most important positions. Big centres almost always go high on draft day. Skill wingers with average size have the potential to drop (Demidov, Eiserman, Catton if teams think he’ll be a winger)
If Demidov goes out of the top 5 it's only because he's Russsian and he might have to do military service which would lock him in the KHL until 2029-30.
@@jonathandrouin8717dude won't be available at 6 that's for sure! I'd say he's the most talented player of the draft, more so than Celebrini but the canadian's such a safe bet overall because of his size and iq that he's the consensus #1
@@djclovissio2338 Ehhh I'm not so sure that Lindstrom is more talented then Celebrini. Celebrini could be playing High School senior and yet he posted a 2ppg season in the NCAA which is quite phenomenal for a player of his age. Also his production would have been higher if he had better quality linesmate then what he had.
Great video! I think Cayden Lindstrom will be a top line power forward in the NHL in two or three years. He keeps progressing every time I see him. Size, speed, aggression, and he seems to gather in any pass sent his way no matter how bad the pass is.
As a habs fan my 1st is Lindstrom closly followed by Iginla. If they are not available i would either test the trade market or take the best player available no matter the position
He's a good one for sure but for overall play I'd still take TIJ before Cayden. I think it comes down to what type of player a team wants at that time in the draft.
I've been following the Tigers this year - Lindstrom plays on the second line with another incredibly talented projected first-round draft pick, Andrew Basha #34 (seen multiple times in these highlights - who's also been having an UNBELIEVABLE season). Would be very interesting to see a highlight/prospect video on Andrew Basha.
He’s definitely a power forward. Skating is a little weird but once he builds up some more muscles in his legs he should be fine. I could see him as a second line guy. That shot is nice and looks like a NHL type of shooting ability
I heard on Spittin Chiclets that some of the top guys like McDavid and MacKinnon play more upright as well. If you can perform with that style, I wouldn’t change it.
Been loving these reports!! The prospects I'm still waiting to see your reports on are Sam Dickinson, Cole Eiserman and Zayne Parekh. Would love to hear what you have to say about them!
Generally, I agree that players with a more upright stride are losing power, but the key difference knee bend vs back bend. Cayden is "sitting" in his stride. His head and chest are up, but he's in a deep knee bend, and he pushes to the side. I would argue that is the ideal posture. It takes a lot of core strength to be in that position. It's very powerful.
Would be fun to see a a Scouting report on a few guys when you have the chance.. Silayev, Connelly, Jiricek and Sennecke But keep up the awesome vids 🤙 You earned a sub
I'd say Slaf...he finished the draft season strong at Worlds and obviously went 1st overall which is a big deal. Lindstrom being hurt early may have affected his rankings and when he came back from injury and played in playoffs he didn't seem as dominant.
Do you think Ducks would take him? I’ve seen player comps to Getzlaf and he’s a legend in Anaheim. The team also needs size and grit and I think he can provide that. It’s tough bc they’re already stacked at C.

From what I've seen Linstrom and McKenna typically don't play on same line. But man McKenna is gonna be a nice one. The 2026 NHL Draft is shaping up to be a great draft!
The concern I have with Lindstrom is that since he came back from injury he has not had the same compete level and keeps the puck too long as if he really wants to make something happen but doesn't. In his last few games he often shot from distance and made blind passes that didn't work. I know it's only 4 games but it was a little concerning, what do you think?
Yeah I think coming back from injury definitely has affected his play, but once he gets more comfortable knowing he's fine, then it should change his play. See this a lot with junior kids coming back from injury.
My top 10 for the 2024 nhl draft: 1- Macklin Celebrini 2- Ivan Demidov 3- Sam Dickinson 4- Zeev Buium 5- Berkly Catton 6- Zayne Parekh 7- Artyom Levshunov 8- Cayden Lindstrom 9- Konsta Helenius 10- Anton Silayev
Im a bit worried about his injury. Sure guys like Morgan Rielly, Pastrnak and Mark Stone turned out great but there's also guys like Galchenyuk, Nolan Patrick, Gabe Vilardi and Peyton Krebs. His skating worries me too, it's very important in the NHL. Still, he's skilled, great puck protection, physical player and decent passer and shooter
Hmm Vilardi is turning pretty well with the Jets had is better NHL year so far this season so there's no point on putting his name on the same range as those guys.. plus Krebs is not over yet that's still fairly good chances he would break out next season
True...but wanted to show that he is not just thinking about attacking the net or shooting the puck from bad angles, but rather creating time and space and having options instead.
I'm extremely cautious about him... giving me Evander Kane vibes... I think he's a ceiling utility player who can score 25-30, and even then, Medicine Hat got stomped in the playoffs and he was barely a threat. The other thing I look for in top 10 players is: is he the best player on his own team? No... the best player on his team is a 15 year old phenom. Also a lot of these replays is like Medicine Hat is up 4 goals... the game's an exhibition and now he's putting moves on disenchanted D. I don't know, man! I wouldn't take him higher than 12, especially with what else will be available.
Lindstrom seemed off during playoffs...coming back from injury there usually is an adjustment period. As for McKenna, well he's a stud and most likely 1st overall pick in 2026. I'm not sure where I rank Lindstrom at this point either...been working on my mock draft and there's still a lot of play after first overall. Will be interesting to see how this draft plays out!
My best pick for habs 1. Celibrini 2. Lindstrom 3. Demidov 4. Catton 4. Iginla If they are all already draft. i wish habs will take a D before drafting Eiserman
Does Cayden Lindstrom go TOP-5 in the 2024 NHL Draft??? Tell me what you think below! #nhldraftpros
I am praying the 30 million hindu gods Habs gets him.
Most likely top 4
One of the more complete players fro this draft, he’s got everything he needs for a great NHL career, looking forward to seeing him grow into the game

I think his injury could get him out of the top 5. I doubt he drops out of the top 10 tho.
He doesn't look like an nhl center more of a winger

Iginla is barely top-10. Absolutely 0 chance we draft him 5th. None.
Watch Lynden Lakovic, he's the next year Lindstrom, even more talented
Always look forward to your videos. Keep it up!
Thanks for support...much appreciated!
The fact that I had to rewind the video, everytime, to actually see his shot on the goal highlights.. Thats gotta mean something lol

I’d be happy with the Hawks taking them both. They can take Basha with TBs #20 possibly.

Will be interesting after 1st overall!
As much as I like Demitov. Lindstrom has size and nastiness. Only concern for me is will he be injury prone being a physical player.

Who during draft year would be ranked higher:
Slafkovsky or Lindstrom?

Yeah I think depending on where the Ducks land after the lottery, he definitely would be a great fit for them!
Hey man, love your videos.
Are you the same person that was doing "hot garbage sports" ?
Thanks! And no that's not me. Cheers!
Will he be available for MTL at 5OA ?
Possibly!
I wonder if Columbus will get him at 4
Possibly!

How do you think him playing with Gavin McKenna affects both of them? Which do you think does more for the line?
