This song takes me back 30+years to Sundays at my parents house . There would be anywhere from 20 to 50 people at their house every Sunday . I cherish those memories,
Met the entire band back in the late 80's at a Denny's restaurant in Tulsa, Ok. They were very humble and down to earth. Got their autographs and still have it.
I've always loved Marty's voice. Another voice you really need to experience is Raul Malo, the lead singer of The Mavericks. They hit the scene in the late 80s and their sound was unmistakable, still is. Any song from their "What a Crying Shame" album would be a great place to start.
The lead singer is Marty Rayburn. And the other is his brother from shenandoah, The band broke up and the brothers started. Another band call the rayburn brothers.
Luke Bryan is from Leesburg, GA and Jason Aldean is from Macon, GA about 1.5-2 hours away from each other ... I'm from Orchard Hills, GA ... Definitely not too far away
Some of it is a little personal and you would have to know us to understand lol, Brandon Hicks the guy in the middle has been playing and writing music with me Pat ( the old guy), and my son James ( the bandana guy) for a long time. We went from a band to more of a brand. needed a cool name and my son came up with Reel, kind of a clever and different way of saying real. Reedy which is our last name. Put it together for Reel Reedy and it just stuck with us . 😁
@@reelreedymusic Part Irish, yes. Parents use to say it was O' Reedy until the family came to America long ago and they dropped the O', but Ive never looked into it.
I worked with Shenandoah before they were discovered in Muscle Shoals Al, love these guys, great folks, great band. ❤ RIP😢 Ralph Ezell

I can confirm Marty still sounds just like this. When I saw them recently live I actually carried instantly because of this.
