- Today we tackle the well-known Boot Leak in the FN2 Type R, also common across all MK8 Civics. This is a cheap and easy way to do it and I know that a seam siller would have been better! there are multiple ways to tackle this. Don't worry, the swap will happen soon! Hope you enjoy!

Just got my FN2 last weekend, looking forward to more videos!
@@branchamis7207 great choice for sure. What colour you go for??
@@Mayorrans_Garage ‘09 nighthawk black!
@@branchamis7207 had an 08 nighthawk myself, they do look sick! Tempted to go with that colour for the project car but most likely change it to something interesting
Pretty sure I need to do this on mine! Nice one bro 💯
Easy as and before you get that hole through!
Great video! ❤ keep it up
Cheers! Appreciate the support 🙂
Good video. My FN2's boot floor is fucked compared to yours. Definitely need to sort mine out, wish I had checked it sooner.
@sampsalol thank you! I knew on this one but came through the experience of a previous one.. just happened to put something under the boot floor as I was travelling and there it was, the splash in the carpets. Is yours going to need welding?
Thx for the video.
@@andresilvasophisma hope it helped!
@@Mayorrans_Garage I'm suspecting mine is leaking, now I know where to look.
@@Mayorrans_Garage By the way, did repairing the seams at the top solved the issue?
It looked like it had a leak near the left turn signal too.
@@andresilvasophisma yup! I thought so too on the turn signal but there was nothing coming through when I poured water through it. Was just quite dirty mainly
Thanks for the video , this has helped me out 👍
@@trekshogun glad I could help!
just ripped the same spot out. could have used a bucket to skoop out the amout of water i found. Any idea what/where I can source replacement grey pads under the carpet?
I've let them dry for now and will just use a glue gun to stick them back on, if they are salvageable that is. Otherwise I'd say Facebook group for Honda Civic Mk8 is your best bet. Not a must have to have, from my understanding it's more about sound deadening but not sure how much it does work.
