I think I heard somewhere that Jynx has the longest or one of the longest cries in the games, so it hold the largest amount of data. It is used as a placeholder so that any cry that will replace it will have an appropriate amount of data reserved for it beforehand preventing any problems when they swap to the final cry. Not sure how true it is, but if so, that’s kinda cool!
@@annawilliams5079 I can see that back in the GB / GBA era where the software wouldn't just automatically expand, but I have to wonder if that is the case past gen 3...
