man, there's something about these Pokémon beta builds that i really love, even though they're just unfinished versions that crash for any little thing, they're so fun to explore and see how their development process went until the final games we love!
Pokemon betas are so interesting you get to see how the game develop even though it was unfinished! I find it funny Regigigas is just chilling with Maylene in Ecruteak City lol!
The case of this game seems curious to me... It seems to use Pokémon Pearl as base, but the sprites have been redesigned like Platinum, and it uses the bw soundfont..
You mean to tell me they used to have a almost, if not FULLY IMPLEMENTED Gen 2 Mom design sprite, but REMOVED it, and used a generic woman NPC instead? I would LOVE to know the story behind that one.
in final build, it’s not a generic woman npc - she has a unique one, but it more closely reflects lyra’s design over the gen 2 one, that looks more like ethan’s
@@bmangaming846 already Checked thank you for your service soilder Now im trying to get the .sav file to run on a r4 cartridge IDK why but it will not be seen when i try to move it to the SD card.
Unfortunetly, the game will crash as soon as you try to leave your house. The game crashes everytime you try to load the town, even in the debug modes. It gives an "Assertion Error", whatever that means. I'll work on uploading some more footage of the build though so we can see what the rest of the game is like!
HI PLS HELP!!! I Downloaded the HGSS build the file called main_hg_dbg_20080131 and when I walked out of new bark town the screen went blue! And it said assertion failed xxxxx pls help

Crashes can be annoying but it's so interesting to see what changed in the development process, like the title music of these builds

it does sound like the Diamond/Pearl soundfont, but it could easily be a very early version of HGSS's soundfont
I do believe it is the DP soundfont. I've read online that some of the builds still use it

Yeah that'll happen with some areas, particullary with the early game ones. I haven't found a workaround for it yet
