Pokemon Soul Silver Beta: Pokeathlon!

This is the Jan 31, 2008 build of the game. Today I decided to see how athletic my Pokemon are. Turns out, not very :( The events are interesting, they're all done on the touch screen. Hurdle jumping, catching pellets, and finally bouncing the balls (each pokemon can hit a ball twice in a row before another one has to hit it). I was hoping for a bit more to the area but hopefully I find something new!

Sorry for not uploading in a while. A while ago someone requested me show these Pokemon off, so here they are! Their locations are the same as the final game and you have to catch Cobalion before the other two, just like the final game. I also love their unfinished designs here!

I just discovered a new build of Pokemon Silver! This is just me running around, I didn't have anything specific in mind. The game is still very prone to crashing, such as when trying to enter New Bark Town. This to me sounds like it still uses the DP soundfont but I might be wrong.

This area was neat to explore. Most of the layout is completed, with the exception of the post game area. It's a maze of copy/pasted rooms which love to crash. I was diappointed that Volcarona wasn't in his area. To fight the Darmanitan, I had to add a Rage Candy Bar into my inventory using one of the debug tools.

I can't believe I forgot about this location! Thank you to a helpful commenter for the reminder! Although there wasn't much there, it was still interesting. Just running around some areas in the post game. I was hoping to see Kyurem but it wasn't there. I wonder if there is a trigger somewhere in the game that lets him spawn? Cynthia was also not in her house so I unfortunetly was not able to battle her.

This build of the game features a longer intro movie than what is in the final game, but it has no music. The title screen is also different, this time with Reshiram ontop of Skyarrow Bridge, again with no music. The starter Pokemon do not come in a gift box. There are also different sound effects when leveling up.

This is the battle with N and Ghetsis. The battles are long due to me not having any gym badges, so Venosaur would ignore almost all commands. This was the best run that I had. I'm not sure why I couldn't have the gym bages. Neither beating the gym or using cheats added them to my character. The game will crash shortly after defeating Ghetsis. This is a later build of Pokemon Black than the other videos I've uploaded. This build seems to be moslty finished, aside from a few select areas, which you will see near the end. You have to use the dragon stone in order to start the fight with N, if I recall correctly in the full game it will be used automatically. I was also unable to catch Zekrom.

Very similar to the March 12 build, seems to mostly be sprite changes. I thought it was interesting to have the male character be Gold but the female was still Dawn. You aren't able to interact with anything or walk through doors in either build so navigation is hard.
