In today's Scenerio "electrical engineering + Electronics" combo used for chip design/hardware design
Electrical+ mech. Combo = mechatronics for robotics & electrical drives
Electrical+ CSE combo = to automate the systems with cloud, like I-IOT, ML in Chips, fuzzy logics etc.
Electrical + chemical = the most emerging field of battery management system for electric vehicles
Electrical+ energy systems = Renewable Energy
These are the today's most booming fields, the conventional fields of electrical engineering also already exists there & their govt. Jobs too.

I would love to see an interview with some of the top guns in bits Pilani who are under automotive design or robotics, there's a lot of confusion regarding future prospects and not a very laid down path to follow as a guide. Would be of great help! I recommended this to my ece fellows, and they did enjoy it.

*eni is 98% same as eee* .

Bro you can't bring electrical engineering under this umbrella of electronics engineering,
These jobs are one subset of Electrical engineering.
Today there is a huge scope for electrical engineering in subjects of Power Electronics, Control System, Machines : Electrical Drives,
Then also a very high market boom in Renewable Energy side.
So power system + power electronics combo is also booming.

Whats the point to study at premier institutes like BITS if you don't know job requirements?
For VLSI domain ,some roles doesn't have much prerequisite like verification-for which they expect you to know only digital electronics and verilog/vhdl etc. But there are some roles in analog domain which requires deep knowledge of subject. So don't say it is easy. Only drawback of VLSI is that the softwares are very costly so a student can't afford it. So he/she can only practice at college or training institute, that too on education version of software.

College tag(other than the premium ones) is just for 4-5 years but your branch is for a life time...And just in case if your really *passionate* of what you want to do then that's a whole different story, branch and college don't matter in that case
