Also, the comparison is not fair. The salary here in India (Google) is around $30k but $160k in USA. Plus, most revenue of Google comes from the USA. Microsoft is not there in MAANG because at the time the FAANG acronym was created Microsoft was a less of a player with Azure not being so big like it is now
Faang was an acronym given by jim cramer , back in some 2011 , because he had a portfolio there and he a famous stock news reporter. So it became famous
Microsoft's comp is less than the MAANG companies. In exchange they are a much more stable employer. Your likelihood of getting fired (in India) is low unless you're a real underperformer.
@@Askyomama_whoIam Netflix hire quality was incredibly high compared to Microsoft. Microsoft hires like Adobe, Walmart etc level talent and does diversity hiring, whereas Netflix used to hire UCLA, Stanford levels of calibre and did very less hiring.

This happened to me recently, Cracked 4 companies - Accenture, Nav backoffice, 2 more Accenture took 1 interview - cleared Nav backoffice took 2 interviews - cleared The interviewers appreciated me as well. Got calls from HRs asking the expected salary, and then later I got mail saying "I refused the job". Their budget was less than the salary I was getting in my previous organisation. Then why did they waste my time taking all those interviews.
One more point to include here is that many of the products developed by product based companies are itself the technology skills shown by employees of service companies to develop applications. For e.g. AWS, ReactJs, mongodb, bootstrap, Kafka, mulesoft, SFDC, etc is being shown as a tech skill while hiring in service companies like TCS, Infy while these products, libraries or tech frameworks are actually being developed by product based companies like Google, meta, mongo, Salesforce,Linkedin, etc. that require one to know core engineering skills like DSA, OS concepts, core programming languages, system design to name a few. Hardly 5 percent of the people working in service companies might be actually having these core skills. Rest of them are only experts at best in using these products. Then how do you think they can get hired in product based companies. The service companies will not pay more to them as they only need to know how to work on these products to develop applications without applying any of the core engineering skills and there will be thousands of them available who can quickly learn such skills as they are very easy to learn from the documentation given by their creators.
Even for AI, nothing much is going to change in these service companies. The product based companies are going to hire AI engineers to apply core skills to develop AI platforms and components like Tensor flow, Keras, LLMs etc, while service companies would hire AI engineers to develop applications based on them like the recent Gen AI ones
Surely you don't have idea on silent layoffs happened in infy few months ago....just giving random UP rating to anyone...most of them changed their project still they got such rating...so yes... they are worst and yes they fire randomly
It’s simple bro people with more brain will always earn more in these typs of jobs plus this is not sports that you hard work and achieve what u want so to get into top 1% of those employees who earn more than 2 lakhs per month u need a brain of an IIT or maybe a brain of a student who has atleast came close to getting into IIT because those students know the pressure and learning these core skills will be a cake walk with a brain like IITians have

This explains the salary disparity in IT companies very well. Appreciate your efforts. Thanks. Labour = High Supply + Low Demand (Service Industry) ---> Low Salary Talent = Low Supply + High Demand (Product Company) ---> High Salary
Actuually "talent" is work authorization in the USA and being top 5%. And many cannot overcome the barrier of leetcode tasks and white board coding some basic algorithmic stuff. When there is no work authorization or ability to visit office everyday - it becomes "labour", modern slavery.

its not about skill it is the type of companies. Indian IT companies provide services at cheapest rates. Cheap rates do not convert to higher salaries. The law of economics kicks is in which is the worst case for people working in services sector.

Why are you over exaggerating ? You are saying the cab drivers revenue not the final earning . And if he has this much revenue that means he works on all 7 days for 15 hours at least . His earnings would be lot lesser . No cook earns that much , if a cook also earns that amount that means they work for 15 hours a day in at least 6 to 8 jobs . These IT companies pay the same for less work . The value provided by employees in WITCH is less than the value provided by the cooks or driver .

Comparing product-based and service-based companies in terms of compensation is challenging, as they operate under different dynamics.Product-based companies are often more demanding because their products directly impact end-users, creating a dependency on the company’s reliability and quality. In contrast, service-based companies primarily work on projects outsourced by other businesses. If a client is dissatisfied with the services or finds them too expensive, they can easily withdraw the project and engage another service provider. This difference in client relationships and dependency makes compensation structures vary significantly between the two types of companies.
One of the major problem in Indian society is majority of the educated youth have tendency to earn only after their graduation. It should be realised not every individual can be highly skilled but his/ her vocational skills should be good ....Remember we are the youth of that country whose young population is highest hence majority of them will not get jobs unless or until you are not exceptional one.

But let me tell you its not black and white & at this end of my career i am planning to switch to consulting because of the single pros in it -consulting firm work are like low brain storming work and low tension mundane work which i am at this age is willing to di for the rest of my life because i am tired now to bare the accountability, ownership, planning etc which comes with a product based job
But there’s more to it. Not all can join tier 1 colleges so it’s ok to get placed in witch companies. But the actual “talents” there would just take that time to realise what they actually want - whether to study more or what they’re lacking, they make their network strong, learn new skills and make the move in the 2 yrs. 3.5lpa is not for you to save nd all.

Well explained! Probably you can dig deeper into the workstyle as in Big tech they build algorithms and emphasize more on performance, memory and core computing skills (in short software engineering). Services tech typically are more into resource allocation and utilization for back office IT services for business enterprises. Cusotmer segmentation where they make revenue as well is widely different!

When I first saw this video thumbnail, I expected it to focus solely on boosting employee skills and training. However, it turns out the video explores something even more intriguing-how the company's operations and limitations play a crucial role in employee performance. It's refreshing to see a fresh perspective that highlights how addressing company-wide issues can be just as important as individual training. This approach not only makes sense but also emphasizes that sometimes it's not just about how skilled employees are, but how well the company supports them. Dive into this video to discover how optimizing company operations can unlock new dimensions of success!
First of all it very offensive to say labour to the engineers who worked on service based company. Second is not sure if you have any engineering experience or not. Context is very important and both the engineers solves a very different business challenges. For example product based company build the software at scale and make it market fit, where as service based company build multiple software or a part of software for a client. Even if both the case engineer write code to build software but the skills required is very different. Comparison is fine but let not call out anyone as labour especially when you have no clue of the context of both the business and what all engineer have to bear to earn living. 🙏
Google actually pays even more to freshers in 2024. I got selected this time in campus placements and here's my package breakdown: Base: 21 lakh Target Bonus: 15% Sign On Bonus: 3.25 lakh RSUs: $31000 (over 4 years, $11780 in first year ~ 10 lakh rupees) The CTC comes to be around 54 lakhs, the first-year compensation comes to be around 37.4 lakhs. This is for the Software Engineering role, Bachelors degree.
Google hires people who understand the fundamentals well. Irrespective of the product vs service spectrum, at Google the expectations on employees is much higher. When we hire an engineer for Google, we don't really look a lot at specific technological expertise, we rather look at the candidate's potential to be able to make the next technological innovations happen. It all boils down to fundamentals. Personally, I never really think in terms of what technologies I could use yesterday, today or can use tomorrow. Rather from my perspective, it's just some code running on someone's machine, and my goal is to provide the best value for the people who run my code, irrespective of what the code does or where it runs.
I have interviewed some really amazing people who work with TCS. Also, TCS has a very nice training program for its hires. It's just that with all the things people get to work on, very few actually stay true to their fundamentals. A Google team is like a SF team, it works like a well oiled machine, everyone knows their own responsibilities and can also take the responsibilities of other teammates on short notice. As a Googler, you have this implicit guarantee that your team will look after you, and in turn you're prepared to go beyond the conventional for your team. You'll invent new ways of doing things and you'll take risks, because you want to make things better, and you know that your team will back you up if you ever fail. That's what you sign up for - there will be huge amounts of challenging work, you'll dive in and read millions of lines of code/documentation/research that people wrote before you, you'll write lacs of lines of code yourself in comparatively short amounts of time, but you know that the people before you and with you are giants and you stand upon their shoulders, you also know that you're a giant in making that the future generation will look up to.
I had never understood what really goes behind , had the bias that many Indian companies just don’t like to pay much but this video really cleared up my mind. as I am too going to enter market soon , this helped a lot
"This channel is really underrated, the quality of the content needs more appreciation. Keep doing videos like this, and the recognition will surely follow."
you should convert revenue either in dollars or rupees, its little confusing, Most of the folks here to watch your video , not do any maths calculation, and it will make easy to get idea. well I assume it was not 'INTENTIONALLY' this way.
Quality is more important than quantity 100% , and as a recruiter I know that quantity is easy to get early and lead to false multiple issues in future and otherside quality is difficult to get and provide long terms results.
This is the story of most of the corporate companies and now it has become a trend. Most of the management have a very poor mindset that they pay very less to the hardworking, dedicated and goal oriented talent because any which ways he/she will do it unlike others. Which eventually spoils the health of the individuals and their dedication turns into frustration and anger. Never test the patience of any individual who is putting every drop of their swet to bring success to team and growth to organisation they deserve everything that companies fail to do for them.

Faang was an acronym given by jim cramer , back in some 2011 , because he had a portfolio there and he a famous stock news reporter. So it became famous

This happened to me recently, Cracked 4 companies - Accenture, Nav backoffice, 2 more
Accenture took 1 interview - cleared
Nav backoffice took 2 interviews - cleared
The interviewers appreciated me as well.
Got calls from HRs asking the expected salary, and then later I got mail saying "I refused the job".
Their budget was less than the salary I was getting in my previous organisation.
Then why did they waste my time taking all those interviews.
Bro what did you do to pass the interview what are the skill sets.
What should I do as a fresher looking for a job.
There is end of developers era. Start something innovative to lead best life.

Labour = High Supply + Low Demand (Service Industry) ---> Low Salary
Talent = Low Supply + High Demand (Product Company) ---> High Salary
Actuually "talent" is work authorization in the USA and being top 5%. And many cannot overcome the barrier of leetcode tasks and white board coding some basic algorithmic stuff. When there is no work authorization or ability to visit office everyday - it becomes "labour", modern slavery.

BTW what's the average package there for freshers?

Basically i have worked previously both in consultancy and then in product based companies and i can say these consultancy call them technology partners but what they are basically a sourcing company-u need someone to fill up some small gaps & they provide the resources for that thats all.
