2weeks later !! I just put a 12v battery in the power wheels car, surprising this flex seal modification actually works amazingly ,the car is no longer doing stand stills or getting stuck in cracks, push the pedal and it takes off, try it for yourself ,let it Harding up for a few days

DannyBoy. Thanks for the idea!! I'm doing it on my daughter's jeep power wheel right now! Thanks again bro.

Does this also help in preventing wear to the tires ?

I rhino lined my tires. Bought a spray in bed liner kit for my truck and used the leftover on my kids tires. That works good. Never tried flex seal. Very interesting stuff.

*THANK YOU 👏 for posting this!*
I've been contemplating this idea for a while now but was hesitant on spending what few xtra bucks I have only to take a gamble on if this was an actual hack or just another disappointing fail. I am convinced now and will now be heading directly to Target or to whoever sales the stuff tonight.
Btw, your daughter had me chuckle thinking thats exactly what my girl would've done and said had she seen me recording myself. That's the influence and power the internet has on our youth of today.😁

That’s an interesting idea- I’m gonna try this on my daughter’s power wheel.

Sweet idea with that flex seal, saves a shit load of time instead of cutting bike tires and playing around with zip screws and what not!

How about an update? Is it still holding up or is it peeling off like most other products like this? Also- how has the gearbox held up? Without an ability to slide a bit when stopping, the first gear often strips out.

Seems like power wheels would sell an up grade kit so you can add stuff as your child grows thats a great idea for you shark tank people all I want is 10%.

The kids haven't drove it much. I'm going to put a 12v in it, and then trash the car to see how well the flex seal holds up, I will give an update soon

Well I did it. I applied 2 coats on my Power Wheel Ford F150 6V wheels . After giving it 2 weeks to cure completely while I finished all other mods to the truck.
    Convert 6V to 12 V
Relocated 12V battery in rear under seat between the 2 motors, accessible through rear panel.
    Added a 40A
Pulse Width Modulation to be able to turn the amps down ( not the volts) so my 3 year old grandson could learn to drive it with out going to hospital.
    French in headlights
Added 12 X 5mm red LEDS on rear and side running lights
Added 6 X 5mm yellow LEDS on front side running lights
Added kill switch passenger side back
    Added light switch on dash
Did away with push nuts on all axles and steering shaft and threaded them with 7/16 & 3/8 dies. Makes removing parts easier.
Gave to my grandson with the PWM turned down to 3 MPH like stock model (with 12 volt it will do 6+ MPH) and the tires did not burn off, but the rubber was soft enough
that small stone would stick to tires but fall off. I do believe that once it is turned up full the rubber will peal off. But for now it looks good and works
And yes I would do it again if you stay at 3MPH but not above.
I wish I could show photos of it.

thats a really cool idea too... curious how long that Flex Seal holds up on asphalt for long periods of time. My daughter is only 18mo and Im not concerned about speed right now, but i want longevity and traction. Thanks for the tip... i saw your comment on a 2 week review, how long did this hold up?
