I’m so glad I stumbled upon this! I’ve been wanting to build a coverup for my dog kennels and haven’t been impressed with what’s out there and/or the furniture pieces are too expensive. This is such a great alternative and a lot less cuts (aka work) than all the other DIY options I’ve seen! I’m so happy, thanks for sharing!!!

How creative to turn a cabinet into a dog crate! It looks great. I wish my dog was small enough to do this! Turned out really cute.

Ikr! I have medium dogs. Jack russell mix, a bull terrier and about to have another bull terrier puppy next month. I thought this cabinet was huge until she put her little dogs inside. My 3 dogs will definitely not fit in something like that.

Thanks for making this video! I plan on doing a similar project with a big old dresser I have, but I'm going to put it in my shed as a chicken timeout/hospital or place for a broody hen and her chicks to sleep safely.

Very cool, but how did you secure the doors on the ends? Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see you put any form of lock or screws or anything on those outer doors to keep them from pushing them open. Just the middle ones?

I can't wait to try this for a living room cabinet/crate. I have been looking to make something in place of the wired crates for my pit. Depending on the cabinet I can find I may block part of it off to hide the cat's litter box.
