I did the process and got nothing but error codes. My recommendation for anyone doing this in their own is to cut the plugs from the throttle by wire and solder them it makes it easier and you lose the engine codes.
You will get error codes if you leave or turn on the ignition switch during the process. We learned that the first time we did it and have since never had a issue.
And we recommend never cutting the wires to soder them, that would leave more of a risk and twice the effort. It depends how far you pull the bars back most of the time it clears if not you can use the kst extensions
