Edel Gissane I'm very sorry I was devastated when I lost my baby boy but I have sooooo many wonderful memories of our time together. I also take comfort in knowing I WILL see him again and that big mush face some day. I hope in time you will be able to take comfort in those things as well.

I have a 4 year old boxer named Tank. If the word mischievous was a dog, Tank would take the cake as mischievous. Everyday we have to be telling to either not run to the neighbors house or stop watching us eat, but we love him a lot.
Wiggly, derpy, dramatic and awkwardly funny? I didn't know before but the Boxer is my spirit animal!
Well...they love us, heal us, teach us and always make us laugh - DOGS are the best!

My idea of a permanently happy home...a pittie, a boxer, a corgi, and a cat that thinks it's a dog. Had a friend who had all four. Never stopped laughing whenever I visited her house. Add to that four active kids and a husband resigned to the chaos that constantly occurred.😁🤣

My boxer is a lil old man, he sleeps a ton but he’s so gentle and loving. Had him since I was 6 and I love him to bits

Our last Boxer was extremely smart (not unusual for wiggle-butts).
He knew he couldn't approach a child without permission, and he LOVED babies! He'd sit and whine like he was in actual pain until he got clearance to get close. And many babies loved him instantly.
He was a complete drama-doggy, and we miss him like crazy.

You're right, it's sad To see this. The problem is that their tails are very hard and they often break easily because they're shaking them To hard. If they don't break, they bleed a lot and hurt people who are near them. My aunt had a lot of boxers in her life (with and without their tails) and usually, those with them were much more in pain because they were breaking or injuring their tails often when they were shaking it.

Both of my Boxers have docked tails. Never affected them at all, not having their tails. Happy, healthy pups. I don't find anything sad about it. They're cut for medical reasons. If anything I can tell by their wiggle bums it's best they didn't have em. In the US we don't really have a choice. Most puppies have their tails docked right away. As long as ppl aren't taking it upon themselves to remove it, which is sad + cruel + should be illegal. I don't have a preference. Whether a Boxer has it's tail or not they're still the same goofy, lovable, dramatic dogs that will shake their lil bums uncontrollably ❤
I’m on my second boxer. I find the female is much more dramatic than the male was. She makes me laugh everyday! 💜
They are perpetually two years old, no matter how old they are. They will fart and snore and drool and wiggle the nub, when they get excited and turn their bodies to one side it’s called Doing the Kidney bean.😂 I have a 7yo boxer, and I swear they are the most awesome, entertaining, lovable, and just down right clowns of dog kind.
“Doing the Kidney bean” got me good 🤣 you couldn’t be more spot on - boxers are by far the most entertaining dog breed. We’ve been lucky to have a boxer as our first dog. I think we’re spoiled for life - can’t imagine living without a boxer for the rest of our lives
A bit of a sad story...
I had a boxer named Sophie since I was in elementary, can't for the life of me remember what grade, that was a part of family family for 13 years. Unfortunately, she passed away in February 2021.
But theoughout her life, she was a weird little gremlin.
Some moments involved:
- When we first picked her up from her original owner, she peed in my dad's car.
- Some time after that, we came home to see her next to a next over trash bin and trash spilled over the floor.
- In her old age, she stopped barking and used more body language; smacking her food bowl, huffing whenever she was annoyed that we weren't doing every little thing she wanted that second, kicking open loose doors, or simply staring at you when you had food and she wanted a snack.
- She was so persistent on walking down the in-between paths in our neighborhood instead of other paths and would not budge if we tried going a different way.
- She also was persistent in making sure she got tucked into bed with my mom. She slept in my mom's bed because it was the lowest to the ground, especially in her older age.
My favorite memory with her was one time when I was late teens. I misplaced an important document or something and my mom was, understandably, pissed. But I was young and didn't know better, alongside with holding in some other pent up stress I had during that time, so I just started to break down as she tore into me how vital it is that I dont lose something like that.
Sophie then came up and, for the first time in a while, barked at my mom until she left. Afterward, she came over to me and gave me some kisses until I started calmed down.
I cherish that memory because there were moments after she passed away where we questioned if she was happy living with us and if she loved us. Everytime I ask myself that I look back at that moment, showing me that she did love us and was happy to be part of our family.
Edit - Watching this vid, it reminds me alot her attitude and traits. 😊. It's just really nice to see a lot of people can experience all the weirdness Boxers have to offer. Especially, their wiggle dances🥰

Kindest breed hands down, and I had a lab as well as a cocker spaniel. A few of my friends had Boxers, they are basically sweet, innocent fur covered little children without a mean bone in their wiggly bodies.

Boxers are definitely some goofy characters. Loved my brindle boxer brody. But since he passed haven't looked at getting another boxer yet. He was my fur baby, wiggle butt, son and best friend. RIP Brody Boy
My lovebug is half pittie / half boxer with a stub tail. She's so loveable, goofy, silly and sweet. This video makes me smile from ear to ear. ❤🐶

My boxer is 12 and she can’t wiggle anymore, and I miss it. At least she can still talk to me.
Mine makes Chewbacca sounds. I reckon when we are away from home she goes and does voice lines.
Also, we refer to their big dangly mouth flop as chops, don’t know why but I think it suits them.
Our boxer would also groom herself like a cat, which was hilarious. And if any of us started play wrestling, she'd jump up and down and start making squealing sounds because she wanted to play, too. And sometimes when she was out in the yard she would dash from one corner to the other at full speed, and back again, just to burn off some energy. So I'd randomly look out the kitchen window and just see this brown blur speeding across the grass.
She was the sweetest, smartest dog I've ever known. In one house we lived in, she could jump the fence - so we put wire above it. Then she started digging. We were going to keep trying to stop her getting out, but then we realized she always left for a short amount of time and came back. Turns out she was going down the alley to play with a sad dog whose owner always left it chained up outside. She would basically leave home just long enough to cheer up her neighbor. We were so lucky to have her, and it's been about a year since we lost her but I still miss her so much. She was irreplaceable.
My baby's wiggles get me EVERYTIME
I grew up with boxers, they will always be my favourite! Seeing all these cute little guys is making me miss having a dog so much haha, they acted just like this!
My dad used have 2 boxers and one named Mobly protected me and he never let any other dog past besides his other boxer named cheeks and one past from old age and the other dog randomly passed away
My first dog was a boxer, she was 1 or 2 when I was born and she was the greatest to grow up with. I couldn’t have asked for a better dog to be there for my first 10 years.
Boxers have got a special place in my heart so I was ecstatic when my parents adopted a young boxer recently. He’s so silly and loving!

I’ve recently met this really sweet boxer pit bull mix who just walked right into my house! She had somehow gotten out of her backyard and walked right up the stairs of my house! She was such a good girl!
As a owner of a purebred boxer. I can fully agree with this. My boxer boostie is so silly and loving and supportive. Doesn't bark unless it's someone she knows and is excited to see them, or if it's an intruder. Shes always super nice she literally hasn't met someone or another dog she doesn't like, but some dogs haven't liked her. She's amazing and I think people can agree not on just this but boxers in general

These scenes I know all too well - our little Bud-Bud was one heck of a weird, stubborn, loyal to death, loving, wiggling, "talking", clowning and shining light in our lives. He left us a few months ago after 14,5 years to go on his star walk. Life is a bit colder and darker now but we're thankful for all the beautiful years and memories. RIP little rascal ... and wait for us at the bridge! There will never be another one like you, our soul dog - as Antoine de Saint-Exupéry said so perfectly in The Little Prince:
"If you look at the sky at night, it will be like all the stars laughing because I live on one of them, because I laugh on one of them. You alone will have stars that can laugh. ... And if you comforted yourself, you will be glad to have known me."
The boxer always has something to tell us about. Very nice to see a boxer without a cropped tail! My favorite is the Sunflower boxer costume!

This reminds me I lost my pet boxer last April. I miss her she was the best dog I've ever seen. She was never a dog who would bite hard even when playing she was a gentle soul. You will be missed lily no matter what happens or how much time passes.

Aaaawe! I miss my boxer sooo much. It has been years and I will NEVER get over him or stop missing him. He was the absolute BEST dog EVER! They really are that loving and that hilarious! They have the most human like personalities, but in the best possible way. They also absolutely adore children, even brand new little infants, they are oh-so careful with. They even love being treated like little humans themselves. My big guy wouldn't go to sleep unless he was next to me w/a pillow for his head and covered with a blanket! Such a big baby! Lol I jokingly gave him a pacifier one time, and he actually suckled on it until he fell asleep. It was adorable and HILARIOUS at the same time, which are two words that pretty much sum a boxer up perfectly!

Just so you know, there are some boxers that are born with "Bob Tail" (short)
my boxers have full tails. the boxers we had before these ones had their tails chopped off as puppies. they were always scared of people, mainly men, because we assumed it was a man who chopped their tail off. our current dogs with full tails are so happy and their tails always hit the cabinets. they still wiggle, so you don't have to have a boxer witha short tail to get a wiggle butt.

Never was all that much into dogs until I met my first boxer. He belonged to my boyfriend and his family. A couple years later, when my boyfriend's dogs had their second litter (and final litter) of puppies I got a female brindle that looked almost identical to her dad. He just passed on January 13, 2021, but he was such an amazing and loving dog. Boxers are just such sweet dogs.

I adopted a boxer named brisa, she was my first one. She was 8 yo at that moment but acted like a puppy lol. She show me how loyalty and real love is, and also crazyness. She left us bc of cancer at the age of 14. I miss her everyday but im sure that we will meet in another life.
