@@daddyrizo1346 Didn't you see the video? Luffy was shown to mature when he actually trusted his crew enough to defend themselves from big mom and take on katakuri alone. Not only you and many others (Sawyer7mage, King of Lightning, Joy Boy, GrandLine and many others to boot) have taught me the do's and don'ts on Shonen and anime in general, but also to take in key concepts and rules on establishing an anime universe and its characters and whatnot. Right now, I'm doing my best to create a Shonen series that is inspired by Dragon Ball, One Piece, and a bit of My Hero Academia, and I'm viewing and reading books, videos, and threads on Reddit on how to write coherent stories to make the audience engaged. I don't want the series to be like a poor imitation to the series I listed above but like take their elements and put a little spin on it. Once again, I thank you for the videos and I hope you'll do many more to come. One thing which makes One Piece so great in my opinion is how Oda was clear from the start what the end-goal of the story was. If you want to write a cohesive story, you have to have the ending in mind from the beginning. Otherwise you're bound to write yourself into a corner one day.
Incredible. This has put into words a lot of what i believe one piece says to me. I am trying to follow my dreams, but my dreams are vague and childish. This just tells me that I need more conviction and to go out into the unknown and take failure on the chin.
I LOVE the comparison between Luffy's actions in Sabaody and in Whole Cake island... I never made that connection and it makes that scene where her hold his lips and smiles in the mirror that more amazing. God I love straw hat Luffy!!!!
I love the symbolic imagery in One Piece. Oda does great work at making One Piece a series that appeals to kids and young teens, while having enough underlying conflict, symbolism, character development and cool scenes to appeal to audiences as they get older. He keeps much of his writing simple and focused (which sometimes elicits Meat-booze-woman criticism), but the whole picture is far more complex and gets across key ideas very well
I love most of the one piece videos a lot not because they're about an Anime I like but because it encourages me to keep trying and not give up in the things I want to do.
I rarely comment on your One Piece videos because I never really have anything to add so I will just say happy birthday and wonderful video. I don't always agree with everything you say on other videos but your understanding of One Piece is always on point and generally fascinating.
I dunno if this was super obvious or not, but this video made me look at the title in a different way, ONE PIECE might not be the treasure, but just a literal piece of the puzzle or the larger overall collection of pieces that make up the world that is represented by the straw-hats in relation to the many groups of characters that make up this world as whole.
In Japanese "One Piece" in reference to the treasure is always written as "ひとつなぎの大秘宝 (ワンピース)" or "The One Treasure That Brings All Things Together". It really isnt a stretch at all to think of it that way. Robins dream is to lead all information from the past to the present by finding all the Poneglyphs and guiding them to Laughtale the final island. To connect past to present. Sanjis dream is to find the "All Blue" a miracle sea that has the sealife of all 4 seas. To connect all seas. I think its a deliberate choice by Oda, just more pieces of the Puzzle he is slowly filling in for us Readers, whether we are consciously thinking about them or not.
this was genuinely a lot of fun to watch! I haven't followed one piece in a few years (because its obvious it will never end) but this was a great refresher into the series that had at one point, was very close to me. thanks for the nostalgia boost :D

While a lot consider Crocodile to be the first to defeat Adult Luffy (cause Croco-boy put him on the brink of death twice or even thrice ) the first person who really defeat him was Smoker, even if he didn't hurt him, he neutralized him and made him completely defensless in a one-sided fight, without Dragon, that would have been the end
If you’re going by that logic Luffy would have died to Buggy without Dragon saving him in Louge Town because Buggy was about to publicly execute Luffy in the same location that Gol D. Roger was executed in.
@@RoronoaZoro-ur6hr True, though in that case Arlong too But neither Arlong and Baggy truly defeated him, one caught him off-guard while vs Arlong it was Luffy's own stupidity at play Smoker and Crocodile fought a serious Luffy head on, Luffy didn't do any mistake and was focused but he was still overwhelmed by both of them
Theory : The lighting strike came from luffy’s advanced conquerers Haki because the real secret to advance conquerers is the will to believe in yourself and it was strong enough to summon a lighting bolt
Huh. So that what the Dragon Tiger symbolism is. It's quite evident in Gunvolt Two with GV and Acura. Aqura obviously being human makes up with his ingenuity. With GV going through his grief, he became stagnant
To people saying Roger sacrificed himself for his crew mates I honestly don't think that was what Rogers thoughts were Roger Pirates were hella strong and they pretty much were self sufficient but the choice of Roger Disband was due to his health condition He achieved what he wanted to and then there was no purpose since the Roger pirates were built on the idea of turning the world upside down and they did when he became the pirate king so continuing the journey with no purpose sounds like a lost cause Maybe this could appear true to the case of his family By turning himself in there mightve been a possibility that he wanted them to have a normal life and don't want to be associated with Roger to be chased down all their life by World Govt but in turn the sacrifice he made lead to his death and the inability to protect both Portgas D Rouge and Portgas D Ace What's more interesting is this applies to Garp too Garp sacrificed himself for both marine not leveraging him to get Ace and let Luffy punch him to save Ace but by then sacrificing his connection and his strength he wasn't able to prevent this war from happening not able to be there to help ace from akainu My ONE PIECE is just brilliant
Luffy’s always mentioned that his only fears throughout the entire series is the fear of loneliness and rejection because even in the Jaya Arc whenever people mocking and ridiculing him about a dangerous and an improbable task in reaching the “mythical” Sky Island of Skypiea Luffy wasn’t fearful towards the idea of going to Skypiea for 3 reasons 1. To get the same clues Roger was given on his quest for Pirate King. 2. To ring the bell for Mont Cricket. 3. To show the entire world of One Piece that he’ll explore the unexplorable even if it’s the most dangerous and improbable task of all time.
Luffy is becoming more and more like Roger. Roger could only grow and travel because he could trust his allies in Rayleigh, Scooper, as well as Oden. He loved his crew, they were his family. Luffy originally pinned Pirate King as a title one can accomplish alone. Yet through his journey, Luffy learns to rely on his crew. To love and cherish them not as simply people with dreams, but the greatest treasure ever. His One Piece.
Luffy never thought he could become pirate king alone. His literally first goal when he starts his journey is to find a crew. If he thought he could do it all alone he wouldn't have done so. Luffy has relied on his crew since day 1 with Zoro.
Awesome job; I really enjoyed the video. I had never thought of it before because him being a man of action is so plain and unobscurred that I did not think I needed to. You actually bring up a great point. Luffy did learn the wrong lesson and he's going to be taught it in the near future (for him at least). I keep wondering why we the audience should discredit Oda saying through other characters that Kaido is Invincible and cannot be harmed? We keep thinking that Luffy needs to beat Kaido, that based off the story and narrative that Luffy will eventually succeed... but really he doesn't. It would be painful to see everyone fail at the rebellion, to see Luffy and his crew destroyed again. But, theres something you brought up that people never consider... Why is up to Luffy's main crew. Why is victory based off a single fight among leaders. The worst defeat someone could hand Kaido... its not physical in the least. It's mental, its emotional, it's SPIRITUAL. So how do you deliver that type of defeat? The answer is staring us in the face; all you have to do is ask "Why Wano", some answers come to kind like resources and secrecy... NO, ITS SECURITY; why would someone that cannot die do something for the sake of security? His crew. His crew is where the rebellion or the other factions can hurt him best. Kaido is Luffy if Luffy never lost in the first place (as in the loss that scattered his crew). Kaido has done most of it himself and like Dofy has great concern for a select few. That is why i think he hides on Wano. I think if the Mugiwara do beat him that it will be Zoro using Ryumas sword to take down Kaido there are Zero exceptions to this in my mind. but most likely it wont be the crew at all. Not just Luffy but his crew need to learn to trust in those that follow them (grand fleet/rebels/people of Wano, wanting a non-kozuki leader/Minks/other).

Unpopular opinion: Luffy at Archipelago ordered his crew to runaway because he didn't want them to die. He knew that he couldn't protect them alone in that situation against the Pacifistas, Sentomaru, Kuma and Kizaru. Had it being a different situation, he will sacrifice himself while they leave like in the Katakuri fight. So I wouldn't consider the Archipelago moment him "giving up" but more a "realization of his weakness, not having the strength to protect his friends in all situations."
Staying and fighting would've just killed them straight up, after putting up a fight with a pacifista they were at their last legs to begin with On top of being outmatched completely
Luffy called a retreat to protect his friends the whole crew was tired and on the oast leg it took a group effort to beat px he knew he couldn't beat kuma and the others it showed growth
Wait you picked the wrong vader duel. That's the one where Luke gets bodied because he ran off without finishing his training and wasn't prepared to face a genuine master and/or the flaws in the jedi way.

@@RoronoaZoro-ur6hr True, though in that case Arlong too
But neither Arlong and Baggy truly defeated him, one caught him off-guard while vs Arlong it was Luffy's own stupidity at play
Smoker and Crocodile fought a serious Luffy head on, Luffy didn't do any mistake and was focused but he was still overwhelmed by both of them
@@guifire9747 , your points on Smoker and Crocodile are also truthful and fair.
This video is about to blew up
This is my first time watching your video and it was extremely well done
Theory : The lighting strike came from luffy’s advanced conquerers Haki because the real secret to advance conquerers is the will to believe in yourself and it was strong enough to summon a lighting bolt
Huh. So that what the Dragon Tiger symbolism is. It's quite evident in Gunvolt Two with GV and Acura. Aqura obviously being human makes up with his ingenuity. With GV going through his grief, he became stagnant
To people saying Roger sacrificed himself for his crew mates
I honestly don't think that was what Rogers thoughts were
Roger Pirates were hella strong and they pretty much were self sufficient but the choice of Roger Disband was due to his health condition
He achieved what he wanted to and then there was no purpose since the Roger pirates were built on the idea of turning the world upside down and they did when he became the pirate king so continuing the journey with no purpose sounds like a lost cause
Maybe this could appear true to the case of his family
By turning himself in there mightve been a possibility that he wanted them to have a normal life and don't want to be associated with Roger to be chased down all their life by World Govt but in turn the sacrifice he made lead to his death and the inability to protect both Portgas D Rouge and Portgas D Ace
What's more interesting is this applies to Garp too
Garp sacrificed himself for both marine not leveraging him to get Ace and let Luffy punch him to save Ace but by then sacrificing his connection and his strength he wasn't able to prevent this war from happening not able to be there to help ace from akainu
My ONE PIECE is just brilliant
Happy Birthday Craftsdwarf

5:05-5:09
AH ! Here we go; what I had on my mind for the whole 5 first minutes of the video.
Damn, never trully realized how much Luffy hates loneliness.
Luffy has relied on his crew since day 1 with Zoro.
which manga have you read ?
Happy birthday, best human!
BASED!
indeed.
This is an amazing video.
You need to do an unificial part 2 of this video focusing on oden and why he lost to

Me: REAL SHIT?
Thank you crafts!!!
11:41 I havent watched nor read One Piece yet, but damn can someone explain why Luffy just straight up glocked that girl lol
She’s his friend and a princess 😂
Cause she was hitting him and and luffy wanted to beat some sense into her.
The bitch had it coming.
Luffy called a retreat to protect his friends the whole crew was tired and on the oast leg it took a group effort to beat px he knew he couldn't beat kuma and the others it showed growth
I wish I could subscribe for a second time.
I think Luffy will end up killing someone at some point, when its someone whose dream is to shatter Luffy's.
very good vid
So glad I'm subscribed to you, thank you for the video!
Luffy is so interesting
such a nice voice 👌
The audio quality took a nose dive tbh
How do you write these godly scripts?
Wait you picked the wrong vader duel. That's the one where Luke gets bodied because he ran off without finishing his training and wasn't prepared to face a genuine master and/or the flaws in the jedi way.
The contradiction is wrong though...
The vivi issue was about a civil war, people die in war
But Luffy’s goal was to save Ace and Ace isn’t someone random but his own brother
Losing your brother shortly after saving him, plus it is his own fault because Ace saved him
So he didn’t contradict himself
It's isn't wrong though
Luffy said that people die in war which make it anyone, even those close to vivi.
fight with Kuma in saboady archipelago happened before the paramount war
28 minutes? my body is ready
