So , I don’t go off roading , I don’t tow anything , and I purchase a FORD F350 king ranch tremor because thats what I wanted and that’s what makes me happy 😂. Like always GREAT VIDEO JB
For years I was all chrome guy, I’ll never get a vehicle with painted bumpers, especially black wheels. Completely opposite now, love my 24 AT4HD, just wish I would have stayed with a 3500, yes there is a BIG difference between a 2500 and 3500 when towing.
I want a basic 4x4 as far as features all I want is a decent stereo, AC, and that is all. I just want to be comfortable and enjoy the sound as I drive. I have a 2024 Base work truck a 4x4. Manual windows, has a very nice stereo(Ram always has great stereos systems) and it rides nice. That is what I will buy for my personal vehicle.
Still driving my 1997 GMC 3500 with 126k and 17 inch wheels. I use it for towing my jeep and sxs. Spent a good bit of time in the dunes. I like the 17 inch wheels for the flotation on the sand. Waiting for the new Ram and the 8 speed trans.
I enjoy my 2024 High Country 2500 Duramax. I call it "Curb Queen". Fluid filmed in the fall. Front end wrapped. Ceramic coated. And only driven in the salt twice.
I noticed your fluid film comment and wondered if you had done the application yourself or had a shop in NY state do it for you ?. The reason I ask is that I have a truck on order and am thinking in terms of trying to fluid film it but its not like I own a hoist/rack so its going to be a real pain and still in the process of rounding up a spray system that hopefully will work. I can not find one shop anywhere in the area that does that type of service where I am in western Canada, its always that so and so shop used to do it but not any more is all I hear.
Just traded my GMC Denali for a 24 Ram 3500 Mega with Aisin.. Had to with the discounts available. I missed that Aisin with the exhaust brake and stock air suspension on the 3500.. Videos coming soon. I will order a 25 also but waiting on some releases first.. The dependability and parts availability on these trucks is better than the new 10 speeds that are having issues.. Also tired of paying so much for these trucks.. Ram upper trims are moving in Texas due to the pricing. Saving 20-25k is pulling peeps in.. The limited with new instrument cluster and auto level air is nice!!
I bought my 2021 chevy crew cab RST Z71 4x4 standard bed 3.0 diesel. $52k with no extras. It still has the shifter on the column & real bed. I wanted a truck not luxury & that's what I got... very satisfied with my purchase
I'm not an off road guy and like trucks. Using trucks for truck stuff. I don't need the luxury stuff. Just picked up a F150 XL single cab short bed 4wd. The XL trim has all the bells and whistles I ever need and the 5.0 makes it quick af
I like the luxury but I also like the tough look and capability. Ram 1500, leveled on Bilstein’s with +1 upsized up, all terrain tires. I joke about it but, being in the air, able to run through the mud, climb hills and cross creeks… makes my Johnson feel 2.5” inches bigger… like the Bilstein’s do the truck 😂
I still love and drive everyday more than my GMC HD a 13 Silverado LS with the 4.8 v8 4x4 ext cab it still have the original engine and transmission with 226k
It’s definitely the look that people like right now. It is just a fad though and will eventually be replaced with something else. Always happens this way. The luxury part is definitely here to stay. This has been happening with trucks since the late 90s because trucks are more and more used as primary family vehicles instead of just work vehicles. A crew cab 4WD 1/2 ton pickup is just about the perfect vehicle in my opinion. They ride good. They get pretty good fuel mileage. They have a lot of power. And they can do just about anything most families want to do. Now the 3/4 and SRW 1 ton trucks are starting to take that crown because of the added capabilities that they have. But they do suffer in ride and fuel economy.
My 2024 Silverado LT 3500 SRW came with 33 inch 275/70/18s. Why a 3500? The 4k pound payload capacity can handle the weight of bigger tires, running boards and aftermarket bumpers. I now run Toyo RT Trail 37/12.5/18s with a 4 inch Cognito and black badging. I can park my LT with the “refreshed” grille next to any stock High Country or GMC Denali and it’s my truck people ask about. Now why is that? Like the video said, most are not going off road, they simply like the looks. The Trail Boss package will be a big hit for that very reason. I don’t think many care about the ride quality as much. Granted my 37s allow for a max 65psi vs 80psi which gives a softer ride. There is a reason the AEV 3/4 ton trims have a $105k price tag. The looks.
My local Ford dealer has Super Duties (including F550s) coming out there (you know what). Would not buy a new truck....quality control issues with everything from GM to Ford to Toyota. No Thanks
I'll be totally honest I really like the looks of most new trucks in the HD series in all brands. I'm a GM guy so it would definitely be that brand. But as far as these packages offered on these trucks and there is a lot of nice options however with these prices I just can't afford a new one he k I can't afford a 5 year old truck, well I can but I refuse to let a payment dictate and alter my lifestyle. Vehicles in general has went off the charts. Many people are paying more for car payment than mortgages or rent and that's crazy. I guess I just haven't figured out how people afford these new vehicles but they're definitely plenty on the road or I'm doing something really wrong. I currently have a $450 payment on a 2011 yukon denali but it's a short term loan. And that was a hard pill to swallow for me up to this point I never had a car note payment over $325. That being said I never have purchased a new vehicle either! Hope prices come down at some point but I doubt they will now they've been way overpriced for about 5 years now so I never see it going backwards. And the sadest part is vehicles almost 10 years old are worth more on a lot than what they was new.... crazy... but I enjoy watching your channel and as always providing great info to us folks! And at the end of the day i just want a truck i can pull my dump trailer when needed and enclosed 14 ft trailer and have a good ac and heater. The basics!
I bought my truck to tow. 3500’s are to heavy for off road play. I have needed my 4x4 when backing my trailer up hill. I also got 4x4 so the state trooppers won’t make me put chains on.
Owned a truck from each of the big 3. All in SLT/XLT/LT trim with the 4 X 2 S/C Max tow package. I'm disgusted with all theses Lariats/Laramie's/Delanie's trims on the dealers lots. Usually get a new truck every 10 years,.. still driving my 2011 Ram for now. No rush, but could care less about the 90 Trail Boss sitting on the lots.
None of what you're saying matters the packages don't matter the accessories that they put on these trucks doesn't matter what matters is they saw there for a period of time that they could charge ridiculous prices for things raise their prices and people are actually paying it now people aren't paying for it. They don't want to pay these ridiculous prices for all these extra add-ons and features and trim packages so they're not buying anything. You could take $25,000 off of $75,000 pick up and people still most likely will not buy it. They're just fed up with the manufacturers taking total advantage of the consumer but now they can't backpedal because they're stuck with the profit margins that their accountants are looking for I don't feel bad for them at all. The only thing that we is consumers can do is to buy much lower trim level related vehicles and hopefully get huge discounts and rebates on them. That's all we can do.
I wish you would have asked the folks that elected an off road vehicle, how many would go off road or use the truck to its capabilities. Also, capture their age. My wife (71 yo) recently bought a Bronco, she wanted off road. Her idea is off road is driving the 2 plus miles of dirt roads to our home. I'm into the lux, too old for off road. All three look nice on the outside, RAM has the best interior and I really like the GM redesigned interiors. Ford, no so much, the displays remind me of older arcade games.
It's like owning firearms. I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Natural disaster in your area, flooding and tons of mud? Might be a life saver.
I would do the HD Ford F-350 Platinum with the Tremor pkg instead of the HD Ford F-350 FX it screams perfect to ME!! And I just like the word Tremor instead of 4X4 name . I may never go off road but incase l do I want it in style. And again it's just me because of the suspension upgrade.
In Colorado I’m seeing 24 silverados with 4x4 and duramax prices at 43k. If only they actually had the Allison transmission and not those crappy 10 speed GM “Allison branded” transmissions
I don't understand because a lot of you people want off-road trucks but when you do get it you never take it off road. I know because I take my brand new truck off-roading and I still do today and I never see a truck a full size truck like a super duty anywhere near off-road areas😂😂😂😂
I would rather lift the truck myself and put my own 22's on it.(factory wheels are hideous) I like the luxury truck with the chrome. Im 37 years old but growing up if you bought the truck with the black or painted bumpers it was the cheap one.
If I can ever afford new again, I will buy a Ram 2500, crew cab, 8ft box, 4x4 with a Hemi. I prefer cloth seats and NO sunroof. I don't get why anyone would want a sunroof on a truck.
@@sblsbl7600 because Ford trucks, have max recline seats in the front which lay completely flat, and can look out at the stars or the clouds just saying LOL people want options they may never ever use.
I want a basic truck, ac, radio that’s it. I don’t need all that tech. I need a truck less than 40k that’s dead reliable. It makes no sense to pay 100k for a luxury truck that you will never off-road and stays in the shop to the point you abandon ship. Build an affordable low tech 300k mile truck with a 200k mile drivetrain warranty.
@@brandonpittman5243 Naturally aspirated 3.8l v6. It's the only midsize left that isn't a turbo four. It has the same Mercedes licensed transmission as the Titan, a 9 speed auto. The engine/transm combo has been out for 5 years at least and is looking really solid.
I bought my truck to tow. 3500’s are too heavy for off road play. I have needed my 4x4 when backing my trailer up hill. I also got 4x4 so the state trooppers won’t make me put chains on.
I can get a 4x4 truck and customize it with off road suspension myself. What I’m really looking for in a pick up is reliability and reasonable prices.
Yessss….i second that
Amen to that.
With as few computers possible and a radio I can swap out to whatever I want
The only shift that I am seeing is nobody is buying because of bad quality and high prices.
I see a lot of negative comments. The guy is just doing his job and he does it well ,it’s not his fault that some of us can’t afford it.
So , I don’t go off roading , I don’t tow anything , and I purchase a FORD F350 king ranch tremor because thats what I wanted and that’s what makes me happy 😂. Like always GREAT VIDEO JB
I want a truck I can afford and reliable.
POWER WAGON 2025
Ram is STILL trying to sell leftover 2022 models even with big discounts. Still a sign of just how ridiculous truck prices have gotten.

Here I am still driving my trusty steed of almost 17 years and 300k miles. 2008 Tundra CM Limited 5.7….it is eternal! Immortal!
