Hi John - the room looks amazing! One thing - I had the same issue with the UCS X wing. Take it off the stand and rotate the stand 180 degrees and then put it back so it points downwards. You can take the plaque off too and it will just sit on the now front side and obvs change the position of the Luke minifig to the new front of the stand too. It will look so much better as you don't need to keep looking at a load of anti-studs!! Hope this helps and keep up the great work :)
I love how you have Darth Vader picking fights with people in Assembly Square 🤣 Also, I’ve read that if you put white Lego bricks into a bowl of Peroxide and leave it sitting outside in the sun for a while it will make them white again. I’ve never tried it but people online say it works. Read about it if you want to make your old Star Wars sets white again. I don’t know exactly how to do it because I haven’t tried it.
Great to see your room expand since the last we saw it. I would defintely say you need more shelves, maybe some more hanging wall shelves to fill up the walls a bit better with future built sets. My gf and I are looking to finally get some shelving so we can fill our extra room with our sets. We are quickly running out of room in our closet for stored sets built/unbuilt. It ucks we dont really have the room to display everything aside from sets my gf deems home decor and seasonal/holidays sets periodically haha. Its gonna be awesome once we can decorate our room
Yeah it’s evolved over the past few months, just seems Lego sets are getting bigger and bigger lol. I understand how you feel when it comes to lack of space, I had to wait many years to have a room like I have now, when you finally get there you will really appreciate it🙂 I’m thinking about doing a themed bookshelf/shelve that I change depending on the time of year, will Hallowe’en and Christmas not to far off, might be a good time to start planning now🙂

Thank you, hmm I hadn’t considered wall mounts, might have to look into that. The X-Wing is really a bit of a pain to display due to the stand being right in the middle of the set, not sure what else Lego could have done but it’s a bit awkward🙂

@@TheDyslexicGeak yeah i’m wondering if you position a shelf beneath it? Perfectly measured distance so that the modular is in line with the rest of DA but that it also rests perfectly on the bottom half. It wouldn’t need to be millimetre accurate.

The room looks fantastic! Have you thought about putting any of the larger sets in other rooms as permanent displays? Also, do you know when you plan to build Rivendell? It’s a gorgeous display that would look thrilling next to your Tower of Orthanc I imagine
I think once I get some more bookcases/shelves I should be ok for a while, plus I kinda like looking at my collection🙂Not sure when I’m going to build Rivendell, I need to sort out another couple of billy bookcases as it’s so big but you right I think it will look great with the Tower of Orthanc and Black Gate🙂
How many sets do you have/approx in ur collection? it looks amazing and quite large, i also have a lot of the sets u have and maybe similar size, i have around 90 (83 lego + 7 non-lego/knockoff but lego compatible) sets & approx. 57k pieces. Also wuts ur biggest set in ur collection mine is the assembly square by piece count, 4002 pcs
Currently I think my collection is similar to you, over 100 sets including the sealed ones. According to the Lego builder app I have over 133k Lego pieces🙂My largest set I have built so far is also the Assembly Square but my biggest set in collection is Rivendell at 6k pieces, followed by Diagon Alley at 5.5k pieces🙂
Getting closer to that 1K number - come on - if you view, subscribe! Always enjoy your content from the USA. Displays ae great, a mix of a bit older and the new...looks like my offfice!
