- One thing I did not expect was for me to fall for this song so quickly! Because, from experience, it always took me several listenings to fully love the chorus since it is always that part of their song which take me by surprise every time. And so I was expecting to have the same experience this time around but they're surely doing right and they're surely doing something even better this time around because I ended up kinda being oppressed with this song and its chorus.
I think though that a big reason for it is because I was already familiar with the tune and thanks to that I had less to digest than per usual and so my brain assimilated the song more easily?
I also was worried the super well known sample would somehow overpower the song in itself since it is so well known but I am relieved to see that the song was super well balanced and that the verses and especially the rap had their own flavour which made them equally as impactful as the chorus itself.
And while the MV isn't my favorite aesthetic wise I absolutely love how, here again, we get to see the members individually and by giving them one color each, they stand out all equally too!
To sum up, I have become obsessed with this comeback!
Also I just noticed but the whole IVE spelled backwards in the lyrics !!! Freaking genius!

This was the BIGGEST SLAY THIS YEAR!!! Wonyoung and leeseo surprisingly ate this up and made it their era I need more kpop to have 70s strings like this the “I will survive” sample was so well used and perfect I just wish it was ducking longer 😭😭😭 (also the firework scene screamed budget and was gorgeous)

The original source material that the songwriters utilized for both songs was from "I Will Survive." Let's say you're a song and respect a well known artist such as Whitney Houston. You feel particularly inspired by "I Will Always Love You" and write 2 separate tracks based on that song. See why your argument doesn't really work if you put it into perspective? Two similar works do not necessarily equate to having a direct relationship with one another, though there might be a *shared* link that does have a direct relationship with said works.
Liz should get more lines. But this song is their best imo.
i think starship is giving these girls their spotlight each release. tho we couldn’t deny that WY and Yujin were treated differently, but ELEVEN was actually Liz’s era as well. she was known as the blonde member on their debut, LOVE DIVE was for Leeseo, and now it’s for Rei and Gaeul.

You need to hear "MY SATISFACTION" THAT SONG IS ONE OF THE BEST BSIDES IVE EVER LISTENED TO. its so title track worthy too but i can understand why after like was the title track.

Gaeul’s voice is so beautiful when she sings. I’m glad she got more lines this comeback! Also the fact that the choreography during the instrumental part of the chorus is so clean is incredible! The amount of practice to get everyone’s arms at the same angle at the same time must have taken forever! So proud of Ive! They deserve ROTY!
