IVE 아이브 'Either Way', 'Off The record', 'Baddie' MV REACTION

- They really took this opportunity to showcase variety didn't they?! From what I understand, those three songs are three title tracks right? And yet, I understand why they decided to leave 'Baddie' for last! It's the one that is, in my opinion, the most impactful one even though the song in itself isn't that powerful. At least not that much compared to other or typical girl crush song. This is something I have discussed before but I find a lot of their songs to be almost subdued and not that explosive? But the songs still feel of quality because they managed to embody the proper vibes to deliver the songs correctly. Here for 'Baddie', they definitely did embody the feline quality of a cat and its behaviour! The idgaf, majestic, almost bored expression of a cat vibes were amazing and fitted the whole mystical concept too! Absolutely loved the MV for the three of them, for different reasons obviously but cinematographically speaking, all of them were great! Loved the more vulnerable and raw vibes for 'Either way' and the retelling of fairy tales in 'Off the record'!
My ranking as of now would be 1)Baddie, 2)Either way and 3)Off the record but I know that depending on my mood that ranking could really easily change.
I have to admit though, that while I loved 'Baddie' on a first listen (and I realise how ironic this is sounding), I don't think this comeback to be as impactful as their previous one. Neither of these three songs can compete with the masterpiece that 'IAM' is still in my opinion. But I guess that only goes to show that they are bringing diversity to the table, and that is something that I cannot complain about!

I completely agree, I AM it's their best song ever, it's a masterpiece. But I don't necessarily think they need to surpass their previous releases, mainly because they have demonstrated that they never miss, like never, I will always love an IVE song. But if in the future they release a song that beats my love for I AM, I will be extremely surprised, grateful and forever in love with IVE.

This album, all of the songs did not CATCH me at the first listen, but all of the songs are such a grower, like after the 1st listen, i CRAVE it again and again. IVE got me addicted to their song again. They never fail.

Yes! This actually what I felt the first time I listened to Love Dive. I always thought the sound empty then I didn't realize, I keep listening to it. 😂
Honestly, I love the diversity in this album. All three titles tracks are so fun to listen and are so ive core.
Even baddie, it sounds like ive. Very elegant but yet has a teen crush.
In my opinion and understanding, I think these 3 titles are all somewhat connected.
Starting with EITHER WAY, wherein other people have different views of you whether hate or love. They just keep pretending, hiding their emotions even if they are hurt. "Either Way they're good"
Then there's Off The Record, they are starting to share their worries, share their thoughts(they have each other), and slowly coming out of their shells... to be able to express their thoughts and feelings and most importantly themselves, as who they are. Also, them tempted to try something new, something that they've never done before, something extraordinary...
Lastly, Baddie, they took the risk to completely come out of their shell and their comfort zones. They don't care what other people may think, say, or do. All they care about is what they want to do and do what they want. They're like a cat, reigning this world with so much courage, strength, and being unbothered af. (most specifically about what people will say).
In conclusion, the transition from showing ➡️ vulnerability ➡️ blossom out ➡️ BADDIE

I really love and appreciated ive that they really dared to served us so many new and unexpected things on every cb, they show us their different sides (like istg this album really serve different things like ballad melancholic song, chill & bright song, then banger cunty song) they show us their versatility🔥

Many idols get acting lessons. I imagine Yujin has. I'd imagine in another year or two Yujin will get a chance to act. I'd think Starship wants to get the group firmly established before introducing the scheduling mess that acting can become, especially if you or multiple members become successful at it.

I like that IVE has been able to show more range this comeback. I did not expect any of these sounds after huge impactful songs like I AM or Love Dive, but I enjoy these. Here, I like the vibes of Off the Record and OTT best. I think because the sounds are a bit subdued and good I could listen to this album repeatedly and not tire quickly. The songs are attractive in a different way that I appreciate.

I like how they managed to tone down their music colour in this comeback and Baddie quite surprised me in a good way I like the song alot . They can do trap beat😍 One thing for sure is that they want to show various sides as a young group IVE needs to expand global fan base for their longevity that would be another challenge for a relatively smaller label than big ones. Having said that I love every single song in the album.

Yes yujin has been "acting" in cf's and also in megapass which was also a commercial but acting based. Yujin def has big big acting potential and I hope we get ro see that side some time in the future

I LOVE Either Way and Off the Record. Both the songs and their music videos!!! For Baddie… I’m not sure yet. I love that they are trying something new, but it’s just a style of song that I don’t gravitate towards. And I wish that the video would show more choreo, because that is what elevated the song for me.
