They are definitely the new power group. They’ve been topping the charts all year and breaking all kinds of records. Their last comeback before this Love Dive is probably going to win SotY at end of year awards. The I Will Survive strings sample is genius, they did it justice. Yujin and Wonyoung are former Izone members from the Produce 101 show.

I think this is the first 'After Like' reaction video I've ever watched where the reactors didn't mention or notice that the hook in the chorus is sampled from 'I Will Survive'.

The blonde is Gaeul and yes she is stunning. She has been destroying everyone this era and I am so here for it. I love this release so much too! They have two other titles, Eleven (debut) and Love Dive. Both were loved immensely by the public and Love Dive is still charting in the top 10 in Korea almost 5 months later.
The blond girl is Gaeul. She's the eldest one in the group and a dancer nad rapper.
A little trivia, since I haven't seen this piece of knowledge in the comments here - the last scene, the one with the fireworks, the whole chorus and the postchorus dance. It was a one-shot with an actual fireworks boomin' behind them. In my books, that's beyond badass 😁

ive is a group that debuted on 12/01/21 and they were already destined to be a famous group not only because of the company but because two members of the famous ex-group iz*one "yujin and wonyoung" were going to re-debut (it was a group of 12 girls who came out of a survival program, but the contract was only for two years).

IVE is a monster rookie group, i pretty sure they will win at MAMA for the award rookie of the year. They debut in last December and they are already so famous. They debut song "Eleven" make them win 13 times in music show and they 1st comeback "Love Dive" is still in the actual chart a few months after it's release. IVE songs are so addicting, "Eleven" is my favorite song of all time to be honest so i can't wait to see your future reaction to them.
They currently have 2 wins in music shows. And the entire rap part was written and composed by the member REI.. so talented group.

They are definitely at the top of the K-pop echelon even though they only debuted last December 2021. Currently this song is already #1 in all Korean Charts even when they released almost at the same time with powerhouse groups Blackpink, Twice, and SNSD. Their previous comeback "Love Dive" will probably win the Song of the Year at the year-end awards because even though it is already 5 months ago after its release, it's still on the top of all Korean charts. Their debut song "Eleven" is maybe the most successful debut song in a long time (still in the Top 20 in all Korean charts). The two members Wonyoung (Red) and Yujin (Pink) are former members of also a top-tier group IZ*ONE so they have a great dedicated fanbase already pre-debut and now already grew exponentially because of their chart topping tracks. Wonyoung is the 4th gen it girl because she has the most advertisements and really known in the general public for her godly visuals and proportions. She is also currently the MC of Music Bank. Yujin on the other hand is also now a famous variety star as she is famous to the Korean public for her skills in the variety show "Earth Arcade" and also in other variety show guestings. Other members are Rei (Green), Leeseo (Yellow), Liz (Sky Blue), and Gaeul (Dark Blue).
IVE is the junior sister group of my favorite group WJSN. I have to say that the looks selected by Starship (their company) really suit my aesthetic. Not the kind of simple beautiful appearance, but the kind of handsome and beautiful appearance. I also especially like the characters of the starship artists. They are frank, humorous, and cute.

AAAAHHHHHHH okay so I love IVE they're my babies so don't mind me dumping a little essay on you:
First of all, yes it's pronounced like "I've", their fandom name is Dive.
They debuted last december with their song "Eleven". They became the fastest girlgroup to win a music show after their debut, winning just 7 das after release (to put in perspective - songs generally aren't eligible to win in their first week of release). Bagging a total of 13 wins with that song they swiftly released their net comeback, "Love Dive", in april, which hit like a grenade, it them 10 music show wins and scored some All-Kills on the charts (so far it's the song with the most music show wins that was released this year). Now they came back with After Like, got their second win for it today, and are currently scoring All-Kills on the charts again. They are a monster rookie group for sure.
The members are, in age order:
Gaeul: the girl with the short blonde hair, she is a rapper and vocalist. She is 19 years old, born in '02.
Yujin: the girl in the pink outfit/set, she is the groups leader, vocalist and dancer, born in '03 (on 1st september, so she's turning 19 today - or tomorrow, depending on your time zone). She was indeed in a survival show called Produce48, made the final line up and was the 2nd youngest member of a group called Iz*one that was active for 2 1/2 years before their contract was up and they had to disband.
Rei: the girl in green who is starting the song, she is the main rapper and a vocalist, she was born in '04. She is actually Japanese, but practically fluent in korean, she wrote the rap in After Like.
Wonyoung: the girl in the red outfit, she is vocalist and sort of the groups center (i don't think it was explicitly stated but because she is, like Yujin, very known to the public, she is often put in the center). She is also born in '04, on August 31st, so she just turned 18. Like Yujin she was a part of Iz*one, and because she was first place in the produce show, she was the groups center and also the youngest member. (Won 1st place on the day she turned 14)
Liz: the girl in the light blue set with the long pigtails, also born '04, she is the groups main vocal. Sadly she didn't have a lot of opportunities to show that off in this song, I recommend checking out their other songs and their besides (especially Royal), to hear more of her singing.
Leeseo: finally, the girl in yellow, the groups maknae, born in '07, a whole baby (very talented baby, but a baby nontheless lmao)
That's only very brief info about them all. I was a fan of Izone when they were still active, so this group is very dear to my heart, it makes me very happy to see wonyoung and yujin succeed in this way. I think Ive is an outstanding group, because their whole line up is top tier, all the girls are exceptionally talented, and even though yujin and wonyoung have a lot more experience, you can't tell at all because the other 4 girls are just that talented and have no problem keeping up with the 2 girls that essentially have ~3 years of experience on them.
I'm gonna end my rant here by saying: definitely do check out their other 2 title tracks and their b-sides (one b-side per comeback, "Take it", "Royal", "My Satisfaction" - I hope starship gives them a proper mini Album soon). Looking forward to you checking out more of them!
PS: just in case you're curious and have the time, and are ready to get into an already disbanded group, I totally recommend checking out Iz*one. It was a very talented group, also very fun and chaotic (12 members - chaos is inevitable), that broke a lot of records in their time. A lot of the ex-members have gone on to become very talented and succesfull in their new endeavors, like these two with Ive, two girls in the new hybe group Lesserafim, some succeeding in their home country japan, and plenty of talented soloists, actresses and dancers.
You made well a long story short. Good job. Actually we can talk about the precious girl group Iz*one all day long but it's not the place.

The two tallest women are from another group called izone that was disbanded about a year or two ago and have redebuted with 4 other members to form the 6 member group IVE (I have). It's a slightly sad story with a happy outcome. I think you'd like izone and possibly do a deep dive on the members since many of them are still active as a solo or group act. Another IVE song I'd recommend is Love Dive.
