I don't know if anyone else has pointed this out, but that patch at 15:04 is from the 6th Armored Division. It was a unit activated in 1942 for WWII and then in-activated in 1945. It is a pretty rare patch, as most of the people who were in that unit have since passed. Cool piece of military history though.
Thanks for sharing that detail. When I seen it, I noticed it look similar to my grandfather’s Army uniform especially when I seen the patch. He served in WWII and Korean War. I would love to find something like that.
When you said it was a letter from a thrift store, I was expecting it to be a nasty letter banning you from shopping there because you are resellers. That was nice of them to refund your money for the VCRs.
I got one of these for filming in a thrift store and they found out who we were. No warning at all, we got the letter saying that we had to take down all of our footage or they would sue us and we are not allowed back. Worst day ever. But super cool for you 2. That's awesome. Considering the number of local resellers that cross paths with you each time out (not to mention people that visit your area who are resellers), I imagine that shout-out could bring them a fair amount of business. Plus it was a very solid business decision just to get YOU back into the store. Very smart.
When I get a lot of plush. We give them to kids that walk past our flea market booth. Especially special needs children. The smile on their faces are priceless. One mom brings her little by about once a month. Every time she gets a special toy last time she came by she got a 3' Minnie mouse. The smile and excitement was so beautiful to see. I thrift to give to our community kids as well! It makes my day as well to see them smile. Not looking for the almighty dollar all the time - sometimes someone needs the things I find and can't afford it on their own. Warms my heart to be able to "pay it forward". ❤
Like others commented, the triangle patch is a WW II shoulder sleeve insignia belonging to the 6th armored division USA Army. The colors stand for the 3 military branches of the armored division: Yellow is cavalry, red is artillery and blue is infantry; with the tank tracks representing mobility, the lighting is shock attack and the cannon is fire power. Hubby loves military and fire department patches so I've seen my fair share :)
My daughter was the queen of the claw machine. When she was 10 (now 15) and has zero interest in the plush in her room so I opened another ebay account made her maintain it, communicating with customers, taught her how to ship and everything.. she sold maybe $400 I'm plush in 3 months and goes wild when she gets offers.. haha
That's a great way to teach her how to run a small business. My daughter is 17 and an artist and she's been selling her stuff on and off online for the past couple of years now. It's her small business and she's proud to make sales.

I stopped today at a non-profit that’s always closed when I pass them and got yelled at by the manager for scanning items. No signs saying no scanning, anywhere. I paid for the 2 items I found and asked about the policy and why there was no signage, the cashier said they don’t want people to resell 🤔. The prices are the same either way so why does it matter what people do after they purchased? They lost my business that.
I am with you. If you are selling an item for $2 and I buy it I can do anything I want with it. It's mine. People have been reselling for decades. This isn't new. Thrift stores sell stuff they get for free!!!!!
I never understand why stores do that. Whether it's a thrift store like Goodwill or a retail store like Walmart. The way I see it, people who film their hunt & their finds are generating interest in the store & their products and are likely driving traffic to their store. Additionally, they're educating people about brands & products. Don't these stores want their items to sell? Furthermore, it's keeping stuff out of landfills. I've learned there is a segment of the younger generation that wants nothing to do with Grandma's china. But there's also a segment that is generating renewed interest in these items, as they wish to upcycle and find new purpose for many old things again. I hope so. We've lost a lot of tradition, and I would love to see younger people bringing it back!
I predict that with their POOR business model, they will eventually go out of business, even if they are getting donated items for free. It doesn't take many people having a poor experience in the store and with "word of mouth", ppl will lose interest in going there. To expect ppl not to resell is ludicrous. Once you buy something, YOU own it and are free to give it away, keep it, or sell it....your choice. SMH
When my grandchildren were small, we would have them go through the plushies and donated them to the local ambulance services. The EMTs were so grateful, they give them to children they transport. My grandchildren learned to share what they have. 1 time we took a 65 gallon bag full of plushies.

I don't know why but I thought back to your lunch hour (well half hour) trips to the Goodwill. It's amazing how far you've come and the different ways you've found to source products to sell. Watching the two of you together is great. I remember in the beginning Haley (hope that's spelled correctly) didn't think very much of your buying and selling. It's come full circle now and it's so good that she's out there doing this with you. She has quite an eye and it's always interesting seeing her find treasures. You've got to be the nicest reselling couple on you tube without a doubt. You're very handy with your advice and knowledge given so freely in your videos. Our outlet here in Winston is so packed all the time with people who have just decided they want to make this their full-time business thanks to videos like yours! Meanwhile the stores around town simply cannot hire people even at $20 an hour. For anyone thinking about getting into eBay and flea market stuff in general it is not a lucrative profession unless you're very aggressive and willing to work longer hours than you would for someone else!

Dansko are very very expensive shoes. I've sold a pair in like new condition for about $80 on Facebook marketplace. So I would make sure to look up that particular pair before putting it up for $25. They are use a lot by nurses and medical staff. I would think they would sell even better on eBay. Good luck and great finds!!!

I came here to say that! They totally made me laugh that they thought that was a foot scraper pee thing. Baby bottles and other things are put in on that to dry.
Was in a Goodwill a few weeks ago and the staff was talking about a pair of athletic shoes someone bought, after he paid for them told them the real value ($700).
It's been awhile since I've sold on ebay & am working on getting back into it. (So many things have changed in the 4-5 years I haven't sold...) Anyway, I was thinking the same thing about the mugs! Plus, as a lot, packaging & shipping (at least IMHO) is much easier!
11:26 It's called "Grass". I have one of those in my kitchen. It's for drying baby bottles. The funny part of the story was that it was a baby shower gift from a friend that is a major stoner. So my stoner friend got me grass :D

The Flower dish is Carnival Glass. Be careful when you clean it up. No dishwasher, no abrasive cleansers. Don’t soak it, sometimes this is “flashed glass” meaning the glass is painted and if you soak it the color can lift off. Pretty dish- good luck on your sales!
Look up 'Iridescent Carnival indiana Glass Flower bowl' and you will find the exact one. The price estimate of $10-15 isn't far off. Maybe more $10-20.

Lol I bought a pair of wedge suede boots didn't wear them for 2 weeks. Wore them to work one night and kept seeing g black stuff on floor. I didn't know where it was coming from. MY BOOTS!!! By the end of the night they had completely dissentgrated. I was walking on a piece of metal. How embarrassing!!

I am a nomad and I went to the clearance center here in Pheonix and BRO IT IS CRAZYYYYYY & MASSIVE Everyday. I went because I didn't pack cold weather clothes. Example I got a Patagonia wind breaker jacket that folds into its own pocket BRAND NEW with the tag still on it ($119) and I pretty much paid nothing because it doesn't weigh ANYTHING (literally)

Your bins is SO MELLOW on half off day, I wish mine was that chill! Your regular price day is straight up relaxing XD Not only that, the fact that there are actual PAIRS of shoes in the same bin is just mindblowing to me. I don't know if it's malice or negligence, but at my bins the shoes come out completely jumbled across multiple bins, and there is a whole shoe-trading subculture within the bins shoe buyer populace.
Right? I was shocked that there were pairs of shoes actually together as well. I don't think I've ever found a pair of matching shoes in my local bins!
The prices in that thrift shop were all over the place. $10 for a full set of golf clubs (which is very cheap) and $3.99 on shoes (also cheap) but $5 on a plush which seems expensive compared to those other prices.
I think the iridescent bowl may be vintage and a carnival glass type thing. I would check before cleaning it. Great thrift store refund. Nice that some vendors are still nice.
Just a comment not directed at Hairy Tornado! I donated 10 Wool Longsleeve Shirts to my Local Salvation Army that my Husband no longer can wear due to weight loss ! These shirts looked great and where for big large sizes . I thought this was great because those sizes were realy hard to find and someone in need would be able to stay warm. Well I was looking at our towns website for things for sale and I saw a add with all of the shirts forsale at the price for 16.99 apiece! It realy mad me upset ,

Tip: don’t place your items on thick boxes like you did for the glass, that box is probably like 2 pounds. I learned to use plastic bag or tote bags. Makes a difference lol

You can put the hats in dishwasher on top rack. Take out when the dishwasher stops do not let stay in dishwasher. After dishwasher stops then put a old towel in hat stuff it good. Let dry like that for a day or two. I always did this with x. husband hats and always work good.

Dansko are very very expensive shoes. I've sold a pair in like new condition for about $80 on Facebook marketplace. So I would make sure to look up that particular pair before putting it up for $25. They are use a lot by nurses and medical staff. I would think they would sell even better on eBay. Good luck and great finds!!!
Haha the “pee grass thing” is actually for drying baby bottles and accessories 😂 I don’t know why they make it look like grass but I totally have one sitting on my kitchen counter. Made me giggle
I came here to say that! They totally made me laugh that they thought that was a foot scraper pee thing. Baby bottles and other things are put in on that to dry.

I'd be grabbing all of those plush to use some as "packing" or space fillers in a box of china or?? I'd add a note to the buyer that hopefully they can give it to a child or grandchild!

The Flower dish is Carnival Glass. Be careful when you clean it up. No dishwasher, no abrasive cleansers. Don’t soak it, sometimes this is “flashed glass” meaning the glass is painted and if you soak it the color can lift off. Pretty dish- good luck on your sales!
Its actually not true carnival glass, just iridized gold glass from the 80s.
It is by Indiana Glass. I would call it Iridescent amber glass. My mom had that exact one in the late 60s early 70s.
I would agree that it is Indiana glass. Maybe check with The Niche Lady on value.

Lol I bought a pair of wedge suede boots didn't wear them for 2 weeks. Wore them to work one night and kept seeing g black stuff on floor. I didn't know where it was coming from. MY BOOTS!!! By the end of the night they had completely dissentgrated. I was walking on a piece of metal. How embarrassing!!

I am a nomad and I went to the clearance center here in Pheonix and BRO IT IS CRAZYYYYYY & MASSIVE Everyday. I went because I didn't pack cold weather clothes. Example I got a Patagonia wind breaker jacket that folds into its own pocket BRAND NEW with the tag still on it ($119) and I pretty much paid nothing because it doesn't weigh ANYTHING (literally)

Not only that, the fact that there are actual PAIRS of shoes in the same bin is just mindblowing to me. I don't know if it's malice or negligence, but at my bins the shoes come out completely jumbled across multiple bins, and there is a whole shoe-trading subculture within the bins shoe buyer populace.
Right? I was shocked that there were pairs of shoes actually together as well. I don't think I've ever found a pair of matching shoes in my local bins!

The prices in that thrift shop were all over the place. $10 for a full set of golf clubs (which is very cheap) and $3.99 on shoes (also cheap) but $5 on a plush which seems expensive compared to those other prices.
I think the iridescent bowl may be vintage and a carnival glass type thing. I would check before cleaning it. Great thrift store refund. Nice that some vendors are still nice.

I donated 10 Wool Longsleeve Shirts to my Local Salvation Army that my Husband no longer can wear due to weight loss ! These shirts looked great and where for big large sizes . I thought this was great because those sizes were realy hard to find and someone in need would be able to stay warm. Well I was looking at our towns website for things for sale and I saw a add with all of the shirts forsale at the price for 16.99 apiece!

Tip: don’t place your items on thick boxes like you did for the glass, that box is probably like 2 pounds. I learned to use plastic bag or tote bags. Makes a difference lol
I uaed to work at a thrift store . The manager used to harness customers who purchased electronics, fixed them and resold them . She said he can't do that . WTF . I BOUGHT IT ITS MINE AND ILL RE SELL IT IF I WANT TO . GO AWAY CRAZY .

The patch on that jacket is the 6th armored division. They were created during WW2 and disbanded in 1956.

You can put the hats in dishwasher on top rack. Take out when the dishwasher stops do not let stay in dishwasher. After dishwasher stops then put a old towel in hat stuff it good. Let dry like that for a day or two. I always did this with x. husband hats and always work good.
