Once again bloody brilliant Cobba. I bet most of the campaign/mission builders don’t know how too use this. Valuable information.

    just some additional optimizations:
1- "push task" has a priority over the "follow task", so you don't need the stop condition or the flag stuff, the follow will automatically gets interrupted if you push an other task (it's only for the follow , an "attack unit" task won't get stopped by a push task if it already started)
2- (the opposite) you can just add the "flag trigger" + "stop follow condition" without adding a "waypoint switch Task" (BUT in this case you need to put the follower's 1st waypoint straight on the target, so it naturally rejoins it's way since his escort task ended)

hello I need an info about the mission editor I dress u your old video where you explain how to load troops on airplanes and land vehicles, I need a clarification on how to land troops from a terrestrial vehicle. I don't use embarck disembark because it doesn't work with ground vehicles. I simply created a trigger where the troops disappear as if they were loaded on the vehicle, made a certain path created another tigger to make sure that when the vehicle arrives in that area it should activate the troops but it does not, how can I proceed while waiting thank you and goodbye

Hi Mario, You can use the embark and disembark feature normally reserved for helicopters historically for ground vehicles now. It was introduced some time ago. If you don't want to use the in game feature I would recommend you you look at using the CTLD script in conjunction with MIST. Cheers. :-)

@@suntsagancientgamer8241 hello sorry for the delay but I have only now tried to make the speech of the troop transport with the standard embark command but unfortunately it does not work. After this the troops approach the vehicle but do not charge them, I also set an on-land time but once the time has elapsed the vehicle leaves without troops and does not unload them at another point. Unfortunately I don't know scripts and I wanted to do it without using scripts, you have some other ideas by chance. waiting, thank you and greeting

Is there ANY way for me to see somekind of list of all flags in mission. Like: I´m editing f-15C campaign for f-22. There is mission goal "flag 1 on". OK understood, but I dont find anywhere what is flag #1. Tips?

I happened across your brilliant tutorials a bit late. I am trying to command a chopper to 1) follow me 2) orbit 3) resume its course through the F10 menu. A specific flag is set to '1' for each menu item and the other flags are set to 0.. The chopper has three triggerered actions in the propeller menu- Although I have been using flags along with triggers (either as switched condition or repetitive action that checks the flag values) the client chopper dopes not behave. Is this behavior possible?

Hi Suntsag. I am playing around alot in the mission editor. One question you may have the answer to: When I have to AI-planes setup to "Escort" my plane, they take off and circle a few times and then land. Have attached the "Escort"-task in the Advanced waypoint editor to my group.
Should I rather do similar priciple as you did in your video, to let them follow their assigned waypoints after take-off and then trigger a flag and "AI Push Task: ESCORT" after I have taken off? That should force them to escort me, right?

Whilst the video posted as a reply is adequate for an air start, I gather you are having them take off and then once you are airborne you want them to escort you??? If this is the case there are a number of ways to achieve this effectively. It's much longer winded than a simple explanation to type here so contact me on the DCS discord via PM and I will help you out. Cheers :-)

@@suntsagancientgamer8241 Due to you excellent tutorials I have managed the following sequence:
      1. AI planes take off and orbit over the airport waiting for me until I have taken off.
      2. When I am in the air they join up and follow me in close formation.
      3. When we reach the primary target area they will break off and start their CAP task, while I attack the ground targets.
Mission editing is fun when you understand conditions and flags.

In the first example do u need a flag to tell a wingman to do something or is it the best way to make sure he does do it, if that makes sense.

    • @suntsagancientgamer8241
      @suntsagancientgamer8241  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Paul it makes perfect sense.......When you assign a task (in this case to your wingman) you often need to tell them to stop that task before they will entertain performing a different one. I use flags because they are very controllable. You could use time more in the stop condition too or a probability value, it just depends on what you are trying to achieve. :-)

Do you have one regarding AI push tasks? Either it isn't working or I'm doing something wrong. I don't get any options in the drop down menu. And so far my search comes up empty.

    • @suntsagancientgamer8241

Currently if you have used a template of any kind, that will stop the drop down box appearing for selection of the Push Tasks you have already set for your units. Build the mission without the the templates first and set up all your triggers etc. Then add the template of your choice. Cheers.

As I said, in the aircraft setup menu, one of the menus next to the waypoint and load out menus allows you to create a command similar to waypoint commands.
But it is only executed as an AI push command. If you still have trouble with it, I can make a TH-cam guide on this specifically. I don't have the voice and all to entertain, but have a channel I've used for tutorials no one else does. Nothing on DCS yet, as usually I'm seeking information. But I've gotten pretty good with the mission editor.
I'm creating a final mission in a campaign later. It features an AI flight leader and his start up is delayed until I signal ready, among other uses.
