- The RC200 is the second-largest sportsbike that KTM India offers for sale in India - because while there is a Duke 250, there is no RC250. The motorcycle was updated recently featuring lighter wheels and brakes which make a big difference to how to handles as well as how comfortable it is on bumpy roads. It's made the motorcycle much easier to ride harder, which the older KTM RCs could never do. The handlebar position is also higher which makes the riding position for every day use, another useful change. KTM wrapped all that in new bodywork that it says was inspired by the KTM MotoGP machine. However, the fairing design has caused a bit of a stir. We are happy to note that the dark smoke fairing we got on our test bike significantly changed how sleek and sharp the bike looks though. The closest competitor would naturally be the Yamaha YZF-R15 but the RC and the R15 both make excellent starter sportsbikes.

What if KTM launch RC 250 with the Previous RC 390 looks and features and ergonomics of this new RC 200 😅

Bro 250 engine is powerful but calm and not raw like 200 or 390 ..so the engine not suitable for RC250.
Not into these category bike but being a pillion on this bike for 5 min. I had my heart in my mouth

This new look closely seems like sharp Hayabusa from front and similar visors. While riding I feel like I am riding a busa with KTM engine sound.
Performance of the bike is so top notch. So, much better than R15. R15 feels underpowered and has to accelerate more for same power. You can feel acceleration so thrilling. As you rev you can feel the thrill. Mileage is really low. Company claims 30kms but I get only 10 to 15 kmpl. And I drive at around 90 to 100kmph. I get around 25 to 29 mileage when I am driving at around 40 to 45 kmph at 6th gear. You cant go that slow when you a beast like this. Bike is really powerful machine. Rc200 is really amazing bike.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Surprisingly it's very comfortable for tall riders!

I've been looking to purchase a sports bike recently under a budget of lets say 2.4 lacs. The only available options are R15, Gixxer sf 250, and RC200. I'm literally plucking my hair out to decide which way i go. I'm inclined towards the gixxer as it is the most powerful among the others but its is so so outdated and miss out many features that you'd expect in a bike of that price point. Apart from that i find the gixxer best looking too (personal opinion) as it looks so mature and actually suited for touring and long distances. But on the other hand R15 is spectacular in features but lacks punch and in pillion comfort, coming to the rc200 it is what it is but offers a good balance with features and power but I'm not very fond of the way it looks + the fact that the imagery associated with the KTM's these days. Help me out mannnn😩
As your wish go for sf. which means it has long reliability and solid build quality! For touring it offers good ergonomics in quarter liter sport bikes
IMO, you should go with the SF250 since it has a good ground clearance, will feel the most relaxed while riding on highways, has a very approachable seat heat (might not be relevant to you if you're tall), smoother than the RC, looks pretty
R15 feels anaemic compared to the other choices you mentioned. Usable power (torque low down) means everything when going long distances, if you have the means go for the other two
As far as KTMs image, you can change that, it's the rider that matters. Being concerned with what other people do on their machines is not a wise use of your mental faculties
Do take a test ride for all three
As @@NalinKhurb said do take all three and find whichever is convenient .but lack of feature means it's not a bad one. IMO SF engine does have really good grunt! For me It feels it is a long lasting one
@@NalinKhurb what you mentioned is absolutely true, the gixxer seems like the best option to go for especially for that 250cc engine which is very reliable and offers a decent punch at any range. I don't want something very committed as I've to do long runs in city itself and R15 and rc200 aren't touring machines.
@@prathyumnanelangovan2398 That engine is indeed worthy. Not many people appreciate why Suzuki did not choose a liquid cooled setup. The less complications a machine has, that's one less thing to worry whilst touring. And it doesn't heat up even when doing multiple hard pulls

For our Indians, especially youngsters, it's definitely a Big NO. . . Better to start from something small and then go for it. . .

Rc390 is good until it goes to the hands of chapri
No issues its a starter bike in most countries, also has grippier tires and better brakes. Cornering abs, traction control makes it safer than a r15. Don't listen to the uncles suggesting a smaller bike. Anything above 100cc commuters was considered too dangerous for a youngster 10 years ago by uncles wearing chappals and sauce pan helmets 🪖. Be a responsible rider else even an activa could take your life.✌️
You are making videos only for KTM. Can you make one for TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, which I asked earlier too?
Have you see our entire collection?. We are a small team trying to do best we can. TVs Apache is not in our scheduled pipeline. We will get to it earliest we can.

Hey! We don't believe in buying bikes based on VFM. To us, first, you need to feel the desire to have the bike in your life. That's the start point of wondering if the money being spent is worth it or not.

Hey how does the riding posture of KTM RC 200, front suspension and it's fork, and steering compare to KTM RC 390, TVS Apache RTR 310, Bajaj Pulsar RS 200, Suzuki Gixxer SF and SF 250, and Yamaha R15? Asking for an upcoming intercollegiate Racing competition at Kari Race track
The honest answer is most people won't have the skill needed to truly exploit any differences. Of this group, though, the most effective would be the RC390, then the RR310 and finally the R15

Yamaha obviously.
1. The Yzf R15 comes with vva tech like the Honda's v-tech.
2. Yamaha have less to no reliability issues however depending upon the rider.
3. The design of the 2022-23 R15 is amazing as compared to any of its competition.
4. Maintaining a R15 will cost you like maintaining a activa. However the tech loaded Variant will require obviously more cost.
5. The daily rideability of R15 is superior to those of any KTM's
6. Your 155cc bike's gonna smoke every 200cc-250cc motorcycles out there. If not this then idk what else gonna make you feel proud🫀

If you want tractablity, RC 200 is the better performer, especially with a pillion.
But the power does come with reliability issues.

My parents never let me ride a 2 wheeler...one day i asked my parents for an activa...i almost had to find another home...and they don't allow me to take my car to college saying too much petrol consumption...is there sny solution to this problem...?...i mean the parents problem of not allowing 2 wheeler in the house?
That's a common thing in many households. Their fear of something happening to you on a motorcycle isn't unfounded given the state of our roads and the poor driving etiquette of most road users. That said, you can hone your riding skills by enrolling in a riding school and promise to wear good quality riding gear at all times. That may help convince your parents.

I think old RC was better looking
It was a much sharper design.
I prefer classic bikes like Royal Enfield in India... Roads and are not that good and city lots of traffic jams... I really liked the meteor 650 and jawa 42

The 250 engine isn't as rev happy as the 200 and 390 engines are and the RC represents rev happy motors maybe that's why there is no rc250 but if it comes it will be a great hit because most buyers look for value for money rather than brand representation
They should make 250 sports tourer with comfortable handling than being sporty

I'm only getting 30KMPL. After the 1st service.

Try changing the fuel station for sure. What's your weight?

Try revving higher and accelerating slightly faster. It's possible that you're below the most efficient part of what the engine does.

For SE Asian markets where the 250cc rule gives tax benefits the same way that sub4m cars in India get.
Bajaj made a mistake in killing Pulsar Brand by bring KTM's.
Its other way round they made dominar and rs200 with their help.220 was a champ 15 yrs back.. KTM is not some custom built brand its a legend in racing history... Bajaj need to get over old pulsar models and bring new models

No, Price is according to the quality of materials thrown in this RC. RS200 BS6 is completely unreliable machine. Infact it is a piece of junk.
As easy as that conclusion is to reach, we cannot agree. The KTM, especially this new generation, is _leagues_ ahead of the RS
