Oh no! I'm so sorry you were stressed out, but I cannot say enough how much I LOVE this piece. It is so stunning and I completely love the layered composition. You inspire me so much to try something like this in the future! Oh, and the blue morphos and capybaras do overlap in their natural ranges, so they could actually meet! :D Thank you so much for joining us, and I hope you'll continue with us on this journey!

Do they really? That's amazing to know! It's definitely better to know a professional's opinion rather than reading random internet articles xD I'm so happy that you've invited me and I will do my best from now on as well

I was so excited when I hear you were going to be part of the animal artist collective! I knew you would come up with something awesome!
I’m sorry to hear you were stressed, but I totally get that feeling. That always creeps up on you with something important, doesn’t it?
But this is just so amazing! I love the layering! It really makes its own kind of world and draws you in!

I'm glad you understand! I didn't want the AAC down, so the pressure was high xD It's just one of those things we have to learn how to deal with. I'm very glad it all turned okay in the end :)

It turned out so lovely! All of the elements really came together beautifully.

Once I started putting it all together, I let out a deep sigh of relief xD

It sounds like once you got started the process of a looser piece was beneficial and fun for you mentally which is so great since you were stressed! Yay!

    •  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes! I'm not going to do anything "prim and proper" for a while. Perhaps I was a bit too strict to myself... without noticing.

I think the word you were looking for when talking about the wood was a knot? Maybe? On a completely different note, this was so beautiful, Anita! I loved the contrast between the blue and the brown, as well as how dimensional the piece is! Love it!

    •  7 ปีที่แล้ว

I looked it up after the recording and the word I was looking for was a "tree hollow". I've never used this word before, so I was thinking of something completely else at the time of the recording xD

I really like the ones where you cut things up and make them more 3d too! Can't wait to see what you come up with for the next collective and hopefully it's less stressful.
I've also been trying to paint more loose and also have been using capybaras for that since november. They're soooooo adorable aren't they? They literally don't care about other animals cuddling them and just roll with everything like.. a sloth version of a giant bunny-hamster-otter. Have you seen them swim? Oh my goodness, its so adorable.

    •  7 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes, I've seen them swim! Before I saw the videos I thought they were smaller too, but they are as big as a medium-sized dog! And I love their almond eyes >

This is so awesome! So beautiful!!! I love it, the blue butterflies and the very cute and fun little animals! And the background, so very nice colours! I am so glad to hear that you were feeling happy after doing this piece!!! That is great! Anita, you are creating pure magic and wonderful dreams. Thank you so much for sharing! And such a good cause, as well, saving the animals! : )

    •  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Aww, thank you for this delightful comment! I will try my best to paint only "happy" paintings from now on! No reason to stress so much after all :D

Hi. I think the word you were looking for is "hollow" - the hollow of a tree. This work of art is fantastic. At first, I didn't see your vision, but in the end it came together beautifully!

    •  7 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes! That exactly! I looked it up after the recording and it was indeed a "hollow". Thank you so much for mentioning it! It's very hard to see the vision behind a layered piece, so I completely understand. I was doubting myself the whole time, but I tried to trust the sketch I've prepared beforehand :)

  • @MeowMeowKapow

Wait, how do they appear blue without actually BEING blue?!?! That really does sound like magic!
And I’m really so glad that you chose to just let yourself go and play...that’s when I’m most happy making my own art, which I think shows in the piece to the audience. If you’re happy and having fun while making something, I really think you can feel it.
This came out so sweet, and I really love the way you layered everything. And I love the extra touches that you did, like adding the black inside the border. That’s so simple and so smart.

    •  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I should have mentioned more about it... I will do better next time >< So the wings appear blue because of tiny reflective scales in their wings, but are not actually blue. That's why the color may change slightly depending on the angle. MAGIC! xD
I'm hoping that I can continue this "fun" approach because it's much healthier... and I agree with you, the viewer can definitely feel it.
Thank you so much for watching!!

    • @MeowMeowKapow
      @MeowMeowKapow 7 ปีที่แล้ว

Anita Gadzińska woah, so the blue is basically just whatever color the sky is? Neat! Magic magic butterflies.

    •  7 ปีที่แล้ว

It's something called structural color. I've read that the scales absorb all colors of the light except blue, which gets reflected, and that's why we can see the wings as being blue :D It's so cool!

    •  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

It does, doesn't it? I'm just usually not the "bleeds" kind of girl. Back in the day everything had to be super flat, but I got bored with it xD

I've always loved your storybook/whimsical style and I am blown away with how gorgeous this piece is! I loved hearing your passion for these animals and this project! I hope you won't feel too much pressure next time 💕 I also struggled with making my piece more realistic or using my favorite colors but went with my own style and I love what variety we have among the 4 of us especially since we all happen to be primarily watercolorists. I'm so excited to have even more variety in the group as we add members throughout the year! ^_^

    •  7 ปีที่แล้ว

I'm going to work on that whole "pressure" issue because it not only ruins the fun but also negatively impacts the paintings. I associate painting with stress and that makes me paint much less. At the same time, I still love painting, so it's a very frustrating feeling. I'm just glad that everything went fine and I didn't let the AAC down :D And I agree completely! We all have such different styles that it's a lot of fun watching it as a series.

Guess What? I never knew what a Capybaras, is, I've done a search and now I know, I've seen Groundhogs they are a little larger

    •  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

They are so cool! I used to think that they were small, because they are rodents, but they turned out to be quite large!

I used to feed the critters, Odie the Groundhog, had an excellent appetite, he would start eating before I had filled all 3 bowls with shelled roasted peanuts, each day I know he will wonder where I went. I love this work, for it reminds me of him
